Survival Knife | Case Hardened

The ★ Survival Knife | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a reflective, multicolored blade and a dark composite handle. Irregular blue, purple, pink, and gold patches contrast with its angular cutouts and serrated section. The look suits players who prefer colorful metal finishes paired with a restrained grip. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with standard and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

The ★ Survival Knife | Case Hardened applies a colorful Patina finish to a multipurpose tactical knife in CS2. Its defining feature is an uneven metallic pattern rather than a uniform painted surface. The dark composite handle keeps attention on the blade and provides a contrasting background for its brighter colors. The Survival Knife model combines a serrated section with a sharp gutting hook, adding distinctive shapes around the finish. Hex-nut fittings secure the handle, while recessed panels and a ridged edge contribute to its angular appearance. This design suits loadouts that favor a busy blade without extending the same color treatment across the grip. Professional players DANK1NG and rox are documented owners of the skin. Buyers can compare exterior condition, exact float value, StatTrak status, and the visible color placement when choosing a copy.

History and Origin

The ★ Survival Knife | Case Hardened debuted in CS:GO on November 18, 2019. Its release accompanied the Operation Shattered Web update, placing its origins before its current availability in CS2. The Shattered Web Case was its original case source. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. The Fracture Case also offers an opening route to this knife, separate from its original release case. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops for both source cases. As of October 9, 2026, existing Shattered Web Case and Fracture Case supplies can still be bought on the market and opened. Current buyers can also obtain an existing knife directly through marketplace listings or player-to-player trades instead of pursuing a case opening.

Finish Style

Case Hardened uses the Patina finish style, giving the blade a colorful metallic appearance rather than a solid painted coating. Its coloration comes from a high-temperature treatment involving wood charcoal. Irregular patches of blue, cyan, purple, pink, and pale gold cover the reflective surface. In the pictured pattern, blue and purple are strongest near the tip, creating a cooler-colored upper section. Pale gold and yellow occupy much of the middle and lower blade, breaking up the darker tones. The long slot, angular spine cutout, and serrated section interrupt the mottled color field with the knife's structural details. The charcoal handle has recessed geometric panels and a ridged upper edge, keeping its texture separate from the blade's color pattern. Two visible circular fasteners punctuate the mostly plain grip, reinforcing the contrast between the dark handle and the busy metal finish.

Float Value

The ★ Survival Knife | Case Hardened has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of these exterior categories is excluded. Standard and StatTrak versions are available; version choice is separate from exterior condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Survival Knife | Case Hardened has the Covert rarity grade. Its chance from the Shattered Web Case is 0.0049%, making that specific opening outcome uncommon. Existing copies remain obtainable through marketplaces and trades, so its rarity does not prevent direct acquisition.

Why it’s Popular:

• Reflective blue, purple, pink, and gold blade colors

• Dark handle contrasts with the busy metallic pattern

• Distinctive serrations, blade slot, and angular cutout

• StatTrak availability alongside the standard version

• Documented ownership by DANK1NG and rox

Price Range

The live ★ Survival Knife | Case Hardened price range is $73.46 to $1,347.45. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a particular exterior or version. Standard and StatTrak listings should be compared separately, with exterior and exact float value checked together. Inspect the blade's visible color arrangement instead of relying on the exterior label alone. When comparing CS2 skin prices to buy, sell, or trade, match those item details before judging a listing.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Shattered Web Case or Fracture Case for a chance at this knife. The Shattered Web Case chance is 0.0049%, so opening a case does not secure this specific finish. Neither case receives new drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy a listed ★ Survival Knife | Case Hardened on the Steam Community Market to select an existing copy directly. Check its exterior, float value, and StatTrak status before purchasing. This route targets the knife itself rather than a random case outcome.

4. Trade with Other Players

Obtain the skin through a player-to-player exchange using items another player accepts. Confirm the full item name, exterior, float value, and StatTrak status before agreeing, and inspect the blade colors on the actual copy.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Both source cases have stopped receiving new drops, although existing cases can still introduce additional knives through openings. Professional ownership offers evidence of interest, but it does not establish reliable resale demand or a price trend. Traders should compare standard and StatTrak copies by exterior, float, and appearance rather than assume every listing has the same appeal.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases limit future case replenishment

• Low Shattered Web Case acquisition odds

• Documented professional ownership

• Distinctive multicolored metallic finish

• StatTrak options broaden the available collecting choices

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired case sources, low Shattered Web Case odds, and documented professional ownership. These factors support collecting appeal without proving future price growth. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, while remaining case supplies can still produce additional copies.
