M4A4 | Asiimov

M4A4 | Asiimov is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist side with a custom-painted sci-fi finish. Off-white panels, bright orange accents and dark structural sections give it a mechanical appearance. The look suits players who prefer angular designs and strong color contrast. It comes in Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred exteriors, with regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

M4A4 | Asiimov gives the Counter-Terrorist full-auto rifle a distinctive sci-fi appearance in CS2. Its off-white receiver and magazine contrast with orange markings and darker weapon parts. Angular panels and stencil-like details make the finish feel technical rather than decorative. The weapon itself favors accuracy over the greater damage of its AK-47 counterpart. This finish suits loadouts built around orange accents, pale surfaces or a futuristic visual theme. Professional players byali, karrigan and b1t have owned the skin. Buyers can choose between regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions without changing the underlying Asiimov design. When comparing listings, the useful distinctions are the exterior, exact float value, version and visible condition of the individual copy.

History and Origin

M4A4 | Asiimov was released in CS:GO on December 18, 2013. It arrived in the Winter Offensive update alongside the Winter Offensive Weapon Case. Steam Workshop community designer Coridium created the finish. The skin belongs to The Winter Offensive Collection, which also determines its collection-based trade-up route. Existing Winter Offensive Weapon Cases can still be opened for a chance to obtain the rifle. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops of this case. That retirement concerns new case supply, not the ability to buy and open cases already in circulation. Today, direct marketplace purchases, player trades and eligible Trade Up Contracts provide additional ways to acquire the skin.

Finish Style

The Asiimov finish uses a Custom Paint Job to create a sci-fi design across the rifle. Off-white covers the receiver, handguard, magazine and much of the stock, establishing the main color field. Bright orange bands wrap around the handguard and stock, breaking up those pale surfaces. Smaller orange markings appear across the receiver and magazine, carrying the accent color into the central weapon parts. The pistol grip, muzzle and portions of the stock frame remain dark gray or black. Angular panel shapes and thin dark outlines divide the painted areas into mechanical-looking sections. Small stencil-like markings add finer detail without replacing the large, clean color blocks that define the layout. The pictured finish shows scattered scuffs and dark chipped edges, so inspecting an individual listing helps distinguish its condition from the overall design.

Float Value

M4A4 | Asiimov has a float range of 0.18 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no Factory New or Minimal Wear versions. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available, while version type remains separate from the float value and cosmetic condition of a particular copy.

Rarity and Popularity

M4A4 | Asiimov is a Covert rifle skin in The Winter Offensive Collection. Its listed chance from the Winter Offensive Weapon Case is 0.32%, making an opening a chance-based route rather than a direct purchase. Although that case no longer drops, existing cases can still be opened, and finished skins remain obtainable through purchases, trades and eligible contracts.

Why it’s Popular:

• Off-white and orange panels create a distinctive sci-fi look

• Angular details suit mechanical and futuristic loadout themes

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer different collection options

• Documented ownership includes byali, karrigan and b1t

Price Range

The live M4A4 | Asiimov price range is $71.89 to $763.34. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than identifying a particular exterior or version. Compare Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred listings by their exact float and visible condition, not just the exterior label. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir listings should also be evaluated separately because they represent different item versions. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, inspect the actual copy alongside its asking price before deciding to buy, sell or trade.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Winter Offensive Weapon Case

Open the Winter Offensive Weapon Case for a chance at M4A4 | Asiimov, with a listed chance of 0.32%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This route produces a random result rather than securing the desired rifle directly.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Classified skins from The Winter Offensive Collection produces 1 Covert skin from that collection. M4A4 | Asiimov is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Covert skins. The contract therefore offers another acquisition route without guaranteeing this particular finish.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct way to buy M4A4 | Asiimov without relying on a case-opening result. Compare the exterior and version labels carefully so the selected listing matches the intended item. Its available exterior choices are Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

5. Trade with Other Players

M4A4 | Asiimov can also be obtained by trading with another player. Check the offered copy's exterior, float and whether it is regular, StatTrak or Souvenir before accepting. Inspecting the actual item helps confirm that its visible condition matches the intended purchase or swap.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired case source receives no new drops, although existing case openings and eligible trade-ups can still introduce additional copies of the skin. Documented professional ownership gives it a visible player connection, but does not establish how quickly a listing will sell. Compare exterior, float and version before trading, since limited sales evidence leaves short-term demand and price direction uncertain.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case supply receives no new drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive orange, off-white and black sci-fi design

• Established Winter Offensive Collection origins

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir collection options

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by the retired case source, documented professional ownership and distinctive finish. Existing openings and trade-ups can still add copies, while the available evidence does not establish resale demand or a price trend. It is better approached as a collectible rifle purchase than as an assumed profitable flip.
