XM1014 | Mockingbird

XM1014 | Mockingbird is a CS2 skin for the fully automatic XM1014 shotgun in the Heavy weapon category. Its dark receiver combines silver detailing with small gold birds, complemented by brown wood-grain sections. The restrained design suits players who prefer traditional materials with decorative accents. Regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions are available alongside the skin's full exterior range.

Description

XM1014 | Mockingbird gives the fully automatic shotgun a decorative finish built around birds in flight rather than an all-over graphic. Its Gunsmith styling combines a dark receiver with gold artwork and silver details. Black barrel components keep much of the weapon visually understated, directing attention toward the decorated central section. Brown wood-grain elements on the fore-end and grip add another texture without introducing bright colors. The open stock continues that combination of dark framing, metallic fittings and brown panels. This look suits players building a restrained loadout who still want visible detail on their shotgun. Buyers can choose regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions rather than treating every listing as the same type of item. Comparing the exterior, exact float value and version helps identify a suitable copy before buying or trading.

History and Origin

XM1014 | Mockingbird was released on March 31, 2025. It arrived with the Fever Case in the Spring 2025 Skins update. Its creator is Von.Bonelli-XII, a Steam Workshop community designer. The skin belongs to The Fever Collection, linking its collection identity to the case that introduced it. Its flavor text celebrates time spent around birds, reinforcing the subject of the receiver artwork without adding a separate backstory. As of October 9, 2026, the Fever Case is available through the Armory pass, not through weekly drops. Opening that case remains an acquisition route, distinct from the skin's original release event. Existing copies can also be bought on the Steam Community Market or obtained through trades with other players.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish combines dark surfaces, wood-grain elements and metallic decoration in a mostly restrained palette. Small gold birds appear in flight across the dark receiver, concentrating the main illustration in the middle of the shotgun. Fine gold borders frame that area, while silver detailing follows the receiver's upper edge. The barrel and magazine tube are mostly black, leaving their gold accents easy to distinguish. Gold trim surrounds the front openings, with a bright gold end cap positioned beneath the muzzle. Both the fore-end and pistol grip are brown and show a visible wood-grain pattern. The open stock mixes black framing with silver fittings and brown panels that match the grip. Together, these details give the weapon a coordinated appearance without spreading the intricate bird decoration across every part.

Float Value

The XM1014 | Mockingbird float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior tier is excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, but those version labels are separate from cosmetic condition and should be checked independently.

Rarity and Popularity

XM1014 | Mockingbird has the Mil-Spec Grade rarity classification. Its chance of appearing from a Fever Case opening is 11.42%, so opening the correct case does not guarantee this particular finish. Known professional owners include kennyS, olofmeister and tarik, although their ownership alone does not establish broad market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gold birds provide a clear focal point on the receiver

• Brown wood-grain sections complement the dark and metallic surfaces

• All exterior tiers offer flexibility when choosing a copy

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions support different collecting preferences

Price Range

The live XM1014 | Mockingbird price range is $0.02 to $4.44. Regular and StatTrak copies occupy an accessible price bracket, while Souvenir listings sit at substantially higher price levels. Compare the exterior and exact float within the desired version rather than treating the whole range as a single market. Inspect the individual item before deciding whether its condition fits a planned purchase, sale or trade. Neither overall price bound should be treated as a fixed quote for a named exterior or version.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Fever Case

Open the Fever Case for a chance to receive XM1014 | Mockingbird. The case is available through the Armory pass rather than weekly drops, as of October 9, 2026. The skin's opening chance is 11.42%, so this route offers a possibility rather than a guaranteed result.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct buying route for XM1014 | Mockingbird without opening a case. Check the listing's exterior and whether it is regular, StatTrak or Souvenir before choosing a copy.

4. Trade with Other Players

Existing copies can also be obtained through player-to-player trades rather than case openings. Confirm that the offered item matches the intended exterior and version, and inspect its float value before accepting the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Armory access means the Fever Case is not a closed-supply source, which limits a scarcity-led argument for holding the skin. Professional ownership provides a player connection, but it does not establish strong demand or reliable resale activity. Long-term price direction remains uncertain, so regular, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should be evaluated separately when comparing listings.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive gold bird artwork on a restrained receiver

• Ownership by kennyS, olofmeister and tarik

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden collecting choices

• Community-designed finish by Von.Bonelli-XII

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by distinctive artwork, professional ownership and the range of available versions. Continued Armory access and the Mil-Spec Grade opening chance weaken a scarcity-based case for holding it. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, particularly when assessing higher-priced Souvenir listings.
