MP5-SD | Kitbash

MP5-SD | Kitbash is a CS2 SMG skin with a deliberately patched-together Gunsmith finish. Dark blue and black surfaces meet bright yellow accents, printed wraps and mismatched markings. The look suits players who prefer improvised, workshop-style equipment over a uniform paint job. All exteriors are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

MP5-SD | Kitbash gives the silenced SMG a custom finish built around mismatched parts and makeshift repairs. The weapon's integrated suppressor becomes a prominent part of the design, carrying broad wraps rather than a plain surface. Its dark receiver contrasts with the yellow stock section and suppressor tip, making the accents easy to distinguish. Pale markings and fragments of lettering add detail without forming a uniform pattern across the weapon. The magazine and pistol grip have their own printed elements, extending the design beyond the main body. This finish suits loadouts centered on utilitarian textures, contrasting colors and deliberately untidy details. Buyers can compare exterior, float value and version to narrow down the available copies. Inspecting an individual listing also helps players judge how the receiver markings, magazine patches and suppressor wraps look together before buying or trading.

History and Origin

MP5-SD | Kitbash was released on August 6, 2020. It arrived with the Fracture Case in the Fracture Case Skins update. The skin belongs to The Fracture Collection, which also supplies the eligible inputs for its collection-specific trade-up route. Its designer is not identified. The design concept combines elements from MP5 designs spanning 20 years into an intentionally improvised custom paint job. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the Fracture Case no longer drops, although existing cases can still be purchased and opened. Current acquisition also includes direct market purchases, player trades and eligible trade-up contracts, keeping the skin obtainable despite the case's retired drop status.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish uses tape-like strips, ties and mismatched markings to create the impression of an assembled, repaired weapon. Dark blue and black cover the receiver, with pale markings breaking up those darker surfaces. Bright yellow appears on the stock's rear section and the suppressor tip, giving the design clear points of contrast. The long black suppressor carries broad white and gray wraps that emphasize its length. Fragments of black lettering sit alongside narrow yellow bands near the receiver, adding to the improvised treatment. Angular white, gray and black patches cover the magazine, with a red stripe positioned near its base. Pale printed material wraps the pistol grip, where a red circular symbol overlaps black marks. Rather than relying on a continuous motif, the finish connects these separate details through its busy, patched-together visual character.

Float Value

MP5-SD | Kitbash has a float range of 0.00 to 0.80. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, covering the full set of exterior labels. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, but those version labels are separate from the skin's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MP5-SD | Kitbash is a Restricted SMG skin from The Fracture Collection. Its chance of appearing from a Fracture Case opening is 3.2%, making an opening a random acquisition route rather than a direct purchase. SPUNJ, tarik and EliGE own the skin, although professional ownership alone does not establish broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Patched-together styling gives the SMG a distinctive workshop look

• Yellow accents contrast clearly with the dark receiver

• Printed wraps add detail across the suppressor, magazine and grip

• StatTrak and Souvenir options offer additional collecting choices

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for MP5-SD | Kitbash is $0.26 to $7.67. Exterior and float value help distinguish listings, while standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions should be compared separately. Copies within an exterior can have different float values, so the condition label is not the complete description of an item. Inspect listing images for the actual appearance of the magazine patches, suppressor wraps and yellow accents. When choosing what to buy, compare the complete listing rather than treating either overall price bound as a quote for a particular version.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Fracture Case

Existing Fracture Cases can be bought on the market and opened for a chance at this skin. The case no longer drops, so this route draws on remaining cases rather than newly dropped ones. The chance of receiving Kitbash is 3.2%, while buying a specific listing avoids that random result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

Trade up 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Fracture Collection for 1 Restricted skin from the same collection. Kitbash is a possible outcome, but the random result can be another Restricted skin from that collection.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy a listed MP5-SD | Kitbash directly on the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a case opening. Check the item's exterior and version carefully so the purchase matches the intended loadout or collection.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades offer another route to an existing copy of the skin. Compare the offered item's exterior, float and version before agreeing to an exchange. A trade selects a specific copy instead of rolling for a random case or contract outcome.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Fracture Case limits replenishment of unopened case supply, but existing cases and trade-up contracts can still create Kitbash copies. Professional ownership and an accessible price level support its appeal, without proving strong resale demand. Before a buy, sell or trade decision, compare current listings by exterior, float and version; market volume and price trends remain uncertain.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Fracture Case drops

• Ownership by SPUNJ, tarik and EliGE

• Distinctive patched-together finish

• Accessible entry price for a loadout purchase

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions expand collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium, reflecting accessible pricing, professional ownership and a case that no longer receives new drops. Its main risk is continued skin creation through remaining cases and trade-up contracts, without established evidence of sustained buying demand. These factors support a measured purchase decision, not a promise of investment returns.
