SSG 08 | Green Ceramic

The SSG 08 | Green Ceramic is a CS2 skin for the bolt-action sniper rifle, finished in muted shades of green. Broad olive panels contrast with darker green sections and gray mechanical parts. Its restrained appearance suits players building an olive-and-gray loadout without illustrated artwork. All exterior categories are available, alongside standard and Souvenir versions.

Description

The SSG 08 | Green Ceramic gives this CS2 sniper rifle a coordinated green finish with an emphasis on solid color rather than decoration. The weapon itself combines modest damage with economical long-range utility, making it suited to early-round marksmanship. Broad painted panels keep the rifle's shape prominent instead of covering it with a detailed graphic. Green and gray components create a consistent palette across the body, scope and stock. The look suits players who prefer understated equipment with clearly visible mechanical details. Souvenir availability adds a separate version choice for buyers interested in more than a standard play skin. The full exterior range allows comparisons between different condition categories without changing the underlying design. Buyers should inspect each listing's float, exterior and version, rather than treating every Green Ceramic copy as an interchangeable purchase.

History and Origin

The SSG 08 | Green Ceramic was released on March 31, 2025. It arrived through the "Spring 2025 Skins" update, establishing its origin as a CS2-era addition. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The skin was released as part of The Boreal Collection. Its current version options include standard and Souvenir copies, with no StatTrak edition. Today, individual copies can be purchased on the Steam Community Market without relying on the circumstances of the original release. Trading with other players is another supported way to acquire an existing copy. The finish's in-game flavor text is "You are what you eat".

Finish Style

Green Ceramic uses the Solid Color finish style, with its visual identity coming from differently colored surfaces rather than a repeating illustrated pattern. Muted olive and darker forest green cover the receiver and fore-end in broad, mostly uninterrupted panels. The scope uses pale olive coloring, dark adjustment details and green mounting brackets that connect it visually to the rifle body. A dark gray barrel and slotted muzzle brake extend beyond the green sections, giving the front end a contrasting mechanical appearance. The folded bipod combines green sections with gray fittings instead of following a single uniform color. At the rear, the gray-green grip and stock sit alongside a dark skeletal support and a ribbed butt pad. Small screws, slots and other mechanical details interrupt the otherwise clean painted surfaces. No artwork or lettering is visible, keeping the finish focused on its muted palette and the weapon's construction.

Float Value

The SSG 08 | Green Ceramic has a float range of 0.00 to 0.75. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of those condition categories is missing. Standard and Souvenir versions are available; version availability is separate from the float and exterior of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

The SSG 08 | Green Ceramic is a Consumer Grade skin from The Boreal Collection. Its stated chance within that collection is 6.67%, or about 1 in 15. Professional owners include Snax, jdm64 and Dosia, although their ownership alone does not establish sustained market demand or predictable resale performance.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted olive and forest green suit coordinated loadouts

• Solid panels keep the rifle's mechanical details visible

• Souvenir availability adds another collecting option

• Full exterior range gives buyers varied condition choices

Price Range

The live SSG 08 | Green Ceramic price range is $0.01 to $9.98. These bounds cover the whole skin and should not be treated as prices for particular exteriors or versions. Standard copies occupy a low-price segment, while listed Souvenir copies sit at a higher price level. Exterior and float help distinguish individual listings, but neither should replace checking the actual asking price. Compare the version, condition and item details together when deciding which copy to buy or how to price one for sale.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The SSG 08 | Green Ceramic can be bought as an individual item on the Steam Community Market. Check whether the listing is standard or Souvenir, then confirm its exterior and inspect any available float information. Buying a specific listing allows the choice to center on that copy rather than an uncertain collection outcome.

3. Trade with Other Players

Green Ceramic can also be obtained by trading with another player who owns a copy. Confirm the offered item's version, exterior and float before agreeing to the exchange. Compare its current asking-price context with the items being offered, especially when considering a Souvenir copy.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Standard Green Ceramic copies are inexpensive play-skin options, while Souvenir copies represent a separate price-level decision. Supply trends and sustained buying demand are not established, so professional ownership should not be treated as evidence of easy resale. Compare matching versions and exteriors when evaluating a trade, rather than assuming every copy shares the same CS2 skin price or buyer interest.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Low-cost standard copies offer an accessible entry point

• Souvenir availability adds a distinct collecting option

• Owned by Snax, jdm64 and Dosia

• Muted green styling suits coordinated loadouts

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by inexpensive standard copies, Souvenir availability and professional ownership rather than a demonstrated scarcity trend. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, particularly when paying extra for a Souvenir copy, so neither price growth nor a quick sale should be assumed.
