Short Description

★ Classic Knife | Slaughter is a CS2 knife skin with a tomato-red, zebra-striped blade. Burgundy bands and pink-red patches sit beside a bright silver cutting edge. The dark textured handle suits players who prefer vivid color concentrated on the blade. Factory New, Minimal Wear, and Field-Tested copies are available in regular and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Classic Knife | Slaughter applies a layered red finish to the Classic Knife, keeping its handle visually subdued. Its metallic stripe treatment gives the blade more variation than a uniform red coating. The underlying weapon design uses a precisely fitted Stellite cutting edge against titanium on the blade's cheek and spine. Its handle construction pairs fossilized mastodon ivory with a carbon-fiber pocket, while the visible grip remains dark and textured. The contrast between the patterned blade and restrained hardware suits players who want a colorful knife without an equally bright handle. Its red palette also fits loadouts built around similar colors, with curved and angular markings providing visual detail. Regular copies emphasize the finish itself, while StatTrak versions offer a kill-counter option. Buyers can compare exterior, float value, and version before inspecting the appearance of a particular listing.

History and Origin

★ Classic Knife | Slaughter was released on October 18, 2019, alongside the CS20 Case. The accompanying update was titled CS20 Case Skins. Valve created the skin, rather than a community designer. The case's supply status changed when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the CS20 Case no longer drops, so that route does not replenish its supply. Existing containers can still be bought and opened, meaning retirement did not remove the knife's case-opening route. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing copy through marketplace listings or player trades without opening a case.

Finish Style

Slaughter uses an Anodized Multicolored finish built around a red-coated metallic stripe pattern. Aluminum and chrome paints create differing reflectivity beneath the tomato-red candy coating. In the inventory view, darker burgundy bands and lighter pink-red patches break up the blade's red base. The irregular zebra-like shapes mix curves with angular overlaps across most of the blade. A bright silver cutting edge follows the blade's curve toward its pointed tip, bordering the painted surface. The dark gray metal guard separates that busy treatment from the handle. The dark olive-gray grip has a dense diamond texture and visible fasteners instead of continuing the red stripes. A gray metal pommel caps the handle and includes a circular hole. Together, the muted hardware and exposed silver edge keep the strongest color concentrated on the blade.

Float Value

The float value of ★ Classic Knife | Slaughter ranges from 0.01 to 0.26. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, and Field-Tested, with no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred exterior. Regular and StatTrak versions exist, but there is no Souvenir version; these options are separate from the knife's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Classic Knife | Slaughter has the Covert rarity grade. The chance of obtaining this finish from the CS20 Case is 0.02%, making case opening an uncertain acquisition route. FalleN, pashaBiceps, and Patsi have owned the skin, establishing professional ownership without measuring broader demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Tomato-red blade with layered, zebra-like metallic patterns

• Bright silver edge contrasts with the dark textured handle

• StatTrak availability alongside regular versions

• Owned by FalleN, pashaBiceps, and Patsi

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Classic Knife | Slaughter is $150.00 to $406.62. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare Factory New, Minimal Wear, and Field-Tested listings separately, then use float value to distinguish copies within each exterior. Check whether a listing is regular or StatTrak before comparing its asking price with another copy. Inspect the blade and listing details before deciding which knife to buy or what price to seek when selling.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the CS20 Case

Open a CS20 Case for a chance to obtain this knife; the chance for this finish is 0.02%. The case no longer drops, but existing containers can still be bought and opened, without guaranteeing a Slaughter result.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market offers a route to buy ★ Classic Knife | Slaughter through an existing listing. Choose the exterior and regular or StatTrak version carefully, rather than relying on the finish name alone.

4. Trade with Other Players

★ Classic Knife | Slaughter can also be acquired through a trade with another player. Confirm the offered knife's exterior, float value, and StatTrak status before agreeing, since its name alone does not identify its condition.

Trading and Investment Considerations

With no new CS20 Case drops, opening existing cases reduces container supply but can still add copies of this knife. Professional ownership offers visibility, but it does not establish how quickly a listing will sell or where prices will move. For a buy, sell, or trade decision, compare exterior, float, and StatTrak status rather than treating every copy as interchangeable.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new CS20 Case drops replenish the container supply

• Covert grade with a 0.02% opening chance

• Distinctive tomato-red blade and contrasting silver edge

• Professional ownership by FalleN, pashaBiceps, and Patsi

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, reflecting retired case supply, Covert rarity, and professional ownership. The main risk is uncertain future demand while existing cases can still produce additional knives, so these factors do not promise appreciation.
