Falchion Knife | Case Hardened

The ★ Falchion Knife | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a curved blade and mottled metallic coloring. Gold, blue, purple, yellow, and brown patches extend across the blade and handle. Its varied palette suits players who prefer colorful metal finishes over graphic artwork. All exterior grades are available, with standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

The ★ Falchion Knife | Case Hardened brings a multicolored Patina finish to a CS2 knife modeled after a falchion sword. Its clip point blade combines a curved cutting edge with a compact, curved handle. Pale gold areas sit alongside blue, purple, and brown patches, giving the colored surfaces an irregular metallic appearance. The design relies on mottling rather than visible lettering or a distinct illustration. A dark gray pivot plate and bright silver fasteners provide contrast against the blade and handle. This look suits players building a colorful loadout or choosing a knife with contrasting tones instead of a uniform finish. Standard and StatTrak versions give buyers a choice separate from the knife's cosmetic condition. When comparing copies, buyers can review the exterior, float value, version, and listing images rather than judge the finish by its name alone.

History and Origin

Valve released the ★ Falchion Knife | Case Hardened in CS:GO on May 26, 2015. It arrived with the Falchion Case as part of the Operation Bloodhound update. Valve created the skin internally, rather than selecting it from a community designer. The finish draws its identity from color case-hardening, a treatment involving wood charcoal and high temperatures. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Falchion Case drops. As of October 9, 2026, existing cases remain available to buy on the market and open. Finished knives can also be purchased on the Steam Community Market without obtaining a case. Player-to-player trades provide another current route, transferring an existing copy rather than relying on a case opening.

Finish Style

Case Hardened uses the Patina finish style, with irregular metallic coloration defining its appearance. Its color treatment is based on heating the metal with wood charcoal rather than applying a printed illustration. The pictured blade carries patches of gold, pale yellow, blue, purple, and brown across its curved surface. Blue and purple gather near the tip and blade base, framing a largely pale-gold middle. The handle continues the same patchwork treatment rather than switching to a plain contrasting color. Stronger blue and purple appear toward the handle's front, while gold tones occupy its curved end. A dark gray pivot plate creates a neutral break between the colored sections. Bright silver fasteners add small, sharp highlights against the darker hardware and mottled metal. With no visible lettering or distinct artwork, the finish's character comes from the arrangement of its color patches and the underlying knife shape.

Float Value

The ★ Falchion Knife | Case Hardened has a float value range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, covering every listed condition grade. Standard and StatTrak versions are available; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition indicated by float.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Falchion Knife | Case Hardened has the Covert rarity grade, which is separate from its exterior and float value. Its stated chance from the Falchion Case is 0.02%, so opening a case is an uncertain route to this particular finish. The case no longer drops, although existing cases can still be opened and finished knives can be purchased or traded.

Why it’s Popular:

• Mottled gold, blue, and purple across the blade and handle

• Curved blade shape complements the irregular metallic finish

• Every exterior grade offers a different condition choice

• StatTrak option for players who want that version

Price Range

The live ★ Falchion Knife | Case Hardened price range is $112.89 to $2,298.50. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a specific exterior or standard versus StatTrak version. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, group listings by exterior and version before reviewing their individual float values. Listing images also matter because the visible color arrangement is a separate consideration from the condition label. Buyers and sellers should compare current offers for the actual copy being considered rather than treat the overall range as a fixed valuation.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Falchion Case

Open the Falchion Case for a chance at this knife, with a stated drop chance of 0.02%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Opening one does not guarantee this finish, so purchasing a listed copy is the direct alternative.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy the ★ Falchion Knife | Case Hardened on the Steam Community Market by selecting a listing for the desired exterior and version. Check the float value, StatTrak status, and available item images before purchasing an existing knife rather than attempting a case opening.

4. Trade with Other Players

Obtain the knife by trading with another player who owns a copy. Before accepting the exchange, confirm that its exterior, float value, version, and visible finish match the item being offered.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The Falchion Case no longer receives new drops, so openings draw on existing case supply rather than newly dropped containers. That supports a supply-based holding argument, but it does not establish strong demand or a reliable resale pace. When buying, selling, or trading, compare standard and StatTrak knives within the same exterior, then review their float values and appearance.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source receives no replenishment through new drops

• Covert rarity with a low stated case-opening chance

• Distinctive metallic palette across both blade and handle

• StatTrak availability adds another option for buyers

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by the retired case source and the knife's low stated opening chance. Those supply factors do not establish a dependable price trend, leaving future demand and price direction uncertain. The main risk is insufficient resale demand, which can outweigh limits on new case supply.
