I Hate This Place Set For Premiere in Q4 2025
Publisher Broken Mirror Games under Bloober Team has partnered with multi-platform entertainment company Skybound Entertainment to release the open-world survival horror I Hate This Place in the final quarter of 2025. The game will be available on PC, consoles and Nintendo Switch.
Inspired by Skybound’s Eisner award-nominated comic series by Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin, I Hate This Place takes place in a supernatural world where the rules of reality don’t always apply.
“We are always looking to push the boundaries of horror in all its forms, and with this new title under Broken Mirror Games, I Hate This Place is a testament to that vision. With its blend of survival mechanics, gripping storytelling, and a distinct visual identity, we believe I Hate This Place will immerse players in a truly unforgettable nightmare,” said Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno in a press release.
The Bloober Team is known for esteemed titles such as The Medium, Layers of Fear, Observer, and Silent Hill 2.

Players will take on the role of the protagonist, Elena, and combat all manners of horrors with brute force. Different situations will call for ranged weapons or powerful melee attacks to survive the day and night cycle which impacts gameplay dynamics.
According to the press release, each location has been crafted to tell a disturbing story through stylish visuals that will blur the line between reality and nightmare in a world where every encounter could be deadly.
Starks, the writer of the I Hate This Place comic book series said that he was excited to see his labor of love being re-imagined as a video game.
“I’m thrilled to see someone bring it to life in video game form. I can’t wait to get my hands on this game and be trapped on the terrible ranch the book inhabits,” he said in the press release.
