Talon Knife | Stained

★ Talon Knife | Stained is a CS2 knife skin with a curved, silver-gray blade covered in irregular patina patches. Its pale cream handle, gold-toned fasteners and silver ring contrast with the darker blade. The finish suits players who prefer mottled metal and muted colors over a brightly colored knife. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with standard and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

★ Talon Knife | Stained applies the Stained finish to the Talon Knife, pairing a curved blade with a ring-handled profile in CS2. The blade's uneven gray and bluish patches give its metal surface a deliberately blotchy appearance. A bright silver cutting edge creates a clear boundary against the darker patina across the blade. The cream handle introduces a contrasting color without competing with the finish's busy texture. This combination suits players building a loadout around neutral colors or visibly textured metal. Standard and StatTrak versions provide a choice between the finish alone and a version with a kill counter. The available exterior selection spans Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so buyers can compare different condition categories. When choosing a copy, listing images, float value and version are more useful than treating every Stained Talon as an identical purchase.

History and Origin

★ Talon Knife | Stained was released on August 1, 2018, alongside the Horizon Case. Its introduction was part of the Horizon Case Skins update, establishing the case as its original release route. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer, combining the Talon model with the Stained finish. The Danger Zone Case also contains this knife finish and remains another supported opening route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, neither the Horizon Case nor the Danger Zone Case receives new drops. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so the end of case drops does not prevent further unboxings. Already-unboxed knives can also be acquired through the Steam Community Market or player trades, separately from purchasing and opening a case.

Finish Style

Stained uses a Patina finish, with an uneven surface treatment rather than a uniform painted color. The effect comes from applying lemon and mustard to the metal to create a forced patina. Across the curved blade, silver and gray areas are interrupted by irregular dark gray and bluish patches. A brighter silver strip follows the cutting edge, separating it visually from the more heavily mottled blade surface. Near the handle, three circular holes and short spine serrations add detail to the blade's outline. The handle is pale cream with faint mottling, making its surface comparatively simple beside the busy blade. Gold-toned brass fasteners introduce a warm accent against the cooler silver metal and cream grip. A small circular emblem sits at the handle's center, while silver metal borders the grip and forms the large base ring. Together, these details give the knife a mixed-material appearance, with the blade's irregular staining remaining the main visual feature.

Float Value

★ Talon Knife | Stained has a float value range of 0.00 to 1.00. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior category missing. Standard and StatTrak versions are available, but there is no Souvenir version; version choice should be checked separately from exterior condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Talon Knife | Stained has the Covert rarity grade. Its drop chance from the Horizon Case is 0.0049%, a case-specific figure that should not be applied to Danger Zone Case openings. Current acquisition routes include opening existing source cases, buying listed knives and trading with other players, despite both cases no longer dropping.

Why it’s Popular:

• Blotchy silver-gray patina gives the curved blade a textured appearance

• Cream handle and gold-toned fasteners contrast with the darker blade

• Standard and StatTrak versions accommodate different preferences

• Every exterior category is available for comparison

Price Range

The live ★ Talon Knife | Stained price range is $252.20 to $985.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a permanently assigned exterior or version. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, buyers should check the exterior, exact float value and whether the listing includes StatTrak. Listing images also help distinguish the appearance of individual copies instead of relying solely on an exterior label. When planning to buy, sell or trade, comparisons should focus on listings with matching versions and relevant condition details.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

★ Talon Knife | Stained can be unboxed from the Horizon Case or Danger Zone Case, although neither case receives new drops. Existing cases remain available to buy and open, and the Horizon Case chance for this specific skin is 0.0049%.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market offers a direct purchase route for already-unboxed copies, avoiding an uncertain case result. Buyers should check the listed exterior and standard or StatTrak version, then inspect the individual knife before choosing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain this finish by trading with other players rather than opening a source case. Before agreeing to an exchange, both sides should check the exact knife, its float value, exterior and whether it is a StatTrak version.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired source cases limit replenishment of case supply, but openings of existing Horizon and Danger Zone cases can still produce additional knives. Without established demand or price-history evidence, the supply restriction alone does not support a confident short-term flipping thesis. Practical comparisons should separate standard and StatTrak listings, then examine exterior, float and the individual blade's appearance.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Source cases no longer receive new drops

• Distinctive patina paired with a cream handle

• Standard and StatTrak versions offer separate buying options

• Complete exterior selection supports varied collection preferences

★ Talon Knife | Stained receives a medium investment rating: retired source cases provide a supply constraint, while its patina and version choices offer collecting appeal. The main risk is uncertain buyer demand, since existing case openings can still add knives and restricted case supply does not guarantee rising prices.
