Classic Knife | Case Hardened

★ Classic Knife | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a colorful Patina finish. Its mottled blade combines gold, yellow, blue, purple, and brown against a subdued, textured handle. The look suits players who want color concentrated on the blade rather than across the entire knife. Every exterior is available, alongside standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Classic Knife | Case Hardened applies a multicolored finish to the Classic Knife, pairing an irregular blade pattern with a restrained grip. Warm gold and brown patches share the blade with cooler blue and purple areas. A bright silver cutting edge provides a distinct boundary beneath the colored blade face. The dark brown-gray handle adds diamond-patterned texture and visible round fasteners without repeating the blade's vivid palette. This combination suits loadouts where the knife provides the main splash of color. The underlying weapon design uses a precisely fitted Stellite cutting edge alongside titanium at the blade's cheek and spine. Its handle construction incorporates fossilized mastodon ivory held within a carbon-fiber pocket. Buyers can compare exterior, float value, StatTrak status, and listing images to choose a copy that matches their cosmetic preferences.

History and Origin

★ Classic Knife | Case Hardened was released on October 18, 2019. Its debut accompanied the CS20 Case Skins update. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. The CS20 Case was its original container and remains the case used to obtain the finish through opening. The underlying Classic Knife design has roots in the Counter-Strike series, separate from this finish's release date. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new CS20 Case drops. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, so that retirement did not eliminate the original acquisition route. Today, direct purchases on the Steam Community Market and trades with other players offer alternatives to opening the case.

Finish Style

The Case Hardened Patina finish represents metal coloring produced through intense heat and wood charcoal. On the pictured blade, pale gold and yellow occupy much of the middle, giving the central area a warm appearance. Blue and purple gather near the tip and along the upper edge rather than forming a uniform coating. Brown patches contribute to the irregular, mottled arrangement across the blade face. A bright silver strip follows the curved cutting edge, contrasting with the colored areas above it. Short serrations interrupt the spine close to the handle. The dark gray guard leads into a brown-gray, diamond-textured grip with visible round fasteners. A circular hole in the pommel completes the handle, whose subdued coloring keeps attention on the blade.

Float Value

The float value of ★ Classic Knife | Case Hardened ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior grades is missing. Standard and StatTrak versions are available; version availability is separate from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Classic Knife | Case Hardened has the Covert rarity grade. Its chance of being obtained from the CS20 Case is 0.02%. Professional players HUNDEN and chelo have owned the finish, providing documented ownership without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gold, blue, and purple give the blade a varied palette

• Subdued handle keeps attention on the colorful blade

• Every exterior grade offers a different cosmetic condition option

• StatTrak availability adds a counter-equipped version

Price Range

The live ★ Classic Knife | Case Hardened price range is $106.17 to $1,110.22. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than fixed exterior or version categories. Compare standard and StatTrak listings separately, noting each copy's exterior and float value. Listing images also matter because the blade's color placement is central to the appeal of this finish. When comparing the CS2 skin price, match the listed condition, version, and appearance to the knife being considered before buying.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the CS20 Case

Open the CS20 Case for a 0.02% chance of obtaining this finish. The case no longer drops, but existing containers can still be purchased on the market and opened. This route provides a chance at the knife rather than a direct purchase of a chosen copy.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy ★ Classic Knife | Case Hardened on the Steam Community Market by selecting an available listing. Compare its exterior, float value, and StatTrak status before committing to a purchase. Check the pictured blade as well, particularly when a specific color arrangement matters to the intended loadout.

4. Trade with Other Players

The finish can also be obtained by trading with other players. Confirm the offered item's name, exterior, float value, and StatTrak status against the copy being discussed. Inspect the blade's appearance before accepting, especially when gold, blue, or purple placement is an important part of the choice.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired CS20 Case receives no new drops, although existing cases can still produce additional knives when opened. Professional ownership offers some visibility, but it should not be treated as proof of reliable demand or quick resale. Anyone planning to buy, sell, or trade should compare exterior, float, StatTrak status, and appearance rather than relying on the finish name alone.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired CS20 Case receives no new drops

• Covert rarity with a 0.02% case-opening chance

• Documented ownership by HUNDEN and chelo

• Distinctive multicolor patina with StatTrak options

The investment outlook is medium, supported by the retired case source, low opening chance, and documented professional ownership. The main risk is uncertain resale demand: existing cases can still add knives, and rarity alone does not guarantee price appreciation.
