UMP-45 | Primal Saber

UMP-45 | Primal Saber is a CS2 SMG skin featuring a sabertooth tiger skull over a dark gray base. Bright turquoise stripes frame the pale skull artwork. Its animal-themed design suits players who prefer detailed weapon art with contrasting colors. Factory New through Battle-Scarred exteriors are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

The UMP-45 | Primal Saber uses a Custom Paint Job to give this close-quarters SMG a distinctive, predator-themed appearance. The weapon itself is a versatile automatic with a small magazine, while the finish provides its visual identity. A pale skull dominates the receiver, standing out against dark gray surfaces and bright turquoise markings. Comparatively plain hardware around the stock and forward grip keeps the central illustration visually prominent. This combination suits loadouts built around gray and turquoise, or players who favor illustrated designs over simple color treatments. Professional players coldzera, s1mple, and tarik are known to own the skin, although ownership alone does not establish market demand. Regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions give buyers different item types to consider before selecting an exterior. Players looking to buy, sell, or trade it can compare the exact float, version, and inspect image rather than the skin name alone.

History and Origin

UMP-45 | Primal Saber was released in CS:GO on April 27, 2016, alongside the Chroma 3 Case. Its introduction formed part of the Chroma 3 Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer ClegFX created the finish, giving it a community-designed origin. The skin belongs to The Chroma 3 Collection, which also determines its eligible collection-based trade-up route. Its flavor text connects the skull illustration with the idea that predators eventually meet their end. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Chroma 3 Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, separating current opening availability from the retired drop source. Direct purchases, player trades, and eligible Trade Up Contracts remain alternative ways to obtain the skin today.

Finish Style

Primal Saber is a Custom Paint Job centered on a large sabertooth tiger skull decal across the receiver. The ivory-gray skull has dark eye sockets, with long fangs extending downward toward the magazine. Bright turquoise stripes and irregular slashes cross the front and rear sections of the dark gray body. These markings surround the skull without replacing it as the main visual feature. The magazine and pistol grip stay mostly dark gray, interrupted by pale streaks and angular light accents. Gray and black dominate the barrel, vertical foregrip, and open-frame stock, with lighter edges and fittings adding definition. The receiver carries the busiest artwork, while the stock and forward grip remain comparatively restrained. Together, the pale bone-like imagery, saturated turquoise, and dark hardware give the finish a sharp contrast between illustration and mechanical parts.

Float Value

The UMP-45 | Primal Saber has an exact float value range of 0.00 to 0.77. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior category is missing. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, but version availability should be checked separately from the cosmetic condition of an individual listing.

Rarity and Popularity

UMP-45 | Primal Saber has the Classified rarity grade, which is separate from its float value and exterior. Its chance from the Chroma 3 Case is 1.07%, making a specific result uncertain when opening a case. Although that case no longer drops, existing cases can still be opened, and the skin remains obtainable through purchases, trades, and eligible trade-ups.

Why it’s Popular:

• Large sabertooth skull gives the receiver a distinctive focal point

• Turquoise accents contrast clearly with dark gray hardware

• Detailed body artwork balances comparatively plain stock and grip sections

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer different collecting options

Price Range

The live UMP-45 | Primal Saber price range is $9.69 to $29.52. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. Compare each listing's exterior and exact float, then distinguish regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies. A version label alone should not be treated as proof of a higher price; the actual asking price still needs checking. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match those item details and inspect the appearance before choosing a copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Chroma 3 Case

Open an existing Chroma 3 Case for a chance at Primal Saber, with a stated probability of 1.07%. The case no longer drops, but remaining cases can still be purchased on the market and opened. Opening cannot select this specific finish, so buying a listed copy avoids uncertainty over the result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Restricted skins from The Chroma 3 Collection produces 1 Classified skin from that collection. Primal Saber is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Classified skins. This route does not allow the resulting finish to be selected in advance.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy UMP-45 | Primal Saber through a listing on the Steam Community Market. Check the offered exterior and version, then review any available item details before choosing a listing rather than relying on the name alone.

5. Trade with Other Players

The skin can also be obtained through a trade with another player. Confirm that the offered item has the intended exterior, float value, and regular, StatTrak, or Souvenir version before accepting the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Chroma 3 Case has no new drops, while existing cases and listed Primal Saber copies remain available. For practical trading comparisons, separate regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings, then match exterior and exact float before judging an asking price. Short-term resale demand remains uncertain, and trade-up availability means retired cases do not make the skin's total supply fixed.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired Chroma 3 Case supply

• Distinctive turquoise stripes and sabertooth skull artwork

• Ownership by coldzera, s1mple, and tarik

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by retired case supply, distinctive artwork, and ownership by professional players. The main risk is uncertain resale demand while Trade Up Contracts can still create copies, so those positives should not be taken as evidence of future price gains.
