Short Description

★ Talon Knife | Slaughter is a CS2 knife skin with a curved red blade and pale ivory-gray handle panels. Its angular zebra-like bands contrast with the handle's quieter, lightly mottled surface. The look suits players building a red loadout who prefer distinct blade patterning over a uniform finish. Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested copies are available, along with StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Talon Knife | Slaughter pairs the Talon Knife's curved profile with the Slaughter finish in CS2. Its Anodized Multicolored finish uses metallic paints beneath a red coating rather than relying on a single flat color. Pale bands, bright red areas and dark burgundy sections create a busy blade face with strong contrast. The ivory-gray grip, gold-toned fasteners and large finger ring give the handle a separate visual identity. This combination suits players who prefer an expressive blade while keeping the grip relatively restrained. Standard and StatTrak copies offer different ownership options without changing the finish's core design. For a specific purchase, compare the listed float value, exterior and visible finish instead of relying on the skin name alone.

History and Origin

★ Talon Knife | Slaughter arrived on August 1, 2018, alongside the Horizon Case. Its release was part of the "Horizon Case Skins" update. Valve created the skin, rather than a community designer. The Danger Zone Case also contains this finish, giving it another case-opening route beyond its original release container. Both source cases stopped dropping when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing Horizon Case and Danger Zone Case containers can still be bought on the market. Those containers remain usable for openings, so retired case drops do not mean the knife is unavailable. Today, buying an existing knife on the Steam Community Market or trading with another player provides an alternative to opening cases.

Finish Style

Slaughter uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, combining a metallic pattern with a red topcoat. Aluminum and chrome paints create differing reflectivity across the underlying zebra-like design. On the curved blade, broad angular bands appear in pale pink, bright red and dark burgundy. The overall tomato-red color keeps these contrasting sections within a cohesive palette rather than making them look like unrelated accents. A narrow silver cutting edge traces the blade's inner curve and separates it visually from the painted face. Three round holes and short spine teeth sit near the handle, adding detail to the blade's outline. The handle panels are pale ivory-gray, with fine mottling instead of the blade's large bands. Small gold-toned fasteners and a circular emblem provide additional detail across the grip. Red metal remains visible around the handle edges and finger ring, connecting the mostly plain grip to the busy blade.

Float Value

The float value of ★ Talon Knife | Slaughter ranges from 0.01 to 0.26. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested. StatTrak versions are available, while cosmetic condition should be assessed separately through the float and item inspection.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Talon Knife | Slaughter has the Covert rarity grade. Its drop chance from the Horizon Case is 0.0049%, making a case opening an uncertain route to this specific knife. Professional player dupreeh has owned the skin, providing a documented ownership example without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Tomato-red blade with bold, angular zebra-like bands

• Pale handle contrasts with the busy blade pattern

• Curved profile with a prominent finger ring

• StatTrak availability alongside standard versions

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Talon Knife | Slaughter is $435.88 to $1,180.38. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested listings by their individual asking prices and float values. Standard and StatTrak copies should also be checked separately rather than assumed to share the same price. Inspect the actual item before deciding which listing offers the preferred balance of appearance and cost.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Horizon Case or Danger Zone Case for a chance at this finish. The Horizon Case chance is 0.0049%, so an opening does not guarantee this knife. Neither case receives new drops, but existing containers can still be bought and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing ★ Talon Knife | Slaughter listing on the Steam Community Market to choose a specific exterior and version. Check its float value and StatTrak status before purchasing, rather than treating every copy as interchangeable.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player for an existing copy instead of relying on a random case result. Confirm the offered knife's exterior, float value and StatTrak status before agreeing to the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired case drops restrict replenishment of unopened source cases, although existing case openings can still add knives to circulation. Available listings include Field-Tested, Minimal Wear and StatTrak Field-Tested copies, while dupreeh's ownership does not establish broad demand or a price trend. Before deciding to buy, sell or trade, compare the exact version, float and current asking prices rather than assuming easy resale.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Both source cases have retired drop status

• Distinctive red blade and ivory-colored handle

• Standard and StatTrak versions offer ownership choices

• Documented ownership by dupreeh

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired source-case drops, distinctive styling and documented professional ownership. The main risk is uncertain future demand, while existing case openings can still increase knife supply. These factors do not establish a rising price trend or promise resale gains.
