About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Exterior quality affects a skin's cosmetic appearance rather than the weapon's performance. Quicksilver is available from Factory New through Battle-Scarred; check the individual copy's image and float value to assess its appearance.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity identifies a skin's grade and helps distinguish its acquisition odds. Quicksilver is Mil-Spec Grade, with a stated 15.98% chance from a Chroma Case opening.

How much does XM1014 | Quicksilver cost?

XM1014 | Quicksilver ranges from $0.33 to $20.00. These bounds cover the whole skin; compare each listing's exterior, float and version.

What is the float range of XM1014 | Quicksilver?

XM1014 | Quicksilver has a float range of 0.00 to 0.50. It comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Which case contains XM1014 | Quicksilver?

The Chroma Case contains XM1014 | Quicksilver. It no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

Does XM1014 | Quicksilver have StatTrak™ or Souvenir versions?

Yes, XM1014 | Quicksilver has both StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions. Check the version label separately from the exterior and float when comparing listings.

Short Description

XM1014 | Quicksilver is a CS2 skin for the fully automatic XM1014 shotgun. Metallic silver, dark blue-gray shading and terrain-map details give it a restrained, technical appearance suited to muted loadouts. It comes in Factory New through Battle-Scarred, with standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

XM1014 | Quicksilver gives the CS2 shotgun a metallic finish centered on a terrain-map motif. The weapon belongs to the Heavy category and uses a fully automatic firing action. Its patterned receiver and forward tube contrast with the relatively plain barrel, stock and fore-end. Pale shapes and fine contour-like lines add detail without covering every part of the weapon. The silver and blue-gray palette suits players who prefer subdued equipment rather than bright, multicolored finishes. A textured, light-colored pistol grip provides another contrast against the darker furniture. Buyers can choose among its available exteriors and versions rather than treating every Quicksilver listing as interchangeable. When comparing copies, the exterior label, exact float value and item image provide useful details beyond the skin's name.

History and Origin

XM1014 | Quicksilver was released on January 8, 2015. It arrived with the Chroma Case in the Chroma Case Skins update. Algis, a Steam Workshop community designer, created the skin. Its collection affiliation is The Chroma Collection, which identifies the broader group it belongs to. Valve retired the rare case drop pool on December 17, 2025. The Chroma Case no longer drops, so new cases do not replenish its supply through that route. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened for a chance at Quicksilver. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing skin directly through marketplace listings or trades with other players.

Finish Style

Quicksilver uses the Patina finish style, with a subdued metallic character rather than a bright painted appearance. Its terrain-map motif comes from a translucent hydrographic treatment layered over a silver metallic base. The receiver combines metallic silver with dark blue-gray areas that frame the irregular pattern. The lower forward tube carries the same visual treatment, extending the map-like detail toward the front. Pale gray shapes and thin contour-like lines create the finish's distinctive surface detail. The long upper barrel stays mostly dark, with a narrow blue edge highlight and small yellow markings near the sights. Dark gray coloring keeps the ribbed fore-end and skeletal stock relatively plain. The textured pistol grip is light silver-gray, balancing the darker parts while the main pattern remains concentrated on the receiver and forward tube.

Float Value

XM1014 | Quicksilver has a float range of 0.00 to 0.50. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also exist, but version availability should be considered separately from the cosmetic condition of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

XM1014 | Quicksilver is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Chroma Collection. Its stated chance of appearing from a Chroma Case opening is 15.98%, so opening a case does not guarantee this specific finish. Professional players Happy, tarik and ScreaM are known to own it, although ownership alone does not establish current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Metallic silver and blue-gray colors suit muted loadouts

• Terrain-map details give the receiver a distinctive appearance

• Plain dark furniture balances the patterned metal

• StatTrak™ and Souvenir options offer different collecting choices

Price Range

The live XM1014 | Quicksilver price range is $0.33 to $20.00. These bounds cover the skin as a whole, not a fixed exterior or version. Its low price level makes it an accessible option for a budget-conscious shotgun loadout. Compare the exact float, exterior and standard, StatTrak or Souvenir designation when evaluating individual listings. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match those details before deciding which copy to buy or sell.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Chroma Case

Open a Chroma Case for a chance at XM1014 | Quicksilver, with a stated item chance of 15.98%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing XM1014 | Quicksilver directly through the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case result. Check the listing's exterior and version, and compare its float when that information is available.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player who owns XM1014 | Quicksilver to obtain a specific existing copy. Confirm the exterior, float and version before accepting, particularly when seeking a StatTrak or Souvenir item.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Chroma Case limits new case supply, but remaining cases can still produce additional Quicksilver skins. Professional ownership provides some visibility, without proving sustained buying demand or a reliable price trend. Buyers and sellers should compare equivalent exteriors and versions rather than assuming every listing represents the same trading opportunity.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired Chroma Case limits new case supply

• Accessible price level supports budget loadout choices

• Ownership includes Happy, tarik and ScreaM

• StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions add collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium, balancing its accessible price level and retired case source against limited evidence of sustained demand. Professional ownership adds visibility, but does not demonstrate future price growth. The main risk is that remaining case openings can add skins while buyer interest and resale prices remain uncertain.
