M249 | Submerged

M249 | Submerged is a CS2 heavy weapon skin with dark teal bodywork and flowing turquoise camouflage. Sandy brown hardware contrasts with the patterned receiver and stock. The palette suits players building teal loadouts or looking for desert-inspired styling without a predominantly tan finish. Buyers have options from Factory New through Battle-Scarred, including Souvenir copies.

Description

M249 | Submerged gives the CS2 machine gun a cool-colored camouflage finish with restrained sandy accents. The weapon itself suits open areas, combining accuracy and high ammunition capacity with a slower firing pace. Its Custom Paint Job concentrates the decorative detail on the receiver and stock rather than covering every component equally. Lighter turquoise markings create movement across the dark teal panels, while the large brown magazine provides a simpler visual anchor. This combination suits players who prefer flowing camouflage over graphic illustrations or bright lettering. As an entry in The Anubis Collection, it also offers a collection-focused option for an M249 slot. Regular and Souvenir versions let buyers choose between a straightforward playskin and a souvenir-oriented purchase. Before choosing a copy, compare the exterior, exact float value and version rather than relying on the finish name alone.

History and Origin

The finish debuted on April 24, 2023, in the Anubis Skins update. Its release placed the M249 design in The Anubis Collection. Steam Workshop community designer dC created the skin. The design draws on desert camouflage and environmental shapes, translating that inspiration into a teal palette. Current availability includes regular and Souvenir versions. Souvenir copies can be obtained through 4 associated packages. These include the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package and Copenhagen 2024 Anubis Souvenir Package, connecting that version to named tournament packages. Today, buyers can also acquire an existing copy through the Steam Community Market or a player-to-player trade rather than relying on a package opening.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job uses desert-inspired camouflage shapes with a cool teal color scheme. Dark teal covers the receiver and stock, giving the main body a consistent base color. Lighter turquoise bands and patches break up those surfaces with wavy markings. Their layered contours flow across the side panels and continue onto the stock rather than forming isolated graphic symbols. The barrel, muzzle, sights and much of the exposed hardware use muted tan and brown tones. A mostly plain sandy brown box magazine separates the patterned body from the weapon's darker lower grip. That grip returns to dark teal, maintaining a connection with the receiver's base color. The contrast between detailed camouflage and relatively clean, solid-colored components gives the finish its balanced visual character.

Float Value

The M249 | Submerged float range runs from 0.02 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of those wear tiers is excluded. Souvenir versions exist; the version identifies the item type, while exterior and float describe its cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

M249 | Submerged has Consumer Grade rarity within The Anubis Collection. Its stated chance of being received from the collection is 16.0%, which should not be treated as a separate Souvenir package probability. Documented professional owners include device, Snax and kennyS, although ownership alone does not establish broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Teal and turquoise camouflage gives the heavy weapon a distinctive color scheme

• Sandy hardware balances the patterned receiver and stock

• Every exterior tier offers a different condition choice

• Souvenir versions provide a collection-focused alternative

Price Range

The live M249 | Submerged price range is $0.02 to $14.00. Its low price level makes it approachable for a budget M249 loadout. Exterior labels and exact float values help distinguish copies that share the same finish and version. Compare regular and Souvenir listings separately, rather than assuming either version always occupies a particular end of the range. Before deciding where to buy, sell or trade, compare like-for-like listings instead of treating the item-wide range as a quote for every copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open an Anubis Souvenir Package containing The Anubis Collection for a chance at a Souvenir copy. Eligible examples include the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package and Copenhagen 2024 Anubis Souvenir Package. An opening does not guarantee this particular M249 finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing copy on the Steam Community Market by selecting the desired exterior and version. Separate regular copies from Souvenir listings before comparing asking prices. For a condition-focused purchase, check the float alongside the exterior label wherever that information is available.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading offers another route to a regular or Souvenir copy. Check the exact item name, exterior and version against the agreed offer before accepting. Trading for an existing copy avoids relying on a package opening to receive this specific finish.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Consumer Grade rarity and an accessible price level make this more suited to a budget playskin purchase than a scarcity-led trade. Professional ownership adds visibility, but it does not prove strong demand, fast resale or sustained price growth. Resale speed and future demand remain uncertain, so compare regular and Souvenir copies carefully by exterior and float before buying to resell.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Documented ownership by device, Snax and kennyS

• Souvenir availability adds a separate collecting option

• Distinct teal camouflage within The Anubis Collection

• Low entry cost suits budget-focused loadouts

The investment rating is medium-to-poor: accessible pricing and professional ownership provide interest, but Consumer Grade rarity offers a weak scarcity argument. Souvenir availability adds a collecting angle without establishing future appreciation. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, so a purchase should make sense as a loadout choice even without price growth.
