About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Quality, or exterior, describes cosmetic condition, while float records it numerically. Deep Relief spans Factory New through Battle-Scarred across 0.00 to 1.00; inspect the individual copy rather than relying only on its exterior label.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity identifies the skin's grade and helps describe its case availability. M249 | Deep Relief is Mil-Spec Grade and has an 11.42% chance of appearing when opening the Operation Broken Fang Case.

How much does M249 | Deep Relief cost?

M249 | Deep Relief ranges from $0.33 to $30.00. These bounds cover the whole skin; compare the exterior, float and version of each listing.

Which case contains M249 | Deep Relief?

M249 | Deep Relief is available from the Operation Broken Fang Case. No new cases drop, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

Does M249 | Deep Relief have StatTrak or Souvenir versions?

M249 | Deep Relief has both StatTrak and Souvenir versions, alongside standard copies. Version is a separate listing detail from exterior and float.

What exteriors does M249 | Deep Relief come in?

M249 | Deep Relief comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Its float range is 0.00 to 1.00.

Short Description

M249 | Deep Relief is a CS2 Heavy weapon skin with a layered sand-and-green Custom Paint Job. Contour-like rings cover the receiver, box magazine, grip and stock, while the long barrel stays comparatively plain. Its earthy palette suits players who prefer intricate surface artwork over bright colors. It comes in Factory New through Battle-Scarred, with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also available.

Description

M249 | Deep Relief brings a relief-like pattern to the M249 machinegun in CS2. The weapon combines high ammunition capacity and accuracy with a slower fire rate, making it suited to open-area engagements. Its finish uses pale sand patches surrounded by olive and dark green bands, creating the impression of layered surfaces. Much of the artwork sits on the weapon's broad panels, leaving the barrel and exposed framework visually restrained. This balance suits players who want a detailed machinegun without a bright or heavily decorated barrel. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions give buyers different options within the same finish. For an individual copy, the exterior and float value are useful details to compare alongside its inventory appearance. Buying a listed skin or arranging a trade allows selection of a specific copy rather than accepting a random case result.

History and Origin

M249 | Deep Relief was released in CS:GO on December 3, 2020, during the Operation Broken Fang update. It arrived through the Operation Broken Fang Case, which remains its case-opening source. Steam Workshop community designer VisHomin created the finish. The skin belongs to The Operation Broken Fang Collection, sharing its collection identity with that release. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the Operation Broken Fang Case no longer drops, so no new cases enter through that route. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, preserving access to their contents. Finished copies can also be purchased on the Steam Community Market or obtained through player-to-player trades.

Finish Style

Deep Relief uses a Custom Paint Job built around sand, olive and darker green layers. Pale patches occupy the receiver, box magazine, pistol grip and stock rather than forming a single uninterrupted block of color. Irregular nested lines circle these patches, giving the artwork a contour-like structure. Elsewhere, winding bands connect the shapes and make the patterned panels look densely worked. The dark green areas appear recessed beside the lighter sand surfaces, producing the finish's relief-like visual effect. Its layered design suggests an outer sandy surface giving way to deeper green beneath. The barrel, bipod and exposed mechanical parts remain mostly muted dark gray and olive, with little decoration. Those plainer sections provide a visual break from the busy pattern covering the larger panels.

Float Value

M249 | Deep Relief has an exact float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of those exterior categories is excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, but version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition described by the exterior and float.

Rarity and Popularity

M249 | Deep Relief is a Mil-Spec Grade machinegun skin. Its drop chance from the Operation Broken Fang Case is 11.42%, so opening that case offers a chance rather than a selected result. Documented professional owners include FalleN, kennyS and Spiidi, though their ownership does not establish broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Layered sand-and-green artwork with a relief-like appearance

• Detailed panels balanced by a comparatively plain barrel

• Earthy colors suited to restrained loadouts

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir version choices

Price Range

The live M249 | Deep Relief price range is $0.33 to $30.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than any fixed exterior or version. Its accessible price level makes it a modest-cost cosmetic purchase, but individual listings still need comparison. Check the exterior, exact float and whether the item is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir before deciding which listing fits. When comparing CS2 skin prices to buy, sell or trade, use matching item details rather than treating every Deep Relief copy as interchangeable.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Broken Fang Case

Open the Operation Broken Fang Case for an 11.42% chance of obtaining M249 | Deep Relief. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy a finished M249 | Deep Relief directly through a listing on the Steam Community Market. Check the exterior, float and version before choosing a copy, since a direct purchase selects the listed item rather than a random case outcome.

4. Trade with Other Players

M249 | Deep Relief can also be obtained by trading with other players. Confirm the offered item's exterior, float and standard, StatTrak or Souvenir status before accepting, especially when comparing it with another copy.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired case source means no new Operation Broken Fang Cases drop, although existing cases can still generate additional Deep Relief skins when opened. Professional ownership is documented, but market depth and historical price trends are not established. Traders should compare matching exteriors and versions without assuming that reduced case supply automatically creates stronger demand for the skin.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source with no new case drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive layered sand-and-green artwork

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir options

M249 | Deep Relief receives a medium-to-poor investment rating, with its retired case source and professional ownership providing some support. Its accessible price level and 11.42% case chance do not establish strong skin scarcity. The main risk is that shrinking case supply may not translate into stronger demand or higher resale prices.
