About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Float value determines the skin's exterior condition, from Factory New through Battle-Scarred. The Poly Mag spans 0.00 to 1.00 and is available from Factory New through Battle-Scarred; its version label is separate from condition.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is a skin's classification, not its exterior condition. The Poly Mag is Mil-Spec Grade, with an 11.42% chance of appearing when a Recoil Case is opened.

How much does M4A4 | Poly Mag cost?

M4A4 | Poly Mag ranges from $0.04 to $17.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, so compare each listing's exterior, float and version.

Which case contains M4A4 | Poly Mag?

Short Description

M4A4 | Poly Mag is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist side, combining dark gray metal with tan furniture. Its clear, brown-tinted magazine exposes cartridge shapes, giving the otherwise restrained design a distinctive focal point. The finish suits practical, military-inspired loadouts and comes in every exterior, with standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

M4A4 | Poly Mag is a CS2 skin for the M4A4, a fully automatic Counter-Terrorist rifle. The underlying weapon offers greater accuracy but less damage than its AK-47 counterpart. Its Custom Paint Job uses contrasting tan and dark gray sections rather than elaborate decorative artwork. The transparent magazine gives the finish a technical detail without changing its mostly understated appearance. This combination suits players who prefer recognizable weapon components and solid colors over illustration-heavy designs. Owners include coldzera, kennyS and olofmeister, establishing professional ownership without proving broader market demand. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir options let buyers choose the version that fits their collection. Before buying, compare the listing's exterior, exact float value and item preview rather than judging the finish by its name alone.

History and Origin

The Poly Mag was released on July 1, 2022, alongside the Recoil Case. Its arrival formed part of the Recoil Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer emu created the finish, giving the item a named community origin. The skin belongs to The Recoil Collection, which identifies its collection separately from its weapon and rarity. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the Recoil Case no longer drops, so new cases do not enter through that route. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, preserving access to their contents despite retirement. Today, direct marketplace purchases and player trades offer alternatives to the uncertain result of a case opening.

Finish Style

The Poly Mag uses a Custom Paint Job built around tan furniture and dark gray metal components. The receiver, barrel, muzzle and rails share the darker color, creating contrast across the rifle's main silhouette. Raised ribs and recessed slots give the tan handguard a structured, functional appearance. The pistol grip continues the tan color and includes a textured side panel with horizontal finger grooves. On the stock, a tan upper section sits above an angular open frame. The magazine is clear with a brown tint, allowing orange-brown cartridge shapes to remain visible inside it. Internal vertical lines add another mechanical detail to that transparent section. Small pale markings appear on the receiver without dominating the surrounding dark surface. Solid colors and limited decorative artwork keep the overall finish focused on the weapon's construction rather than a graphic theme.

Float Value

The M4A4 | Poly Mag float range runs from 0.00 to 1.00, giving buyers a broad selection of cosmetic conditions. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with none of these exterior categories excluded. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available, but version labels should be checked separately from the exterior and exact float of an individual listing.

Rarity and Popularity

The Poly Mag belongs to the Mil-Spec Grade rarity tier, which is separate from its exterior condition. Opening a Recoil Case has an 11.42% chance of producing this skin, approximately 1 in 9 openings. The case's retired drop status does not remove that acquisition route, because existing Recoil Cases can still be opened.

Why it’s Popular:

• Clear magazine reveals cartridge shapes and internal details

• Tan furniture contrasts with dark gray metal

• Restrained styling suits practical, military-inspired loadouts

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden collecting choices

Price Range

The live M4A4 | Poly Mag price range is $0.04 to $17.00, covering the item across its available versions. Regular and StatTrak listings provide budget-oriented choices, but each exterior should be compared on its own terms. Souvenir listings show substantial exterior-dependent variation, so that version label alone does not establish a typical price. Check the exact float value alongside the exterior when comparing otherwise similar CS2 skin listings. Buyers looking to buy, sell or trade should match the version and condition before using another listing as a price reference.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Recoil Case

Open a Recoil Case for a chance at the Poly Mag, with an 11.42% probability of receiving this skin. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy the Poly Mag directly on the Steam Community Market by selecting a listing for the desired exterior and version. Check its exact item details so that a standard copy is not confused with a StatTrak or Souvenir listing.

4. Trade with Other Players

The Poly Mag can also be acquired through trades with other players instead of a case opening. Verify the offered item's version, exterior and float value before accepting, especially when comparing copies with different condition labels.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired Recoil Case drops restrict fresh case supply, but openings of existing cases can still introduce additional Poly Mag copies. Professional ownership does not establish sustained buying demand, and a rising price trend is not confirmed. Compare standard, StatTrak and Souvenir listings separately rather than assuming case retirement improves the trading prospects of every version.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Recoil Cases enter through drops

• Owned by coldzera, kennyS and olofmeister

• Distinctive transparent magazine and restrained tan styling

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The Poly Mag is a medium-to-poor investment prospect, despite retired case drops and established professional ownership. Budget-oriented regular listings and continued openings of existing cases leave a limited case for scarcity-driven appreciation. The main risk is treating case retirement as proof of future gains when sustained demand and price growth remain uncertain.
