Short Description

Galil AR | Akoben is a CS2 rifle skin with rust-brown stripes sprayed over an off-white base. Its dense, branching pattern suits players who prefer a busy finish with earthy colors and strong contrast. All listed exterior tiers are available, alongside regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

Galil AR | Akoben gives the Terrorist-side rifle a Spray-Paint finish built around pale colors and dark brown markings. The Galil AR itself is a less expensive assault-rifle option suited to medium and long-range combat. Akoben's off-white background makes the irregular stripes stand out across the weapon. The pattern covers much of the rifle rather than appearing as an isolated detail on the receiver. Its earthy palette suits loadouts centered on brown, cream or muted colors. Players can choose an exterior ranging from Factory New to Battle-Scarred without changing the underlying finish design. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir options provide separate version choices for buyers and collectors. When comparing copies, the listing image, exact float value and version are more useful than the skin name alone.

History and Origin

Galil AR | Akoben was released in CS:GO on March 13, 2019. Its arrival accompanied the Prisma Case in the Prisma Case Skins update. The finish was created by Marduk, a Steam Workshop community designer. It belongs to The Prisma Collection, linking the skin's collection identity to its original case release. As of October 9, 2026, the Prisma Case no longer drops. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new case supply through that route. Existing Prisma Cases can still be purchased on the market and opened for a chance at Akoben. Finished copies can also be bought on the Steam Community Market or acquired through trades with other players.

Finish Style

The Akoben finish uses a Spray-Paint treatment, with rust-colored markings layered over an off-white base. Dark brown stripes branch irregularly rather than forming neat, parallel bands. This creates a dense, zebra-like pattern with strong contrast between the pale background and darker lines. The paint extends across the receiver and handguard, connecting the main body visually. The magazine, pistol grip and stock carry the same patterned treatment. Much of the barrel assembly is also covered, making the design visible beyond the rifle's central body. The lines change direction across different parts, giving the finish a busy, uneven rhythm. The trigger and some small mechanical details remain dark gray or black, adding plain accents among the stripes.

Float Value

Galil AR | Akoben has a float range of 0.00 to 0.75. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, covering the full set of exterior labels. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, but version choice is separate from a copy's float value and cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

Galil AR | Akoben is a Mil-Spec Grade rifle skin from The Prisma Collection. Its chance of appearing in a Prisma Case opening is 11.42%, making that route a chance-based acquisition rather than a direct purchase. Documented professional owners include aizy, GeT_RiGhT and mixwell, although ownership alone does not establish market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Rust-brown stripes contrast sharply with the off-white base

• Branching pattern covers much of the rifle

• Exterior options span Factory New through Battle-Scarred

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer different collecting choices

Price Range

The live Galil AR | Akoben CS2 skin price range is $0.18 to $30.00. These bounds cover the whole item and should not be treated as fixed prices for particular variants. Exterior and exact float value help distinguish listings within the same finish. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should also be compared separately when assessing an asking price. Buyers should check listing images alongside those details, while sellers can use comparable copies to evaluate their own listing.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Prisma Case

Open a Prisma Case for a chance to receive Galil AR | Akoben. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Akoben has an 11.42% opening chance, so buying a finished copy avoids uncertainty about the result.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Galil AR | Akoben can be purchased directly on the Steam Community Market. Check the exterior and version attached to each listing before choosing a copy. A direct purchase targets the listed item instead of relying on a Prisma Case opening.

4. Trade with Other Players

Players can acquire Galil AR | Akoben by trading with other players. Confirm the offered copy's exterior, float value and whether it is regular, StatTrak or Souvenir before accepting. Compare the exact item involved rather than judging the exchange from the finish name alone.

Trading and Investment Considerations

No new Prisma Cases enter through drops, while opening existing cases consumes the remaining unopened supply. Professional ownership offers some visibility, but it does not establish trading volume, sustained demand or a reliable price trend. Traders should compare exterior, float and version carefully rather than treating retired case supply as proof that every Akoben copy will appreciate.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Prisma Case drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive rust-brown pattern over an off-white base

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium, balancing retired case supply, an accessible price position and documented professional ownership. The finish has identifiable visual appeal, but those factors do not demonstrate future price growth. The main risk is uncertain future demand, especially when case retirement is mistaken for scarcity of the skin itself.
