Five-SeveN | Buddy

Five-SeveN | Buddy is a CS2 Counter-Terrorist pistol skin with camouflage across the slide and frame. Sandy colors contrast with blue-gray sections, bright yellow accents and a small CT figure near the rear sight. The look suits players who prefer detailed military styling with colorful highlights rather than a completely muted finish. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

Five-SeveN | Buddy applies a Custom Paint Job finish to the Counter-Terrorist Five-SeveN pistol in CS2. Its sandy slide and blue-gray frame create separate color zones, with yellow trim connecting details across the weapon. A small CT character beneath the rear sight gives the camouflage design a recognizable focal point. The protective tone of its flavor text connects that character to the idea of a teammate covering the player's back. The underlying pistol combines accuracy and armor penetration with a 20-round magazine, forgiving recoil and a slow reload. This finish suits camouflage-themed loadouts while offering bright accents for players who want more than subdued military colors. Xyp9x, MSL and xartE are among the professional players who own the skin. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value and version to select a copy that matches their preferred condition and collecting goals.

History and Origin

Five-SeveN | Buddy was released on October 18, 2019, alongside the CS20 Case. Its introduction came through the CS20 Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer Freddy created the finish, combining camouflage with a small Counter-Terrorist character. The skin belongs to The CS20 Collection, which also defines its supported trade-up route. That collection allows eligible Mil-Spec Grade inputs to produce a random Restricted result, potentially including Buddy. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the CS20 Case no longer receives new drops. Existing CS20 Cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so the case-opening route remains available despite that retirement. Today, direct marketplace purchases and player-to-player trades also offer ways to obtain an existing copy without relying on a random result.

Finish Style

Buddy uses the Custom Paint Job finish style, with painted camouflage spread across the pistol's slide and frame. Tan, sandy yellow and brown cover the slide, giving its upper section a desert-colored appearance. Dark recessed grooves along the slide interrupt the camouflage and emphasize the shape of its sides. The frame and trigger guard use blue-gray camouflage, creating a cooler contrast beneath the sandy upper section. The barrel area below the slide is mostly dark, separating it visually from the patterned surfaces around it. Bright yellow accents outline the textured black grip and highlight the lower front rail and smaller frame details. Near the rear of the slide, the CT figure sits beside a white "16" marking and fine white lettering. The plain dark grip provides a quieter area within an otherwise busy design, balancing the camouflage and scattered bright accents.

Float Value

Five-SeveN | Buddy has a float value range of 0.00 to 0.55. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with none of those exterior categories missing. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available; those version labels are separate from the exterior condition and should be checked independently.

Rarity and Popularity

Five-SeveN | Buddy is a Restricted skin from The CS20 Collection. Its stated chance from a CS20 Case opening is 3.2%, so opening the correct case does not guarantee this particular finish. Although the case no longer drops, existing cases can still be opened and existing skins can still be purchased or traded.

Why it’s Popular:

• Sandy and blue-gray camouflage creates a distinctive split palette

• Small CT character adds personality near the rear sight

• Bright yellow accents contrast with the dark textured grip

• StatTrak and Souvenir options suit different collecting preferences

Price Range

The live Five-SeveN | Buddy price range is $0.45 to $13.13. Those bounds cover the whole skin, not fixed prices for any named exterior or version. Compare the exterior and exact float value, then check whether a listing is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir. Copies within an exterior can have different float values, so the detailed listing provides more information than the condition label alone. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match the condition and version being considered before choosing which copy to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the CS20 Case

Open the CS20 Case for a chance to receive Five-SeveN | Buddy, with a stated probability of 3.2%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This route produces a random result rather than a guaranteed Buddy.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can use 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The CS20 Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Five-SeveN | Buddy is a possible result, not a guaranteed outcome. The result is random among the collection's Restricted skins, so the contract should not be treated as a direct purchase.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Five-SeveN | Buddy can be bought through listings on the Steam Community Market. Match the listing's exterior, float value and version to the desired copy. Buying a listed skin avoids the random outcome of case openings and trade-up contracts.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades provide a route to exchange owned skins for Five-SeveN | Buddy. Confirm the offered copy's exterior, float value and version before agreeing, particularly when comparing standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired case drops restrict replenishment of unopened CS20 Cases, but existing cases and trade-up contracts can still introduce more Buddy skins. Xyp9x, MSL and xartE own the skin, but ownership alone does not establish buying demand. Buy, sell and trade decisions should compare exterior, exact float and version, since professional ownership alone does not establish resale speed or a price trend.

Reasons it Holds Value

• CS20 Case no longer receives new drops

• Restricted rarity within the CS20 Case

• Documented ownership by Xyp9x, MSL and xartE

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer distinct collecting options

The investment rating is medium, balancing a low-priced entry point and retired case drops against continuing skin supply from openings and trade-up contracts. Restricted rarity and documented professional ownership add context, but neither establishes future price growth. The main risk is treating a retired case as a permanently fixed supply of skins when demand and resale performance remain uncertain.
