Talon Knife | Boreal Forest

★ Talon Knife | Boreal Forest is a CS2 knife skin with forest camouflage across its curved blade. Olive, green, gray, and brown patches contrast with a thin silver cutting edge and a comparatively plain handle. Its muted palette suits players building an earthy, understated loadout. All listed wear exteriors are available, alongside standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Talon Knife | Boreal Forest brings a woodland-inspired finish to the Talon Knife in CS2. Its palette combines pale olive and green with gray and dark brown, giving the blade a layered camouflage appearance. Circular blade openings and a notched spine remain visible within the irregular patches. The handle provides a quieter visual counterweight through muted coloring and faint surface lines. A large finger ring and curved cutting edge preserve the weapon's distinctive outline beneath the finish. This look suits players who prefer natural colors and patterned surfaces rather than a bright, uniform blade. Buyers can choose a standard version or a StatTrak counter, depending on their collecting preferences. When comparing listings, the exterior, exact float value, and item images help distinguish the available copies.

History and Origin

The skin debuted on August 1, 2018, in the Horizon Case Skins update. The Horizon Case supplied its original case-opening route. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The Danger Zone Case is another source for this knife, expanding its acquisition options beyond the launch case. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the Horizon Case and Danger Zone Case no longer receive new drops. This retirement affects new case supply, but existing cases remain purchasable and can still be opened. Today, buyers can pursue those case-opening routes or obtain an existing knife through marketplace purchases and player trades.

Finish Style

Boreal Forest uses a Hydrographic finish to place forest camouflage across the Talon's blade. Pale olive, green, gray, and dark brown form its subdued color scheme. The patches have irregular outlines, creating a busy surface rather than a tidy geometric layout. They extend around the blade's three circular holes and along the notched spine. A narrow silver edge follows the concave cutting side, separating the camouflage from the sharpened outline. The handle appears mostly gray-olive, with green circular fasteners and faint lines across its surface. Its large finger ring completes a comparatively plain handle that contrasts with the heavily patterned blade. The underlying weapon design includes an ivory handle and brass rivets, while this finish presents those areas in muted tones.

Float Value

The float value range is 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so no listed wear tier is excluded. Standard and StatTrak versions are available, but there is no Souvenir version; version availability is separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Talon Knife | Boreal Forest has the Covert rarity grade. Its stated chance from the Horizon Case is 0.0049%, which should not be treated as a verified chance for the Danger Zone Case. Retired case drops do not prevent acquisition through existing cases, marketplace listings, or player trades.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted forest colors suit earthy loadouts

• Curved blade, circular openings, and notched spine create a distinctive outline

• Busy camouflage contrasts with a comparatively plain handle

• Standard and StatTrak versions accommodate different preferences

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range is $179.99 to $755.00. These bounds cover the item overall, rather than a particular exterior or version. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred listings separately, checking the exact float instead of relying only on the exterior label. Standard and StatTrak copies should also be distinguished when evaluating a listing. Inspect the item images alongside its asking price before deciding which copy to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Horizon Case or Danger Zone Case for a chance at this finish. Neither case receives new drops, but existing cases can still be bought and opened. The Horizon Case chance is 0.0049%, so opening it does not ensure this knife.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy the knife on the Steam Community Market to select a listed copy instead of relying on a case result. Check its exterior, exact float, and standard or StatTrak status before comparing the asking price with other listings.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player who owns this finish and is willing to exchange it. Review the actual knife's exterior, float value, and version before agreeing, rather than treating every Boreal Forest copy as interchangeable.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The source cases no longer drop, so case openings depend on existing case supplies rather than newly dropped cases. When planning to buy, sell, or trade, compare the same exterior and version while checking each copy's float. Future demand and resale speed remain uncertain, which limits confidence in short-term flips.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases limit fresh case supply

• Valve-created finish with an established release history

• Distinctive blade shape paired with forest camouflage

• Standard and StatTrak versions offer collecting options

The investment rating is medium, with retired source cases providing a supply-based reason to consider a hold. Existing cases can still produce additional copies, and sustained buyer demand is not established. That uncertainty is the main risk when buying primarily for resale rather than the knife's appearance.
