Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened

★ Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a mottled metallic finish on an Italian-style switchblade. Pale gold and yellow contrast with blue-gray patches, while colorful fittings frame the darker handle. Its look suits players who prefer varied metal tones over printed artwork. All exteriors are available, with standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened brings a multicolored Patina finish to the Stiletto Knife in CS2. The underlying weapon has a spring-loaded blade operated through a release catch. Its Case Hardened treatment gives the metal an unevenly mottled appearance rather than a printed graphic. Blue and violet details around the guard contrast with the warmer blade and darker handle. The design suits loadouts built around metallic colors without text, symbols, or illustrated artwork. Standard and StatTrak versions offer different ownership options while retaining the same finish identity. Listing images help buyers assess the visible balance of warm and cool colors before choosing a copy. When comparing items to buy, sell, or trade, consider the exterior, exact float value, and version alongside the asking price.

History and Origin

★ Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened debuted on August 1, 2018, with the Horizon Case. Its release formed part of the Horizon Case Skins update. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. The design applies the Case Hardened treatment to an Italian-style stiletto switchblade, connecting its metallic appearance with that distinctive weapon form. The Danger Zone Case also provides a case-opening route for this finish. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, neither source case drops, although existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Current acquisition also includes direct marketplace purchases and player-to-player trades, separate from the original case release.

Finish Style

Case Hardened uses a Patina finish, with its color treatment produced through high temperatures and wood charcoal. Pale gold and yellow dominate the visible blade, giving it a predominantly warm appearance. Irregular gray-blue patches interrupt that surface without forming a distinct illustrated design. Darker brown coloration appears near the blade's base, adding a deeper tone beside the guard. Bright blue, violet, and pale silver patches cover the guard and metal fittings at both ends of the handle. The handle combines a dark brown-gray surface, mottled orange-brown areas, and a thin gold-toned border. Circular pins and a narrow recessed slot remain visible along the handle. Together, these details create a metallic, unevenly mottled finish without text, making the color placement the main visual feature to inspect in listing images.

Float Value

The float value of ★ Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so buyers can compare the complete exterior range. StatTrak versions are available, while the exterior and exact float describe condition separately from the version.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened has the Covert rarity grade, which is separate from its exterior condition. Its drop chance from the Horizon Case is 0.0049%, a figure that should not be applied to the Danger Zone Case. Professional player frozen owns the skin.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gold and yellow blade tones contrast with cooler metallic patches

• Colorful guard and fittings complement the darker handle

• Mottled metal styling without text or illustrated artwork

• All exteriors and optional StatTrak versions

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened is $185.47 to $3,709.41. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a guaranteed price for any particular exterior or version. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred listings, then check the exact float rather than relying on the exterior name alone. Evaluate standard and StatTrak copies separately so the version remains part of the comparison. Inspect the displayed color distribution and compare similar listings before choosing a copy for a loadout or trade.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Horizon Case or Danger Zone Case for a chance at this finish. Neither case receives new drops, but existing cases can still be purchased and opened. The Horizon Case chance is 0.0049%, making this a chance-based route rather than a way to select a particular knife.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy ★ Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened on the Steam Community Market by choosing an available listing. Check the exterior and whether the copy is standard or StatTrak before comparing its asking price. Direct purchase allows selection of a listed item instead of relying on a case opening.

4. Trade with Other Players

Acquire the knife through a player-to-player trade with someone who owns a copy. Before accepting, verify the exact item, exterior, float, and StatTrak status against the intended deal. Inspect the offered finish to assess whether its balance of gold, blue, and darker tones matches the desired look.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired source cases mean no new case drops, but existing cases can still produce this finish when opened. Ownership by frozen offers a professional ownership example, although it does not establish broad demand or predictable resale speed. Buyers should compare standard and StatTrak versions by float, exterior, visible finish, and asking price rather than assume a profitable flip.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new drops for either source case

• Covert rarity with a low Horizon Case chance

• Standard and StatTrak versions provide collecting options

• Ownership by professional player frozen

The investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired source cases, Covert rarity, and ownership by frozen. The main risk is uncertain demand: existing cases can still add skins, and neither rarity nor professional ownership guarantees a favorable resale.
