Sawed-Off | Highwayman

Sawed-Off | Highwayman is a CS2 shotgun skin with black-and-gold decoration centered on the receiver. Fine scotch thistle artwork contrasts with brown wooden furniture and dark metal barrels. Its ornamental style suits players who prefer traditional engraving and restrained colors. All exteriors are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

Sawed-Off | Highwayman gives the Terrorist-side Sawed-Off shotgun an ornamental finish in CS2. Its Patina treatment combines black-and-gold lacquer with fine scotch thistle decoration on the receiver. Brown wood and dark barrel surfaces keep the detailing concentrated rather than spreading it across the entire weapon. The Sawed-Off delivers heavy close-range damage, balanced by limited accuracy, wide spread, and a slow firing rate. Highwayman's appearance suits players building a loadout around warm wood tones, dark metal, or gold accents. Its curling botanical details give the weapon a decorative character without replacing the visible wood-grain texture. Buyers can choose from the full exterior range, with standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir options offering different versions of the same finish. When comparing copies to buy, sell, or trade, the exterior, exact float value, and version deserve separate attention.

History and Origin

Sawed-Off | Highwayman debuted in CS:GO on November 11, 2014, with the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case during the Operation Vanguard update. Steam Workshop community designer Coridium created the skin, giving its decorative finish a named community origin. It belongs to The Vanguard Collection, which also provides its collection-based trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops of the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case. As of October 9, 2026, the case remained outside the drop pool, separating its historical release from current availability. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened for a chance at the skin. Trade-up contracts provide another acquisition route through eligible skins from The Vanguard Collection. Buyers seeking an existing copy can instead use the Steam Community Market or trade with other players.

Finish Style

Highwayman uses a Patina finish built around black-and-gold lacquer and a scotch thistle motif. Fine gold botanical artwork stands out against the receiver's black surface. Curling stems link the decorative elements, while ornamental edging frames the central design. Gold accents also trace the rear of the receiver and parts of the trigger guard. The barrel and lower tube remain dark gray-black, showing subtle metallic highlights rather than dense decoration. Brown wood-grain texture covers the fore-end and short stock, contrasting with the lacquered metal. A row of dark grooves adds definition to the fore-end's wooden surface. Most ornament stays on the receiver, making the thistle artwork the visual focus of the shotgun. This arrangement suits players who want decorative metalwork while keeping the surrounding weapon parts relatively plain.

Float Value

Sawed-Off | Highwayman has a float value range of 0.00 to 1.00, covering the full span of available exterior conditions. It comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, but version selection is separate from the exterior and exact float of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

Sawed-Off | Highwayman is a Restricted skin from The Vanguard Collection. Its chance from the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case is 4.0%, or about 1 in 25 openings, so opening a case does not guarantee this result. Professional players FalleN, ScreaM, and AcilioN have owned the skin, although ownership alone does not establish broad market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Fine gold thistle artwork against a black receiver

• Brown wood furniture balances the ornamental metalwork

• All exteriors available for different condition preferences

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions offer collecting options

Price Range

The live Sawed-Off | Highwayman price range is $1.09 to $47.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. Individual listings differ by exterior, exact float value, and whether they are standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir copies. Buyers can inspect the pictured receiver decoration and wooden furniture alongside those listing details before choosing a copy. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match the version and exterior first, then consider the float and asking price.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case

Open an existing Operation Vanguard Weapon Case for a chance at Highwayman. The case no longer drops, but market copies can still be bought and opened. The skin's opening chance is 4.0%, so this route does not guarantee the desired result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A trade-up contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Vanguard Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Highwayman is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing Sawed-Off | Highwayman listing on the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a random result. Check the exterior and whether the listing is a standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir version before choosing a copy.

5. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player who owns Sawed-Off | Highwayman to acquire an existing copy. Confirm the offered skin's version, exterior, and exact float value before agreeing to the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired case leaves a finite supply of unopened cases, while openings and trade-ups can still add finished skins. Professional ownership offers evidence of use, but it does not establish broad demand or a reliable price trend. Compare standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies separately when deciding whether to buy, sell, or trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case supply limits new case availability

• Distinctive black-and-gold thistle decoration

• Ownership by FalleN, ScreaM, and AcilioN

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir collecting options

The investment outlook is medium: retired case supply and professional ownership offer support, while the current price level remains accessible. The main risk is uncertain future demand, and openings and trade-ups can still increase finished-skin supply without establishing future price appreciation.
