Stiletto Knife | Rust Coat

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Rust Coat is a CS2 knife skin with a narrow, rust-mottled blade. Brown and orange corrosion contrasts with gray metal and brighter areas along the edge and tip. Its weathered look suits players who prefer visible patina over decorative artwork. It comes in Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with standard and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Rust Coat applies a Patina finish to an Italian-style switchblade in CS2. Its slender blade and pointed tip give the rust treatment a narrow, clearly defined surface. The knife's design includes a spring-loaded blade operated by a release catch. Corrosion forms the visual theme, while the knife remains functional rather than appearing as an unusable relic. Brown-orange patches interrupt the gray blade, and similar discoloration continues onto the handle and fittings. This finish suits loadouts built around muted metal tones, weathered surfaces and restrained decoration. The exterior label describes condition, while StatTrak is a separate version choice. Buyers can compare the visible rust distribution, float value and version when selecting an individual copy.

History and Origin

The knife was introduced in CS:GO on March 13, 2019, alongside the Prisma Case. Its release formed part of the "Prisma Case Skins" update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. The Prisma 2 Case also contains this knife, providing another case-opening route. As of October 9, 2026, neither source case receives new drops. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops for both cases. Existing Prisma and Prisma 2 cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Finished skins also remain obtainable through the Steam Community Market and trades, independently of new case drops.

Finish Style

Rust Coat uses a Patina finish centered on uneven corrosion rather than decorative graphics. The narrow blade has a gray base broken up by irregular brown and orange patches. Lighter silver-gray areas remain visible along the cutting edge and around the pointed tip. The handle carries dark brown-gray tones with orange rust mottling across its surface. A bright silver-gray end cap contrasts with the darker handle. The guard, circular button, pins and smaller fittings combine gray metal with brown discoloration. Across these parts, the mottled finish creates an irregular appearance without artwork or lettering. Its visual character comes from the contrast between exposed metal and rust, not from a repeated illustrated motif.

Float Value

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Rust Coat has a float range of 0.40 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no Factory New, Minimal Wear or Field-Tested versions. Standard and StatTrak™ versions are available, but there is no Souvenir version.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Rust Coat has the Covert rarity grade. Its chance of appearing from the Prisma Case is 0.0091%, an opening probability that does not describe marketplace availability. Professional player f0rest owns the skin.

Why it’s Popular:

• Brown-orange rust gives the narrow blade a distinctive weathered appearance

• Muted metal colors suit understated loadouts

• Bright blade edges contrast with the darker corrosion

• StatTrak options accommodate players who prefer a tracked version

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range is $118.60 to $325.45. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred and StatTrak listings should be compared as distinct options. Individual float values and the visible balance of gray metal and rust help distinguish copies within those options. Buyers should compare matching versions, while sellers should use similar exteriors and floats as references rather than treating every Rust Coat listing as interchangeable.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Prisma Case or Prisma 2 Case for a chance at this knife. Neither case receives new drops, but existing cases can still be purchased and opened. The Rust Coat's chance from the Prisma Case is 0.0091%, so a case opening does not secure this finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Rust Coat can be bought on the Steam Community Market. Check whether a listing is Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred and whether it includes StatTrak. Compare the individual float and visible finish rather than relying on the exterior label alone.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades offer another way to obtain the knife in exchange for other items. Confirm the exact skin, exterior, float value and StatTrak status before accepting an offer. Compare the offered copy with similar listings to assess the trade without assuming all Rust Coat variants have equal value.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Both source cases are retired from drops, although remaining cases can still produce additional copies when opened. Ownership by f0rest provides a professional-use link, but broader demand and resale speed remain uncertain. Buyers and sellers should compare exterior, float value and StatTrak status before using a listing's asking price as a trade reference.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases receive no new drops

• Recorded ownership by f0rest

• StatTrak variants provide another collecting option

• Distinctive patina suits weathered knife loadouts

The investment rating is medium, supported by retired source cases, StatTrak availability and ownership by f0rest. Existing cases can still produce the knife, and uncertain demand makes future resale performance difficult to assess. Its distinctive appearance supports consideration as a play knife, but it should not be treated as a dependable short-term flip.
