About this skin
How is a skin affected by its quality?
Quality describes the exterior condition associated with a skin's float value. UMP-45 | Grand Prix only comes in Field-Tested, with floats from 0.25 to 0.35; its version does not change that exterior availability.
How does the rarity of a skin work?
Rarity is a skin's assigned grade and helps describe its case-opening availability. Grand Prix is Restricted, with a 4.0% chance from the Chroma 2 Case, about 1 in 25 drops.
How much does UMP-45 | Grand Prix cost?
UMP-45 | Grand Prix ranges from $1.08 to $30.00. The bounds cover all versions, so compare individual listings by version and float.
What exteriors and floats does UMP-45 | Grand Prix have?
UMP-45 | Grand Prix is available only in Field-Tested, with a float range of 0.25 to 0.35. No other exterior grades are available.
Which case contains UMP-45 | Grand Prix?
UMP-45 | Grand Prix comes from the Chroma 2 Case and belongs to The Chroma 2 Collection. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought and opened.
Does UMP-45 | Grand Prix have StatTrak and Souvenir versions?
Yes, UMP-45 | Grand Prix has both StatTrak and Souvenir versions, alongside standard copies. All versions are limited to the Field-Tested exterior.
Short Description
UMP-45 | Grand Prix is a CS2 SMG skin with an old-fashioned racing theme. Muted tan bodywork, red stripes, and a black race number give the weapon a vintage motorsport look. Its restrained colors suit players who want decorative artwork without a brightly colored weapon. It comes only in Field-Tested, with standard, StatTrak™, and Souvenir versions available.
Description
UMP-45 | Grand Prix gives the UMP-45 a racing-inspired finish built around painted body panels and contrasting dark hardware. The weapon is a close-quarters automatic SMG, with a small magazine noted as its main limitation. Grand Prix uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, while its artwork draws on an old-fashioned racing motif. A numbered side panel provides a clear focal point, rather than spreading equally detailed artwork across every component. The muted palette suits players who favor vintage styling and a relatively understated loadout. Its available exterior is limited to Field-Tested, making version and exact float useful listing details to compare. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies give buyers options beyond the finish itself. For a direct purchase or trade, checking those labels helps distinguish otherwise similarly named copies.
History and Origin
UMP-45 | Grand Prix was released in CS:GO on April 15, 2015, alongside the Chroma 2 Case. Its introduction was part of the Chroma 2 Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer kf.hammond created the finish. The skin belongs to The Chroma 2 Collection, linking its collection identity to its original case release. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the Chroma 2 Case no longer drops, so no new cases enter circulation through that route. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened, keeping the original acquisition route available. Players can also obtain existing copies directly through marketplace purchases or trades rather than opening a case.
Finish Style
The finish concentrates its racing artwork on the receiver and front housing. These sections use a muted tan base that contrasts with the mostly dark surrounding components. Red racing stripes near the muzzle introduce a brighter accent without covering the entire weapon. A large black 36 appears on a pale rectangular panel along the receiver's side. Small dark markings and scattered chipped-looking patches interrupt the tan paint, adding texture to the bodywork. The barrel, vertical foregrip, pistol grip, long magazine, and open-frame stock remain mostly dark gray or black. This distribution keeps the numbered panel and front stripes visually prominent while leaving the supporting parts relatively plain. Classified as Anodized Multicolored, Grand Prix combines that finish style with painted details recalling an older racing vehicle.
Float Value
UMP-45 | Grand Prix has a float range of 0.25 to 0.35. Field-Tested is its only exterior; no other exterior grades are available. StatTrak and Souvenir versions exist, but these version labels are separate from cosmetic condition and do not add other exteriors.
Rarity and Popularity
UMP-45 | Grand Prix has the Restricted rarity grade. Its chance from the Chroma 2 Case is 4.0%, or about 1 in 25 drops. Professional players apEX, tarik, and n0thing own the skin, although ownership alone does not establish market demand.
Why it’s Popular:
• Vintage racing artwork with a clearly visible side number
• Muted tan paint balanced by red stripes and dark hardware
• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir options
• Accessible pricing for a Restricted SMG finish
Price Range
The live UMP-45 | Grand Prix price range is $1.08 to $30.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a particular version. All copies are Field-Tested, so buyers should compare exact floats within the 0.25 to 0.35 range. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings should be checked separately before comparing asking prices. When deciding whether to buy, sell, or trade, match the version and float to the individual listing rather than relying on the overall range.
How to Obtain
1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins
One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.
2. Open the Chroma 2 Case
Existing Chroma 2 Cases can still be bought on the market and opened, although new cases no longer drop. Grand Prix has a 4.0% chance from this case, about 1 in 25 drops. Opening remains a chance-based route rather than a way to select this specific finish.
3. Trade Up Contracts
A Trade Up Contract uses 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Chroma 2 Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Grand Prix is a possible result, but selection is random among the collection's Restricted skins. The contract therefore offers a route to the finish without guaranteeing it.
4. Buy on the Steam Community Market
Players can buy UMP-45 | Grand Prix directly on the Steam Community Market rather than pursuing a random case result. Check the item label to identify the version and inspect available listing details before choosing a copy.
5. Trade with Other Players
Grand Prix can also be obtained by trading with other players. Confirm the offered copy's float, Field-Tested exterior, and standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir designation before accepting the exchange.
Trading and Investment Considerations
Retirement limits new Chroma 2 Case supply, but existing case openings and trade-up contracts can still produce Grand Prix copies. Professional ownership provides visibility without proving trading volume, resale speed, or a rising price trend. Traders should compare versions and exact floats, since every available copy shares the Field-Tested exterior.
Reasons it Holds Value
• Retired case supply limits new case availability
• Accessible entry price for a Restricted SMG
• Distinctive racing artwork and numbered side panel
• Ownership by apEX, tarik, and n0thing
• StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer additional buyer choices
The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by retired case supply, an accessible price level, and professional ownership. The main risk is uncertain resale demand: those factors do not establish how quickly a copy will sell or whether its price will rise.
