M4A4 | Modern Hunter

M4A4 | Modern Hunter is a CS2 rifle skin with photographic hunting camouflage across its receiver and magazine. Branches, leaf shapes and bark-like streaks combine beige, gray-green, brown and muted orange. Its woodland look suits players who prefer detailed camouflage balanced by plain gray furniture. All exterior grades are available, alongside regular and Souvenir versions, but no StatTrak™ option.

Description

M4A4 | Modern Hunter brings a woodland camouflage finish to the Counter-Terrorist side's full-auto rifle in CS2. Its Hydrographic finish uses photographic detail rather than a simple arrangement of colored patches. The receiver and magazine carry the busiest parts of the design, making them its main visual focus. Overlapping branches and leaf shapes give the camouflage an irregular, layered appearance. Mostly gray furniture and a charcoal grip provide quieter areas around those detailed panels. This combination suits camouflage-focused loadouts without covering every weapon part in the same dense pattern. RUSH is a documented owner, giving the skin a supported professional ownership connection. Buyers can compare exterior, float value and regular or Souvenir status when choosing a copy to equip or collect.

History and Origin

M4A4 | Modern Hunter debuted in CS:GO on August 14, 2013, as part of the Arms Deal update. It belongs to The Militia Collection, which defines its collection identity and trade-up route. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. Its visual theme centers on photographic hunting camouflage, with natural shapes distributed across selected rifle parts. Today, buyers can obtain an existing copy through the Steam Community Market. Player-to-player trading provides another route for exchanging items for the desired version. Trade-up contracts also offer a chance at this skin through a random Restricted result from The Militia Collection. Souvenir copies are available alongside regular copies, so current buyers should distinguish the version as well as the exterior.

Finish Style

The Hydrographic finish gives Modern Hunter a photographic woodland texture rather than a flat geometric camouflage. Pale beige and gray-green form much of the lighter background. Dark brown and muted orange add contrasting patches throughout the patterned areas. Overlapping branches create an irregular network across the receiver and magazine. Bark-like streaks and leaf shapes add smaller details within that network. The camouflage also reaches the front sight support and portions of the barrel assembly. The ribbed handguard and stock remain mostly plain gray, separating them visually from the patterned body. A dark charcoal pistol grip adds another solid-colored area beneath the receiver. Together, these placements balance a busy central design with quieter surfaces around it.

Float Value

M4A4 | Modern Hunter has a float value range of 0.06 to 0.80. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior grade missing from that list. Regular and Souvenir versions exist, and version availability should be considered separately from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

M4A4 | Modern Hunter is a Restricted rifle skin from The Militia Collection. Its collection odds are 0.64%, a figure that should not be used as the probability of a trade-up result. RUSH is a documented professional owner, although that connection alone does not establish broad market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Photographic camouflage with branches, leaves and bark-like detail

• Muted woodland colors balanced by plain gray furniture

• Available in every exterior grade

• Souvenir option for version-focused collectors

Price Range

The live M4A4 | Modern Hunter price range is $33.56 to $992.01. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than fixed exterior or version combinations. Exterior, float value and Souvenir status are useful comparison points between individual listings. For a meaningful CS2 skin price comparison, match those details before judging competing asking prices. Inspecting the actual item image also helps buyers choose a copy whose appearance fits their intended loadout.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Trade Up Contracts

A contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Militia Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Modern Hunter is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

M4A4 | Modern Hunter can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market. Compare the listed exterior, float and regular or Souvenir status to choose a specific copy instead of accepting a random trade-up result.

4. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain Modern Hunter by trading with other players. Before accepting an exchange, confirm the item name, exterior, float value and whether the offered copy is regular or Souvenir.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The range of exterior and version combinations makes like-for-like comparisons important when looking to buy, sell or trade this skin. RUSH's ownership is documented, but broader demand, current listing depth and historical price trends remain uncertain, limiting confidence in short-term trading prospects.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Valve-created finish from The Militia Collection

• Distinctive photographic hunting camouflage

• Souvenir option for collectors

• Documented ownership by RUSH

The investment rating is medium, supported by its collection identity, distinctive finish, Souvenir option and documented professional ownership. The main risk is paying a premium for a particular exterior or version without clear evidence that future demand will support that price.
