MP5-SD | Acid Wash

MP5-SD | Acid Wash is a CS2 SMG skin with mottled metallic blue surfaces, dark lower parts and brass-colored details. Its weathered industrial appearance suits players who prefer textured finishes over bright graphics. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also available.

Description

MP5-SD | Acid Wash gives the silenced CS2 SMG a blue-and-brass finish with an uneven, chemically treated appearance. The weapon's integrated suppressor provides a broad surface for the mottled pattern at the front. Classified as a Gunsmith finish, Acid Wash combines treated metallic surfaces with contrasting hardware. Brown-gray patches and branching lines interrupt the dark blue across the upper receiver and suppressor. The mostly black magazine, grip and stock keep the lower silhouette comparatively restrained. This balance suits loadouts built around dark colors, metallic accents or an industrial aesthetic. Buyers can choose among regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions rather than treating the finish as a single listing type. When comparing copies, exterior, float value and the visible surface pattern are more useful details than the item name alone.

History and Origin

MP5-SD | Acid Wash was released on November 18, 2019, during the Operation Shattered Web update in CS:GO. Its debut included the Shattered Web Case, which provides its case-opening route. Steam Workshop community designer SLIMEface created the finish. The skin belongs to The Shattered Web Collection, connecting its collection identity with that operation-era release. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Shattered Web Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened, so retirement does not remove the opening route. Today, acquiring an existing skin directly through the Steam Community Market or a player trade is separate from opening its original container.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish centers on a metallic blue coating treated with acid before the weapon's components are assembled. Across the suppressor and upper receiver, irregular brown-gray patches break up the blue surface. Thin, branching lines add detail within those mottled areas rather than forming a uniform repeating graphic. Brass-colored accents mark the sights, small fittings and rings around the suppressor and rear receiver. The black fore-end has tightly spaced ribbing and a diagonal groove, adding a different kind of texture. The curved magazine, pistol grip and rear stock parts remain mostly dark gray or black. Lighter edge highlights distinguish these lower components without introducing another dominant color. The result contrasts busy upper surfaces with comparatively plain lower parts, giving the finish its distinctive industrial character.

Float Value

MP5-SD | Acid Wash has a float range of 0.00 to 0.68. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of those exterior categories is missing. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available, but version choice is separate from cosmetic condition and should be checked alongside the listing's float.

Rarity and Popularity

MP5-SD | Acid Wash is a Mil-Spec Grade skin in The Shattered Web Collection. Its stated chance from the Shattered Web Case is 11.42%, which applies to obtaining the skin rather than selecting a particular exterior. Known professional owners include mixwell, Hiko and Skadoodle, providing ownership context without establishing current demand or future resale performance.

Why it’s Popular:

• Mottled metallic blue gives the upper surfaces a distinctive texture

• Brass details contrast with the dark receiver and lower parts

• Every exterior category is available

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden the choice of versions

Price Range

The live MP5-SD | Acid Wash price range is $0.67 to $40.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred listings by their actual float values and inspection images. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should be checked separately so the chosen listing matches the intended version. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match those details before deciding which copy to buy or what price to request when selling.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Shattered Web Case

Opening the Shattered Web Case offers an 11.42% chance of obtaining Acid Wash, not a guaranteed result. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct purchase route for MP5-SD | Acid Wash without opening a case. Check the listing's exterior and version, then inspect its float and appearance before choosing a copy.

4. Trade with Other Players

MP5-SD | Acid Wash can also be acquired by trading with other players. Before agreeing to a swap, confirm that the offered copy has the intended exterior, float and regular, StatTrak or Souvenir version.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Shattered Web Case receives no new drops, although opening existing cases can still add Acid Wash skins to circulation. Professional ownership gives the finish visibility, but it does not establish sustained buying demand or a rising resale price. For buy, sell and trade decisions, compare matching versions and inspect floats rather than assuming the skin-wide price range describes every copy equally.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Shattered Web Case drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive blue-and-brass Gunsmith finish

• Multiple exteriors and collectible version options

MP5-SD | Acid Wash receives a medium investment rating, balancing its retired case source, modest price level and documented professional ownership. Its main risk is that existing case openings can keep adding skins without evidence of sustained demand growth. It is better assessed as a specific cosmetic purchase than as a promise of investment returns.
