SSG 08 | Bloodshot

SSG 08 | Bloodshot is a CS2 sniper rifle skin with a colorful, creature-themed Custom Paint Job. A tooth-filled mouth, curling tongue, tentacles and a single eyeball dominate its illustrated body. The look suits players who prefer bold monster artwork over restrained weapon finishes. It comes in Minimal Wear through Battle-Scarred, with standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

SSG 08 | Bloodshot gives the SSG 08 bolt-action sniper rifle a densely illustrated creature design in CS2. The weapon offers an economical option for early-round long-range shooting, although its damage is comparatively modest. Its Custom Paint Job makes a large red mouth the visual centerpiece, surrounded by colorful anatomical details. Dark sections on the scope and receiver provide contrast without competing with the illustrated body. The stock extends the creature theme through green, yellow, red and pale gray accents. This finish suits players building a colorful loadout or seeking artwork with a deliberately unsettling character. Buyers can choose between standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions according to their preferred item type. Comparing the exterior, exact float value and individual item image helps distinguish copies beyond the shared Bloodshot name.

History and Origin

SSG 08 | Bloodshot was released on November 18, 2019, with the Operation Shattered Web update. The Shattered Web Case was its original case source, connecting the skin to that release. EGO DEATH created the finish as a Steam Workshop community designer. It belongs to The Shattered Web Collection, which also governs its collection-specific trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops for the Shattered Web Case. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, so retirement did not remove that acquisition method. Trade-up contracts offer a separate chance to obtain the skin using eligible items from its collection. Today, finished copies can also be acquired on the Steam Community Market or through trades with other players.

Finish Style

Bloodshot uses a Custom Paint Job to depict a monster across the rifle rather than a simple repeating surface texture. The barrel and forward section are mainly red, interrupted by irregular dark patches. The muzzle, scope and much of the receiver remain dark gray or black, creating quieter areas around the artwork. A large red mouth covers the central body, with pointed white teeth framing a curling pink tongue. Green and yellow tentacles spread across the upper body and stock, accompanied by a single eyeball and black outlines. Bright yellow-orange sections mark the grip, adding another concentrated patch of color beneath the creature illustration. The rear stock mixes pale gray with yellow, green and red details, carrying the busy composition toward the rifle's back end. Dense illustration around the body and stock contrasts with the plainer scope and barrel, giving the finish its distinctive visual balance.

Float Value

SSG 08 | Bloodshot has a float range of 0.14 to 0.60, defining the available span of exterior condition. Its exteriors are Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions exist, but version availability is separate from the float value and cosmetic condition of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

SSG 08 | Bloodshot has Classified rarity, making its grade an important consideration when choosing between direct purchase and random acquisition. Its chance from a Shattered Web Case opening is 1.07%, so opening a case does not reliably produce this particular finish. Professional players dupreeh, Spiidi and Skadoodle own the skin, providing concrete examples of ownership without establishing future market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Distinctive monster artwork with teeth, tentacles and a single eyeball

• Bright body colors contrast with a dark scope and receiver

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir options accommodate different collecting preferences

• Named professional owners include dupreeh, Spiidi and Skadoodle

Price Range

The live SSG 08 | Bloodshot price range is $16.14 to $1,000.00. These bounds cover the whole skin and should not be treated as fixed prices for a particular exterior or version. Compare Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred listings separately, checking the exact float rather than relying only on the exterior label. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies are distinct buying options, so confirm which version each listing offers. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match item details and inspect the pictured finish before choosing what to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Shattered Web Case

Open the Shattered Web Case for a chance to receive Bloodshot, with a supported outcome probability of 1.07%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This route produces a random result rather than a selected skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can exchange 10 Restricted skins from The Shattered Web Collection for 1 Classified skin from that collection. Bloodshot is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Classified skins. The contract therefore provides another acquisition route without guaranteeing this finish.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy SSG 08 | Bloodshot on the Steam Community Market to select an existing copy instead of relying on a random result. Compare its exterior, version and condition details before deciding whether the listing matches the intended purchase.

5. Trade with Other Players

Bloodshot can also be acquired by exchanging items with another player through a player-to-player trade. Confirm the offered copy's exterior, float value and standard, StatTrak or Souvenir status before agreeing to the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retirement removes new Shattered Web Case drops, but existing cases and trade-up contracts can still produce Bloodshot copies. Named professional ownership is documented, while future buyer demand and price direction remain uncertain. Before deciding to buy, sell or trade, compare matching exteriors and versions rather than treating the whole-skin price range as an individual valuation.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source limits new case supply

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive creature artwork gives the finish a clear identity

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden its collecting appeal

The editorial investment rating is medium, balancing the retired case source and documented professional ownership against uncertain future demand. Existing cases and trade-up contracts can still add copies, so case retirement alone does not establish that the skin's supply is fixed. The main risk is paying for expected appreciation that buyer interest may not support.
