Today is the day when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gets its second huge update to further expand the game. 3.0 update brings a lot of long-awaited features such as Stage Builder mode alongside Joker, a new hero from Persona 5.

The new Stage Builder mode is one of the key features in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 3.0 content update. Previously, it appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, however, Nintendo has made some apparent changes to make this feature work even better with the new console. With it, players will now be able to freely draw stage platforms using Nintendo Switch’s touchscreen, this looks to unleash a lot of new creative potentials.

All the newly created stages can then be uploaded to Smash World service, where players will be able to check out other custom stages and download them for free. Stage Builder mode is not an entirely new thing in the game but the upcoming update will also introduce a new video editor. This feature will enable Smash players to record their replays and share them online with the whole community.

3.0 content update will also introduce a new hero as a part of the game’s first Challenger Pack. However, it won’t come for free. For 6 bucks, you can purchase the entire Pack and add Persona 5’s Joker to your Smash roster. Alongside the new hero, you’ll also receive Persona-themed stage called mementos and 11 unique music tracks from Persona game series.
