Stiletto Knife | Boreal Forest

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Boreal Forest is a CS2 knife skin pairing a narrow switchblade with forest camouflage. Olive, khaki, and brown patches cover the blade, while the handle has a quieter olive-gray appearance. Its subdued palette suits woodland-themed and earth-toned loadouts. It comes in Factory New through Battle-Scarred, with standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Boreal Forest is a Covert CS2 knife skin with a slim profile and a Hydrographic camouflage finish. The weapon follows an Italian-style stiletto design rather than a broad-bladed knife shape. Its spring-loaded blade is deployed through a release catch, giving the model its switchblade character. The finish combines irregular woodland markings with a visible silver cutting edge. More pattern detail appears on the blade and handle ends, leaving the handle's center relatively restrained. This balance suits players who prefer muted equipment colors without an entirely plain knife. Standard and StatTrak versions offer a choice between the regular item and a kill-tracking option. Buyers can compare exterior, float value, and the camouflage shown in each listing's inspection image before selecting a copy.

History and Origin

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Boreal Forest was released on August 1, 2018, alongside the Horizon Case. Its introduction belonged to the Horizon Case Skins update. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. The underlying weapon draws on an Italian-style stiletto switchblade, while Boreal Forest gives it a woodland camouflage treatment. The Danger Zone Case also contains this knife finish, providing another case-opening route. Both source cases stopped dropping when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Their retired status does not prevent existing cases from being bought on the market and opened. Current acquisition therefore includes opening remaining case stock, purchasing an existing knife, or arranging a player-to-player trade.

Finish Style

Boreal Forest uses a Hydrographic finish to apply forest camouflage across the knife's visible surfaces. Olive green, khaki, muted yellow-green, and dark brown form irregular patches along the long, narrow blade. A thin bright silver cutting edge remains visible beneath the pattern, giving the blade a distinct metallic outline. The handle is mostly muted olive-gray, with scattered green spots interrupting its relatively plain center. Camouflage becomes busier near the guard and butt, rather than maintaining an even density across the handle. The guard and circular fasteners carry olive and yellow-green tones that connect them visually to the surrounding finish. A narrow dark slot runs along the handle and contrasts with those subdued colors. Together, the patterned blade and quieter handle create a woodland look that works naturally with earth-toned equipment.

Float Value

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Boreal Forest has a float range of 0.06 to 0.80. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, covering the full exterior lineup within that range. Standard and StatTrak versions exist; version availability is separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Stiletto Knife | Boreal Forest carries the Covert rarity grade. Its chance of appearing from the Horizon Case is 0.0049%, a figure that should not be applied to the Danger Zone Case. Both source cases are retired from drops, although existing cases can still be opened to obtain the knife.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted forest colors suit earth-toned loadouts

• Narrow switchblade profile gives the camouflage a distinctive shape

• Silver cutting edge contrasts with the painted blade

• Standard and StatTrak versions support different preferences

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range is $111.12 to $426.88. These bounds cover the whole item, not a particular exterior or version. Compare each listing's exterior and exact float value rather than treating every copy within a wear tier as interchangeable. Standard and StatTrak copies are available, so check the version alongside condition instead of identifying it from price alone. Inspect the pictured camouflage before deciding whether a listing fits a loadout, collection, or planned trade.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open either the Horizon Case or the Danger Zone Case for a chance at this knife. Neither case receives new drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. The Horizon Case chance is 0.0049%, so opening a case does not ensure this result.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing copy on the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a case-opening result. Check the listing's exterior, float value, and whether it is standard or StatTrak. An inspection image also helps confirm that the knife's appearance matches the buyer's preference.

4. Trade with Other Players

Arrange a player-to-player trade for an existing ★ Stiletto Knife | Boreal Forest. Confirm the exact item, exterior, float value, and StatTrak status before accepting, and inspect the copy rather than relying only on its inventory name.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Both source cases no longer receive drops, but unopened stock can still produce additional copies of the knife. Demand and future resale prices remain uncertain, so case retirement alone is not a reason to assume appreciation. Before buying, selling, or trading, compare the actual float value, exterior, and StatTrak status against current listings.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases receive no new drops

• Low Horizon Case odds support collectibility

• Standard and StatTrak versions offer different ownership options

• Forest camouflage gives the finish a distinct visual identity

The investment rating is medium, reflecting retired source cases and rare Horizon Case results without assuming strong resale demand. The main risk is uncertain demand, while unopened cases can still add knife copies to the market.
