Short Description

P2000 | Obsidian is a CS2 pistol skin for the Counter-Terrorist P2000, styled around lava cooling into dark volcanic glass. Charcoal gray, black, and bright red bands cover most of the weapon. Its busy, high-contrast look suits players building a red-and-black loadout. All exterior grades are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

P2000 | Obsidian turns the P2000 into a lava-themed pistol through a Custom Paint Job. The weapon itself is a German-made Counter-Terrorist sidearm with controllable handling and accurate shooting. Its first-round role is particularly suited to facing opponents without armor. The artwork emphasizes flowing red bands separated by dark areas that suggest cooling material. Strong red accents around the rear and upper grip draw attention away from the mostly gray muzzle. This makes the finish a fitting choice for players who prefer patterned surfaces over understated decoration. Buyers can choose a regular copy, a StatTrak version, or a Souvenir version according to their collecting preferences. Exterior and float comparisons help narrow that choice without confusing the skin's appearance with its version.

History and Origin

P2000 | Obsidian entered CS:GO on November 18, 2019, with the Operation Shattered Web update. Its release came through the Shattered Web Case, which remains its case-opening source. Steam Workshop community designer Puffin created the finish. The skin belongs to The Shattered Web Collection, linking it to that collection's trade-up route. Collection-based contracts offer a random Restricted result rather than guaranteeing this particular pistol. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Shattered Web Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so retirement did not remove the opening route. Today, direct marketplace purchases and player trades also let buyers obtain a specific copy without a randomized result.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job depicts lava settling into dark, solidified material across the pistol. Its palette combines charcoal gray and black with bright red running through the design. Broad, irregular bands curl over the slide and frame instead of following a uniform geometric pattern. Dark patches interrupt those bands, reinforcing the contrast between flowing lava and cooled surfaces. The strongest red appears toward the rear of the weapon and around the upper grip. The front slide and muzzle face remain mostly gray, with dark diagonal streaks continuing along the slide. Layered red-and-gray waves sit beneath a black grid-like texture on the grip. The darker trigger and trigger guard retain red accents, leaving little unpatterned space across the overall finish.

Float Value

P2000 | Obsidian has a float value range of 0.00 to 1.00. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior grade excluded. Regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions are available, while float and exterior describe cosmetic condition separately from those version labels.

Rarity and Popularity

P2000 | Obsidian has the Restricted rarity grade. Its stated chance from the Shattered Web Case is 3.2%, so an opening is not a dependable way to select this specific finish. Professional players jackasmo, saffee, and syrsoN have owned the skin, providing documented professional ownership without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Flowing lava bands create a distinctive red-and-black look

• Detailed artwork extends across the slide, frame, and grip

• Every exterior grade offers a different condition choice

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions expand collecting options

Price Range

The live P2000 | Obsidian price range is $1.49 to $35.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than fixed prices for named exteriors or versions. Compare each listing's exact float value and exterior, then check whether it is a regular, StatTrak, or Souvenir copy. When evaluating a CS2 skin price before buying or selling, compare matching variants instead of treating every Obsidian listing as interchangeable.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Shattered Web Case

Open the Shattered Web Case for a chance to receive this Restricted pistol skin, with a stated Obsidian chance of 3.2%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can exchange 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Shattered Web Collection for 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Obsidian is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy P2000 | Obsidian directly on the Steam Community Market to select a listed copy rather than rely on a randomized outcome. Check the exterior, float value, and version before deciding whether a listing matches the intended purchase.

5. Trade with Other Players

Obtain the finish through a player-to-player trade by agreeing on an exchange with another owner. Compare the offered copy's exterior, float, and version with the item being sought before accepting the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Shattered Web Case receives no new drops, limiting fresh case supply while existing cases and trade-up contracts can still produce more skins. Documented professional ownership offers visibility, but it does not establish sustained resale demand or a reliable price trend. Buyers looking to buy, sell, or trade should compare matching exterior and version combinations.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source case receives no new drops

• Distinctive lava-inspired Custom Paint Job

• Documented ownership by professional players

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by retired case supply, distinctive artwork, and documented professional ownership. The main risk is that existing cases and trade-up contracts can add copies while sustained demand and future price growth remain uncertain.
