About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Quality affects the skin's cosmetic condition and appearance, with exterior condition determined by float value. This knife is available in every exterior, so buyers should compare the specific copy's float and appearance.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is a skin's grade, separate from exterior condition. Blue Steel is Covert, with a 0.0049% chance from the Shattered Web Case.

How much does the ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel cost?

The live range is $177.86 to $1,035.00. These bounds cover the whole item; compare exterior, float and version in individual listings.

Which exteriors does the ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel have?

It comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Its float range is 0.00 to 1.00.

Which cases contain the ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel?

The Shattered Web Case and Fracture Case contain this knife. Neither case receives new drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

Does the ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel have a StatTrak™ version?

Yes, regular and StatTrak™ versions are available across its exterior range. There is no Souvenir version.

Short Description

The ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel is a CS2 knife skin with a restrained, cold-blued finish. Muted blue-gray metal, a pale bevel and dark handle wrapping define its appearance. It suits players who prefer visible blade geometry over printed artwork. All exteriors are available, with regular and StatTrak™ versions but no Souvenir option.

Description

The ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel pairs the Skeleton Knife's open handle construction with a Patina finish in CS2. Its angular blade carries muted blue-gray tones rather than illustrations, lettering or a bright multicolor design. A large round opening above the grip is a central feature of the knife's silhouette. The handle is wrapped in dark bands, with exposed metal visible around the opening and rounded end. That balance of bare metal and wrapping suits subdued inventories built around cool colors. The opening accommodates a finger for stability, while the taped handle is intended to improve grip. Buyers can choose between regular copies and versions with a StatTrak™ counter. When comparing listings, exterior and float help distinguish copies that share the same Blue Steel finish.

History and Origin

The knife finish debuted in CS:GO on November 18, 2019. It arrived with the Shattered Web Case as part of the Operation Shattered Web update. Valve created the skin, rather than a community designer. The Fracture Case provides another case-opening route to this finish. Both source cases stopped receiving drops when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so retirement does not remove that acquisition route. Today, the Steam Community Market offers a direct purchase route without relying on a case-opening result. Player-to-player trades provide another way to acquire an existing copy rather than opening a case.

Finish Style

Blue Steel uses the Patina finish style, with a cold-blued treatment shaping the metal's muted appearance. The blade's main surfaces are blue-gray, while darker charcoal tones run along its upper face. A pale silver-blue bevel contrasts with those darker areas and emphasizes the blade's angular edges. Subtle mottling adds texture across the metal without forming a printed image or lettering. Four small circular holes sit near the blade base. A larger round opening above the grip leaves the skeletonized construction clearly visible. Dark gray bands wrap the handle, while blue-gray metal remains exposed around the opening and rounded end. The segmented grip and angular surfaces supply the detail, giving the finish a restrained, metal-centered character.

Float Value

The ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel has a float value range of 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with none excluded from the range. Regular and StatTrak™ versions are available, but no Souvenir version exists; version choice is separate from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel belongs to the Covert rarity grade. Its chance from the Shattered Web Case is 0.0049%, making a case opening an uncertain acquisition route. Professional players controlez, DANK1NG and yel own the skin, although ownership alone does not establish current buyer demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted blue-gray colors suit understated loadouts

• Angular blade surfaces give the finish visual definition

• Open handle construction creates a distinctive silhouette

• Regular and StatTrak™ versions offer different ownership options

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for the ★ Skeleton Knife | Blue Steel is $177.86 to $1,035.00. These bounds cover the entire item rather than a fixed exterior or version. Individual listings differ by exterior, float value and regular or StatTrak™ status. Compare like-for-like variants before judging whether a listing fits the intended purchase. Inspect the actual knife alongside its price, especially when choosing between available condition grades.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open the Shattered Web Case or Fracture Case for a chance at this knife, rather than a guaranteed result. Its Shattered Web Case drop chance is 0.0049%, so opening a case is not equivalent to buying the finish directly. Neither case receives new drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy the knife directly on the Steam Community Market without opening either case. Compare its exterior, float value and regular or StatTrak™ status before choosing a listing. A direct purchase targets an existing copy of this finish instead of an uncertain case result.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades offer another acquisition route when both parties agree on an exchange. Check the full item name, exterior and StatTrak™ status to confirm the offered version. Inspect its float and appearance before accepting, since the finish name alone does not identify cosmetic condition.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Both source cases are retired from drops, so future openings draw on existing case supplies. Professional ownership adds visibility, but it does not demonstrate broad demand or predictable short-term resale. Before deciding to buy, sell or trade, compare regular and StatTrak™ copies by exterior, float and asking price.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Both source cases no longer receive new drops

• Ownership by controlez, DANK1NG and yel

• Restrained blue-gray finish with distinct blade geometry

• Full exterior range offers several condition choices

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired case supply and professional ownership. Existing cases can still produce additional knives, so retired drops do not mean the skin's supply is fixed. Future buyer demand and resale prices remain uncertain, making returns unpredictable.
