Survival Knife | Rust Coat

The ★ Survival Knife | Rust Coat is a CS2 knife skin with a weathered Patina finish. Its silver-gray blade carries orange-brown rust, contrasting with a dark charcoal handle. The subdued appearance suits players who prefer rough metal textures over bright colors or decorative artwork. It comes in Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with regular and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

The ★ Survival Knife | Rust Coat applies a corroded metal finish to the Survival Knife's multi-purpose tactical shape. Its broad blade combines a long slot, a hooked notch, and serrations near the base. Orange-brown rust breaks up the silver-gray surface instead of forming a regular decorative pattern. The curved charcoal handle keeps the overall palette restrained, with ridges and visible fasteners adding detail. This combination suits loadouts built around muted colors and weathered equipment rather than polished surfaces. The finish is cosmetic, with the knife's concept presenting it as operational despite its rusted exterior. Professional players f0rest and Twistzz own the skin, giving buyers a supported connection to professional inventories without implying an endorsement. Buyers can compare the available exteriors, exact float values, and regular or StatTrak versions before choosing a listing.

History and Origin

The skin entered CS2 on March 31, 2025. Its introduction came with the Fever Case during the Spring 2025 Skins update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. Its background presents the knife as a surviving keepsake from Siege, with exterior corrosion rather than a loss of function. As of October 9, 2026, the Fever Case was available through the Armory pass, not through weekly drops. Opening that case remains an acquisition route for the skin, but a particular result is not guaranteed. Direct purchases on the Steam Community Market offer an alternative to obtaining it through a case opening. Player-to-player trading also allows existing copies to change hands, separate from the skin's original release route.

Finish Style

Rust Coat uses a Patina finish centered on mottled metal rather than painted graphics. Silver-gray areas remain visible across the broad blade, interrupted by orange-brown corrosion. The rust extends across the blade face and appears near the handle. Dense, uneven speckling gives the surface a rough visual texture without a repeating decorative motif. A long slot cuts through the blade and adds an open shape within the weathered metal. The hooked notch on the spine and serrations near the base reinforce the knife's utilitarian profile. Its curved charcoal handle has recessed panels, raised ridges, and visible hex-nut fasteners securing it to the blade. The relatively plain handle contrasts with the textured steel, keeping attention on the rusted blade rather than bright accents.

Float Value

The ★ Survival Knife | Rust Coat has an exact float range of 0.40 to 1.00. Its only available exteriors are Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Both available exteriors can be found in regular and StatTrak versions, while no Souvenir version exists; version availability is separate from the copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The knife has the Covert rarity grade, which is separate from its exterior and float value. Its opening chance from the Fever Case is 0.0091%, making a case opening an uncertain route to this specific finish. Ownership by f0rest and Twistzz provides a professional-inventory connection, but does not establish market demand or future price performance.

Why it’s Popular:

• Orange-brown rust against silver-gray steel

• Subdued colors for weathered loadouts

• Distinctive hooked blade and serrated details

• Regular and StatTrak versions available

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range is $35.44 to $121.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than quoting a particular exterior or version. Buyers should check each listing's Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred exterior and exact float value before comparing asking prices. Regular and StatTrak copies should be considered separately, without assuming their prices follow a fixed relationship. When buying or selling, the selected listing's condition and version provide a more useful comparison than the overall range alone.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Fever Case

Open the Fever Case for a chance to obtain this finish. As of October 9, 2026, the case was available through the Armory pass rather than weekly drops. The skin's opening chance is 0.0091%, so this route does not guarantee the desired knife.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The ★ Survival Knife | Rust Coat can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market. Buyers can choose between listed copies rather than relying on a Fever Case opening. The exterior, exact float, and presence of StatTrak should be checked before comparing listings.

4. Trade with Other Players

The skin can also be obtained through trades with other players. The offered copy should be checked for its exterior, float value, and regular or StatTrak version. A trade exchanges an existing item, so it does not depend on receiving the knife from a case.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Armory availability gives the Fever Case an ongoing acquisition route, so its supply should not be treated as retired. Professional ownership supports visibility, but sustained demand, price growth, and resale speed remain uncertain. Traders should compare Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred copies by exact float and StatTrak status before deciding whether to buy, sell, or trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Low Fever Case opening chance

• Ownership by f0rest and Twistzz

• Distinctive rusted blade and dark tactical handle

• StatTrak option alongside regular copies

The investment rating is medium, supported by the low opening chance, distinctive finish, and ownership by f0rest and Twistzz. The main risk is uncertain resale demand while the Fever Case remains obtainable through the Armory pass, with no established price trend supporting predictable appreciation.
