Falchion Knife | Freehand

★ Falchion Knife | Freehand is a CS2 knife skin with a purple-and-black base and silver-gray, marker-like artwork. Its curved blade and handle carry irregular shapes, curls and small illustrated figures. The busy finish suits players who prefer expressive decoration over a plain blade. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with standard and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

★ Falchion Knife | Freehand brings an illustrated finish to a CS2 knife modeled after the falchion sword. The weapon combines a clip point with a curved cutting edge, giving the artwork a distinctive outline to follow. Purple and black provide the background, while metallic-looking markings make the decorated areas stand out. The design extends across both the blade and curved handle rather than concentrating on the blade alone. A dark central handle plate interrupts the pattern and gives the eye a quieter area between the drawings. This finish suits purple-themed loadouts and players drawn to loose, doodle-like artwork rather than a uniform surface. Buyers can choose a standard copy or a StatTrak version, depending on their preferred item type. When comparing available copies, the exterior, exact float value and pictured appearance are more useful together than the condition label alone.

History and Origin

★ Falchion Knife | Freehand was released on September 21, 2021. Its debut came with the Operation Riptide update, placing its origin in that release rather than a later addition. The Operation Riptide Case was the case associated with its introduction. Valve created the finish, so its design is not credited to a community artist. Today, the Dreams & Nightmares Case also provides a case-opening route to this knife. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Operation Riptide Case drops. Existing Operation Riptide cases can still be bought on the market and opened, keeping that original acquisition route available. As of October 9, 2026, the Dreams & Nightmares Case remained in the weekly drop pool through the Weekly Care Package.

Finish Style

Freehand uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, with metallic decoration defining its visual character. A purple-and-black base covers the blade and curved handle, connecting the decorated parts through a shared palette. Silver-gray artwork contrasts with those darker colors and resembles drawings made with a metallic marker. Irregular lines sit alongside angular shapes, curls and small doodle-like figures, creating an intentionally varied pattern. Large outlined symbols stretch across the middle of the blade, where their broad shapes are easy to distinguish. The markings become denser toward the tip, making that section visually busier than the central blade area. The central handle plate stays dark gray, with visible round fasteners and a plain surface that breaks up the surrounding artwork. Bright metallic edges outline parts of the knife, adding crisp borders alongside the loosely drawn markings.

Float Value

The float value range for ★ Falchion Knife | Freehand is 0.00 to 0.48. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so the finish covers the full set of exterior categories. StatTrak versions are available; version choice is separate from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Falchion Knife | Freehand has Covert rarity, a classification separate from its float value and exterior. Its chance of appearing from the Operation Riptide Case is 0.0085%, which applies specifically to that case route. Professional player DANK1NG owns the skin, providing a documented ownership connection without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Purple-and-black colors with contrasting metallic artwork

• Doodle-like details across both blade and handle

• Plain handle plate balances the busy decoration

• Standard and StatTrak options across the available exteriors

Price Range

The live ★ Falchion Knife | Freehand price range is $62.82 to $265.72. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than assigning either endpoint to a particular exterior or version. Compare exterior, exact float value and StatTrak status together when checking the CS2 skin price across individual listings. Inspect the pictured blade and handle as well, especially when choosing between copies carrying the same exterior label.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open an Operation Riptide Case or Dreams & Nightmares Case for a chance to obtain this knife. Existing Riptide cases remain usable despite their retired drop status, while Dreams & Nightmares cases continue entering through the weekly drop pool. The Operation Riptide Case chance is 0.0085%, so opening that case is not a direct purchase of the finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy ★ Falchion Knife | Freehand on the Steam Community Market by choosing a listing for the desired exterior and version. Check whether the item is standard or StatTrak before comparing its listed price with other copies. Buying a specific listing selects the finish directly rather than leaving the result to a case opening.

4. Trade with Other Players

The knife can also be obtained through trades with other players. Before accepting an exchange, check the full item name, exterior, float value and whether the copy has StatTrak. Inspect the offered item's appearance so the trade matches the condition and version being sought.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Supply comes through a retired Operation Riptide Case route and an active Dreams & Nightmares Case route, so the finish is not limited to existing knives. DANK1NG's ownership adds a professional connection, but it does not establish dependable resale demand or a price trend. Players looking to buy, sell or trade should compare like-for-like exteriors and versions rather than treating every Freehand listing as equivalent.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive purple-and-black artwork with metallic accents

• Documented ownership by DANK1NG

• StatTrak availability adds a separate buying option

• Broad exterior choice accommodates different condition preferences

The editorial investment rating is medium, reflecting distinctive artwork, StatTrak availability and documented professional ownership without evidence of sustained price growth. Retired Operation Riptide cases limit that source, but the Dreams & Nightmares Case keeps an active acquisition route open. Continued supply is the main risk for buyers relying on scarcity to support future resale value.
