Short Description

★ Ursus Knife | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a mottled metallic blade and an olive-brown handle. Gold, silver, blue, purple, and copper tones give the finish its uneven color mix. The contrast suits players who prefer a colorful blade with a restrained grip. Buyers can choose across all exterior tiers and consider a StatTrak™ version.

Description

★ Ursus Knife | Case Hardened is a CS2 skin for a tanto-style survival knife. The weapon's faceted blade and full tang give its multicolored finish a substantial metal surface. An impact pommel completes the fixed design, which has no moving parts. Case Hardened uses a Patina finish, bringing irregular metallic color to the blade rather than a uniform painted look. A subdued olive-brown handle keeps the visual focus on the patterned steel. This combination suits players who want color on their knife without a brightly colored grip. Professional owners include advent, FaNg, and MICHU. Buyers can compare exterior, float value, StatTrak status, and visible color placement when selecting a copy.

History and Origin

Valve released the Ursus Knife | Case Hardened on August 1, 2018, alongside the Horizon Case. It arrived as part of the "Horizon Case Skins" update. Valve created the skin, rather than a community designer. The Danger Zone Case also contains this knife finish and remains an opening route through existing stock. On December 17, 2025, Valve retired the rare drop pool. As of October 9, 2026, neither the Horizon Case nor the Danger Zone Case receives new drops. Existing containers from both cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Direct skin purchases and player trades offer alternatives to opening a case, separating current acquisition options from the original release.

Finish Style

The Patina finish represents metal colored by heating it intensely with wood charcoal. Across the pictured blade, pale gold, yellow, and silver dominate the tip and middle. Blue, purple, and copper-colored areas gather closer to the blade's base. Smaller blue-gray marks follow the upper edge, adding contrast outside the main color cluster. These colors form irregular blotches rather than a neat repeating motif. A dark charcoal guard separates the patterned blade from the olive-brown handle. Rows of small dimples texture the grip, alongside a curved recessed outline. The handle and guard remain visually uniform compared with the busy metallic blade. Listing images help buyers assess color placement alongside the exterior and float information.

Float Value

The Ursus Knife | Case Hardened has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Standard and StatTrak versions are available; version choice is separate from the knife's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The Ursus Knife | Case Hardened carries Covert rarity. The chance of obtaining it from the Horizon Case is 0.0049%, a figure specific to that case-opening route. Its rarity does not prevent direct purchases, with standard and StatTrak copies available through market listings and player trades.

Why it’s Popular:

• Multicolored blade with irregular metallic patches

• Muted handle contrasts with the colorful steel

• All exterior tiers available

• Standard and StatTrak options

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Ursus Knife | Case Hardened is $89.61 to $469.01. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare standard and StatTrak listings separately, since version choice matters alongside cosmetic condition. Check the exact float value within the named exterior, and inspect the blade image rather than relying on the label alone. Before deciding where to buy, sell, or trade, compare asking prices for listings with matching exteriors and versions.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Horizon Case or Danger Zone Case for a chance at this knife. Neither case receives new drops, but existing containers can still be bought on the market and opened. Opening a case does not guarantee this finish, and the Horizon Case chance is 0.0049%.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy the knife directly on the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case opening. Check the listing's exterior and whether it is standard or StatTrak before comparing prices and selecting an available copy.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades provide another route to the Ursus Knife | Case Hardened. Compare the offered knife's float, exterior, and StatTrak status against the item being exchanged. Inspect its blade colors as part of the decision, rather than relying only on the finish name.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Neither source case receives new drops, so opening existing containers reduces the remaining case stock. Professional ownership offers visibility, but it does not prove sustained buying demand or quick resale. For a practical comparison, separate standard from StatTrak listings and match exterior and float before judging an asking price.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Source cases no longer receive new drops

• Distinctive multicolored Patina finish

• Ownership by advent, FaNg, and MICHU

• Standard and StatTrak versions available

The editorial investment rating is medium: retired case drops and professional ownership offer support, but resale evidence is limited. Existing knives can still circulate, so reduced case supply does not guarantee a stronger resale price. The main risk is paying an asking price that future buyer demand may not support.
