About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Exterior quality reflects a skin's visible wear and is associated with its float value. P250 | Contaminant ranges from 0.00 to 0.70, but its decayed-looking artwork is part of the finish and should not be confused with exterior condition.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is a skin's classification and helps describe its case-opening availability. P250 | Contaminant is Mil-Spec Grade, with an 11.42% chance from the Operation Broken Fang Case.

How much does P250 | Contaminant cost?

P250 | Contaminant ranges from $0.48 to $55.00. Compare the exterior, float and version of individual listings.

Which exteriors are available for P250 | Contaminant?

P250 | Contaminant comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Its float range is 0.00 to 0.70.

Which case contains P250 | Contaminant?

P250 | Contaminant is contained in the Operation Broken Fang Case. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

Does P250 | Contaminant have StatTrak and Souvenir versions?

P250 | Contaminant is available in both StatTrak and Souvenir versions, alongside regular copies. Check the listing's version separately from its exterior and float.

Short Description

P250 | Contaminant is a CS2 pistol skin with a muted maroon finish and an irregular, decayed-looking pattern. Its dark patches and reddish outlines suit players who prefer busy detail within a restrained color palette. Factory New through Battle-Scarred exteriors are available, along with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

P250 | Contaminant applies a Custom Paint Job finish to the P250, a pistol with low recoil and a rapid firing rate. The weapon is a relatively inexpensive option for engagements against armored opponents. The finish's visual identity comes from uneven, corrosion-like marks rather than a single solid color. Reddish outlines give those marks definition across the broad surfaces of the pistol. Pale gray areas near the front contrast with the darker body, breaking up the maroon palette. The design suits players who want a weathered-looking pistol without bright colors dominating their loadout. Buyers have a full exterior selection, plus regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions to consider. Comparing the exact float and visible condition helps distinguish the deliberately distressed artwork from the condition of a particular copy.

History and Origin

P250 | Contaminant was released on December 3, 2020, with the Operation Broken Fang update. Its original case source was the Operation Broken Fang Case. The skin belongs to The Operation Broken Fang Collection, connecting its collection identity to that release. Steam Workshop community designer kiku created the finish. The case no longer drops, so current case availability comes from existing supply rather than newly awarded cases. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending that route for new cases. Existing copies of the Operation Broken Fang Case can still be purchased on the market and opened. Today, buyers can also obtain a specific skin directly through marketplace purchases or trades with other players.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job presents the maroon coating as partially eaten away, making decay central to the design. Muted maroon covers the slide, frame and grip, tying the pistol's main surfaces together. Irregular dark brown and nearly black patches interrupt that base color across much of the weapon. Thin reddish borders surround the patches, creating a mottled pattern with a cellular appearance. Pale gray sections appear around the muzzle, beneath the front of the frame and along parts of the trigger guard. The trigger and small controls remain dark gray, keeping these details within the subdued palette. Fine grooves are still visible on the rear slide and grip beneath the busy surface treatment. Scattered dark speckles add another layer of detail, reinforcing the uneven, deteriorated character of the finish.

Float Value

P250 | Contaminant has a float value range of 0.00 to 0.70. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories is missing. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available, with version choice remaining separate from the exterior and float of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

P250 | Contaminant is a Mil-Spec Grade pistol skin from The Operation Broken Fang Collection. Opening the Operation Broken Fang Case gives an 11.42% chance of receiving this finish. Professional players JDC, MoDo and beastik own the skin, though their ownership alone does not establish broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted maroon colors suit darker pistol loadouts

• Reddish outlines give the mottled pattern a distinct identity

• All exteriors accommodate different condition preferences

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions broaden collecting choices

Price Range

The live P250 | Contaminant price range is $0.48 to $55.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not fixed prices assigned to particular exteriors or versions. Compare regular, StatTrak and Souvenir listings separately, then check the exterior and exact float of each candidate. For buyers and sellers, matching those details makes a CS2 skin price comparison more useful than considering the lowest listing alone.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Broken Fang Case

Open an existing Operation Broken Fang Case for a chance at the Contaminant finish. The case no longer drops, but remaining cases can still be bought on the market and opened without guaranteeing this particular skin.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy P250 | Contaminant directly from listings on the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a case result. Check the offered exterior, inspect the float and confirm the version before choosing a listing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with other players to obtain an existing copy instead of opening a case. Confirm the item's exterior, float and whether it is a regular, StatTrak or Souvenir version before accepting an exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired case drops restrict new case supply, but remaining cases can still generate additional Contaminant skins. Professional ownership provides a visible connection without establishing broad demand or dependable resale speed. Compare equivalent exteriors and versions when deciding whether to buy, sell or trade, since there is no established price trend to rely on.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case drops constrain future case supply

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive maroon finish with detailed mottled artwork

• StatTrak and Souvenir options add collecting variety

The investment rating is medium, supported by retired case drops, professional ownership and a modest current price level. The main risk is that existing cases can still add skins, while uncertain demand limits confidence in resale prospects. This is an editorial judgment, not a promise of returns.
