The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Details Revealed
Naughty Dog, the US studio behind the Unchartered and Last of Us series, has revealed technical specifications PC gamers will need to run The Last of Us Part II Remastered when it’s released on April 3, 2025.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered was released on PS5 last year, so the PC version also comes with additional updates and content, as the developers outlined in a recent news post.
“The PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered brings with it all the improvements and new features added in the PlayStation 5 version released in 2024, such as the roguelike survival mode No Return, Guitar Free Play, and hours of developer commentary,” Naughty Dog said on its official website.
“The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC offers a wide range of graphics settings and presets, to ensure the best possible experience on hardware ranging from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices,” the studio added.
PC Bells And Whistles
The Last of Us Part II was first released in 2020, so the Remastered version didn’t have to do too much to touch up the look of the game. However, that’s not to say that its move to PC skimps on any graphical tweaks. It includes support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3.1 and AMD FSR 4 with upscaling and frame generation, so gamers will need a minimum Geforce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 5500 XT GPU.
To take full advantage of VSync and framerate cap options, plus Texture Quality, LOD Distance Range, Volumetric Quality, Shadow Quality, Ambient Occlusion, Reflections Quality, and other delights, gamers will need a Geforce RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 7900XT.
Monitor resolutions covered in the PC version include 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide and even 48:9 resolutions with compatibility for triple-monitor setups, for gamers who want to really immerse themselves in the virtual snow-covered mountains of Jackson, Wyoming.
As expected, there’s full mouse and keyboard support in the form of remapping, primary and secondary key bindings, plus an adaptive mode that allows players to combine keyboard and controller inputs. Full gamepad support is also covered, including DualSense with full haptic feedback.
Extra Content
The The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC version also comes with the fan-favorite No Return mode, which itself comes with extra content, including four new maps: Overlook, School, Streets and Nest. More characters will also be introduced.
“Two new characters are being introduced for the mode – The Last of Us Part I’s Bill and Marlene. Like with each No Return combatant, these characters offer their own unique playstyles, and should offer both new and returning fans an exciting new opportunity to test their mettle.”
