Short Description

Glock-18 | Moonrise is a CS2 pistol skin for the Terrorist side, featuring a purple nighttime city scene. A pale moon rises behind the skyline on the slide, while the frame and grip remain dark gray. The look suits purple-themed loadouts and players who prefer illustrated scenery over an all-over pattern. It comes in every exterior, with regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

Glock-18 | Moonrise brings a nighttime city illustration to the Terrorist side's opening-round pistol in CS2. The weapon works best against unarmored opponents and offers a burst-fire option. Its design combines a purple sky, dark buildings and a pale moon across the slide. Brighter pink-purple color near the muzzle contrasts with the darker sky farther along the weapon. The mostly plain lower frame keeps attention on the illustrated upper section without extending the scene across every surface. This finish suits players looking for a purple accent or a small landscape composition in their pistol loadout. Documented professional owners include tarik, mixwell and rallen, although ownership alone does not establish market demand. Buyers can compare the exterior, exact float and available version to select a copy that matches their preferences.

History and Origin

The Moonrise was released in CS:GO on February 14, 2018, through the Clutch Case Skins update. The Clutch Case was its original case source and remains a way to obtain the skin today. Its creator, MGBazz, is a community designer associated with the Steam Workshop. The skin belongs to The Clutch Collection, which also supplies the relevant inputs for its Trade Up Contract route. Existing copies can now be bought on marketplaces or exchanged through player-to-player trades. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops of the Clutch Case. Existing cases can still be purchased and opened, so retirement did not remove the case-opening route. Trade Up Contracts offer another acquisition method, separate from opening the case or buying an already-created copy.

Finish Style

Moonrise uses the Anodized Airbrushed finish style, with its artwork concentrated on the pistol's slide. Purple forms the main color field, giving the scene a distinctly nighttime palette. Near the muzzle, brighter pink-purple areas interrupt the darker sky running along the slide. A dark city silhouette follows the lower edge, with blocky buildings forming the foreground. Thin antenna-like lines and small window details add structure to the skyline without covering the surrounding weapon parts. A pale full moon sits behind the buildings toward the rear half of the slide. The frame, trigger guard and textured grip are dark gray, while the muzzle face is light gray. The city landscape is randomized, making the scene's arrangement another detail worth inspecting on an individual copy. The contrast between the illustrated slide and mostly plain lower body defines the finish's visual character.

Float Value

Glock-18 | Moonrise has a float range of 0.00 to 0.65. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories are missing. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, with version choice remaining separate from the item's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

Glock-18 | Moonrise has the Restricted rarity grade, which is separate from its exterior and float value. Its stated chance from the Clutch Case is 3.2%, so opening a case does not guarantee this particular skin. It is one of 448 pistol skins and can be obtained through existing cases, Trade Up Contracts, marketplaces and player trades.

Why it’s Popular:

• Purple night sky gives the pistol a distinct color theme

• City skyline and pale moon create a detailed slide illustration

• Plain dark frame keeps attention on the artwork

• Every exterior is available alongside StatTrak and Souvenir versions

Price Range

The live Glock-18 | Moonrise price range is $0.57 to $6.49. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed price for any named exterior or version. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred listings by their exact float value, and distinguish regular, StatTrak and Souvenir copies. Before deciding to buy, sell or trade, check that the listing's condition and version match the item being considered.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Clutch Case

Opening a Clutch Case can produce the Moonrise, with a stated chance of 3.2%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This route produces a random result rather than guaranteeing the pistol skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can use 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Clutch Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Moonrise is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins. The required inputs therefore offer a chance at this finish rather than a direct purchase.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Moonrise can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market. Compare the listed exterior, float and version before choosing a copy, especially when searching for StatTrak or Souvenir options. Purchasing the specific listed item avoids the random outcome of a case opening or Trade Up Contract.

5. Trade with Other Players

The skin can also be obtained by trading with other players. Confirm the offered copy's exterior, exact float and version before accepting, rather than relying on the finish name alone.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Clutch Case has no new drop supply, although existing cases and Trade Up Contracts can still produce additional Moonrise copies. Professional ownership demonstrates player interest, but it does not establish demand strength or how quickly a listing will sell. When comparing trade offers, separate regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions and inspect the cosmetic condition of each item.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source has no new drop supply

• Distinctive purple skyline and moon artwork

• Documented ownership by professional players

• StatTrak and Souvenir options support different collecting preferences

The editorial investment rating is medium, reflecting an accessible price level, documented professional ownership and a retired case source. Its main risk is that existing cases and Trade Up Contracts can still add skins while demand strength remains uncertain. Those factors favor careful listing comparisons rather than an assumption that retirement will produce price growth.
