M249 | Impact Drill

M249 | Impact Drill is a CS2 heavy machine gun skin with a Solid Color finish. Dark blue-gray bodywork contrasts with orange-yellow front components and a bright ammunition box. Its straightforward, equipment-like appearance suits players who prefer color blocking over detailed artwork. All exteriors are available, alongside Souvenir versions, but there is no StatTrak™ option.

Description

M249 | Impact Drill brings a blue-and-orange finish to the M249, a heavy machine gun available in CS2. The weapon emphasizes accuracy and high ammunition capacity, with a slower fire rate as the trade-off. Its Solid Color treatment separates the gun into clearly defined painted components rather than using an illustrated design. A dark receiver provides the backdrop for the brighter barrel assembly and ammunition box. The visible finish has no artwork or text, keeping attention on the weapon's panels, ribs and mechanical fittings. This look suits utility-themed loadouts and players who want distinct colors without an elaborate graphic motif. The dark gray-brown pistol grip and stock complement the blue-and-orange painted components. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float and regular or Souvenir versions when selecting a copy for their inventory.

History and Origin

M249 | Impact Drill was released on May 26, 2015, with the Operation Bloodhound update. It entered the game as part of The Chop Shop Collection. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. Its accompanying flavor text emphasizes the idea of an equalizing force without describing a detailed fictional backstory. Today, existing copies can be purchased on the Steam Community Market, where buyers can select a specific listing. Player-to-player trading provides another acquisition route when an owner is willing to exchange the item. Current version choices include regular and Souvenir copies, so buyers should distinguish the skin's historic introduction from the particular version being offered.

Finish Style

Impact Drill uses the Solid Color finish style, organizing its palette around separately painted weapon components. The receiver and upper body are dark blue-gray, with matching ribs, panels and mechanical fittings. Orange-yellow coloring covers the barrel, muzzle surround and front sight, making the front assembly visually distinct. The large ammunition box is bright yellow-orange, while its side panel uses a darker orange shade. Smaller orange accents appear on fittings around the receiver, linking the darker body to the brighter components. The pistol grip and stock remain dark gray-brown, keeping those parts visually restrained. With no visible artwork or lettering, the design relies on component placement and color contrast for its identity. The resulting appearance feels practical and equipment-like, particularly for players who favor solid colors over decorative illustrations.

Float Value

M249 | Impact Drill has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00, so buyers can compare exact values across its full condition range. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior missing. Regular and Souvenir versions exist, but there is no StatTrak version; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition represented by float.

Rarity and Popularity

M249 | Impact Drill is a Consumer Grade skin from The Chop Shop Collection. Its collection selection probability is 20.01%, which describes a collection outcome rather than the availability of a particular marketplace listing. Professional owners include bodyy, Skadoodle and CeRq, although those examples alone do not establish how quickly a copy will sell.

Why it’s Popular:

• Dark blue-gray bodywork with contrasting orange-yellow components

• Straightforward styling without visible artwork or lettering

• All exteriors available for different condition preferences

• Souvenir versions offer another collecting option

Price Range

The live M249 | Impact Drill price range is $1.45 to $55.04. These bounds cover the whole skin, not fixed prices for any named exterior or version. Exterior labels provide a condition filter, while exact float values help distinguish copies within the same exterior. Souvenir copies have a higher price profile than regular copies in the available exterior comparisons. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, check the version, exterior, float and inspection image before choosing a listing to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Buy on the Steam Community Market

M249 | Impact Drill can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market by selecting an existing listing. Confirm whether the copy is regular or Souvenir, then check its exterior and exact float. Inspect the visible condition of the blue-gray body and orange-yellow components before choosing a copy.

3. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain the finish through a player-to-player trade when another owner agrees to exchange a copy. Compare the offered version, exterior and float with the item intended for the trade. Confirm those details before accepting, since the finish name alone does not identify condition or version.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Professional ownership provides some evidence of interest, but it does not establish broad demand or predictable selling speed. Supply volume and price direction remain uncertain, limiting confidence in short-term resale prospects. Compare regular and Souvenir copies separately, matching exterior and float before deciding whether to buy, sell or trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive blue-and-orange visual identity

• Souvenir versions broaden collecting options

• Ownership by recognized professional players

• Valve-created finish with an established collection identity

The investment rating is medium-to-poor: professional ownership and Souvenir availability provide interest, but Consumer Grade rarity alone does not establish a strong scarcity case. Higher-priced Souvenir copies need separate assessment rather than being treated as evidence of stronger demand for every version. The main risk is paying for a listing without reliable evidence of buyer demand or a sustained price trend.
