XM1014 | Ancient Lore

XM1014 | Ancient Lore is a CS2 shotgun skin covered in pale green, beige, and muted red tile patterns. Stylized faces, curling lines, and geometric shapes give its metal sections a detailed, ancient-inspired appearance. The look suits players who prefer intricate motifs balanced by dark weapon furniture. All exterior grades are available, with regular and Souvenir versions but no StatTrak™ option.

Description

XM1014 | Ancient Lore applies an Anodized Multicolored finish to the XM1014, a fully automatic shotgun in the Heavy category. Its tile-inspired artwork covers the barrel, forward tube, and receiver rather than extending uniformly across every component. Small faces and geometric markings make the design more intricate than its muted palette initially suggests. Pale green and beige provide a subdued base, while muted red adds contrast within the outlined shapes. Mostly dark furniture separates the decorated metal from the stock and fore-end. This combination suits players who want detailed artwork without a uniformly bright weapon. Professional player frozen owns XM1014 | Ancient Lore. Buyers can compare exterior, float value, and regular or Souvenir status when choosing a copy.

History and Origin

The finish was released on December 3, 2020, with the Operation Broken Fang update. It belongs to The Ancient Collection, which establishes its collection origin. Valve created the design rather than a community designer. Its accompanying flavor text reflects hope for those whose journey began in the wrong direction. Souvenir availability extends the finish beyond its regular version through 8 Souvenir packages. These include the Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Ancient Souvenir Package. Today, trade-up contracts provide a separate acquisition route, with Ancient Lore among the possible Restricted results from its collection. Existing copies can also be bought on the Steam Community Market or obtained through player-to-player trades.

Finish Style

The Anodized Multicolored finish pairs a varied color scheme with an ancient-tile design. Pale green, beige, and muted red appear across the barrel, forward tube, and receiver. Dark outlines break these patterned sections into irregular blocks rather than a uniform grid. Inside those blocks, curling lines sit alongside geometric shapes and stylized faces. The receiver carries a dense arrangement of smaller motifs, giving that section a particularly busy appearance. Larger, more widely spaced shapes cover the forward sections of the shotgun. The ribbed fore-end and skeletal stock remain mostly dark gray or black, while the textured pistol grip is lighter gray. These plain components create a clear visual separation from the decorated metal without competing with its intricate markings.

Float Value

XM1014 | Ancient Lore has a float range of 0.00 to 0.50. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with none of the standard exterior grades missing. Souvenir versions are available, while exterior and float describe cosmetic condition separately from version availability.

Rarity and Popularity

Ancient Lore has the Restricted rarity grade within The Ancient Collection. Its stated acquisition chance from that collection is 0.21%, or about 1 in 469 outcomes. Documented ownership includes frozen, although professional ownership alone does not establish broad market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Ancient tile motifs with stylized faces and curling details

• Muted colors balanced by plain dark furniture

• Regular and Souvenir options

• Every standard exterior grade is available

Price Range

The live XM1014 | Ancient Lore price range is $13.49 to $100,000.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Exterior, float value, and regular or Souvenir status should be checked before comparing individual asking prices. A low-float copy is best compared with similarly positioned listings rather than judged against the skin-wide range alone. For a practical CS2 skin price comparison, buyers should review the displayed finish alongside those listing details before deciding which copy to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open an Ancient Souvenir Package for a chance to receive a Souvenir version of this shotgun. The finish appears in 8 packages, including the Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Ancient Souvenir Package. An opening does not guarantee Ancient Lore, so buying an existing copy avoids uncertainty about the result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Ancient Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Ancient Lore is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing copy on the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a random acquisition result. Confirm whether the listing is regular or Souvenir, then review its exterior and float value. Compare those details with other listings before selecting a copy.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading offers another way to obtain Ancient Lore by exchanging items with another owner. Check the offered copy's exterior, float value, and regular or Souvenir status before accepting. Those details also matter when preparing an existing copy to sell or trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Regular and Souvenir copies give traders separate versions to compare, with exterior and float helping distinguish individual listings. Ownership by frozen adds a professional ownership reference, but does not prove sustained buying demand. Without an established price trend or clear supply trajectory, trading decisions should focus on the particular copy and its current asking price.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Restricted rarity within The Ancient Collection

• Distinctive Valve-created ancient-tile artwork

• Souvenir availability through Ancient packages

• Documented professional ownership by frozen

The investment rating is medium, supported by Restricted rarity, distinctive artwork, and both regular and Souvenir availability. These features give collectors concrete reasons to consider the finish, but they do not establish future price growth. The main risk is uncertain sustained demand, with no established price history or supply trend supporting a stronger verdict.
