Short Description

Desert Eagle | Code Red is a CS2 pistol skin with a bright red upper section and angular white and gray detailing. Its dark frame and textured black grip balance the busy geometric design. The finish suits players who prefer a high-contrast sidearm with a clearly defined color scheme. All exterior grades are available, alongside regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

Desert Eagle | Code Red brings a red-and-white custom finish to the Desert Eagle pistol in CS2. The weapon is powerful, demands practiced handling, and can deliver accurate shots at long range. Its Code Red finish concentrates the strongest colors on the slide and barrel housing rather than covering every part equally. A darker lower frame gives the patterned upper section a clear visual boundary. This arrangement suits red-themed loadouts while retaining substantial black and gray areas for contrast. Small geometric markings give the design detail beyond its main color blocks. Buyers can compare regular, StatTrak and Souvenir copies according to the version they want to own. Checking the exact float value alongside the exterior label helps distinguish individual listings before a purchase or trade.

History and Origin

Desert Eagle | Code Red debuted on August 1, 2018, alongside the Horizon Case. It arrived in the "Horizon Case Skins" update, establishing that case as its original case-opening source. DasDas, a Steam Workshop community designer, created the finish. The pistol belongs to The Horizon Collection, which also determines its collection-based trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Horizon Case no longer drops as of October 9, 2026. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so that retirement did not remove access through case openings. Today, direct marketplace purchases, player trades, and eligible trade-up contracts provide alternatives to opening the original case.

Finish Style

Code Red uses a Gunsmith finish built around a bright red slide and barrel housing. Angular white and gray detailing follows the sides and continues around the muzzle. Thin dark lines, compact blocks, and diagonal stripes give the upper section its busy geometric character. Dark lettering sits along a gray side strip, with black vertical grooves visible near the front and rear. The lower frame and trigger are dark gray, separating them visually from the brighter painted surfaces above. A fine texture covers the black grip, which also carries a circular winged emblem. A red band at the bottom of the grip brings the main color into the otherwise restrained lower section. The overall effect combines bold color placement with small mechanical-looking details rather than a continuous illustration across the pistol.

Float Value

The float value range for Desert Eagle | Code Red is 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior grade excluded. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are supported, while exterior and float describe the item's cosmetic condition separately from its version.

Rarity and Popularity

Desert Eagle | Code Red has the Covert rarity grade. Its stated chance from the Horizon Case is 0.32%, making case opening a chance-based route rather than a dependable way to obtain this specific pistol. Documented professional owners include f0rest, RpK and rallen, although ownership alone does not establish current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Bright red and white styling suits high-contrast loadouts

• Geometric details add interest without covering the entire pistol

• Dark frame and textured grip balance the colorful upper section

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir options offer different collecting choices

Price Range

The live Desert Eagle | Code Red price range is $35.40 to $255.70. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, separate listings by exterior before checking their individual float values. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should also be compared as distinct purchasing options, without assuming a fixed premium between versions. Buyers should inspect the actual item when choosing a listing, rather than treating the overall range as a price for every copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Horizon Case

Open a Horizon Case for a chance to obtain Code Red. The stated chance is 0.32%, so an opening does not provide a reliable substitute for buying the specific skin. Although no new Horizon Cases drop, existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A contract using 10 Classified skins from The Horizon Collection produces a Covert skin from that collection. Code Red is a possible result, but selection is random among the collection's Covert skins. Compare the input cost with a direct purchase before choosing this route.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy a listed copy on the Steam Community Market to choose the skin directly instead of relying on a random result. Check the exterior, version, and any available float details before selecting an item.

5. Trade with Other Players

Code Red can also be obtained through an agreed trade with another player. Confirm the offered pistol's exterior, float, and version, then compare the exchange with current listings before accepting.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retirement limits fresh Horizon Case supply, but existing cases and trade-up contracts still provide routes for additional Code Red skins. Professional ownership offers a visibility signal, not proof of broad demand or quick resale in the CS2 market. When buying, selling, or trading, compare the exact exterior, float, and version rather than assuming the finish name alone determines value.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired Horizon Case limits fresh case supply

• Covert rarity supports collection appeal

• Documented professional ownership adds visibility

• Distinct red-and-white styling gives the finish a clear identity

Code Red receives a medium-to-good investment rating based on its Covert rarity, retired case source, and documented professional ownership. The main risk is uncertain future demand: acquisition routes remain open, and these factors do not establish a reliable price trend or promise returns.
