Short Description

P90 | Death Grip is a CS2 SMG skin featuring overlapping pale hands against a muted blue base. Dark outlines and a mostly plain upper assembly give the detailed artwork a clear contrast. The look suits blue loadouts and players who prefer figurative artwork over simple color blocking. It comes in every exterior, with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also available.

Description

P90 | Death Grip brings a layered hand motif to the P90, a compact SMG with a distinctive bullpup shape in CS2. The weapon combines a high-capacity magazine with low recoil, supporting firing while moving. Its Death Grip finish uses hydrographic artwork rather than a plain painted surface. Pale hands cover much of the lower body, while the dark upper assembly keeps the overall silhouette easy to read. Long fingers and palm creases make the subject recognizable even where the illustrations overlap. The muted palette suits players seeking detailed artwork without bright, saturated colors dominating their loadout. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions give buyers different ownership options beyond exterior condition alone. Before buying, selling or trading a copy, compare its exact float, exterior, version and preview image rather than relying only on the finish name.

History and Origin

P90 | Death Grip was released on May 23, 2017, as part of the Operation Hydra update. It arrived in the Operation Hydra Case, which remains its case-opening source. BenH, a Steam Workshop community designer, created the finish. The skin belongs to The Operation Hydra Collection, connecting its collection identity with its original release. The Operation Hydra Case no longer drops following Valve's retirement of the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened, so retirement has not removed that acquisition route. Trade Up Contracts offer another route using qualifying Mil-Spec Grade skins from the same collection. Direct marketplace purchases and player trades provide alternatives for obtaining a chosen copy without relying on a random case or contract result.

Finish Style

The Death Grip finish applies a hydrographic arrangement of overlapping hands to a muted blue foundation. Its main body, grip and stock carry off-white illustrations edged in dark gray. Elongated fingers and folded palm details make the individual hands visible within the dense layering. The artwork follows the curved body panels, giving the lower section and stock a busy visual character. Pale hand shapes also appear on the short barrel against a darker surface. Most of the upper rail, sights and magazine supports remain dark gray or black. A brown, translucent-looking strip along the top magazine adds a separate material accent to the blue-and-off-white palette. Together, the detailed lower artwork and restrained upper components create contrast without relying on a large logo or central emblem.

Float Value

P90 | Death Grip has a float value range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior tier excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, but version choice is separate from the float and exterior that describe cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

P90 | Death Grip is a Restricted skin from The Operation Hydra Collection. Its drop chance from the Operation Hydra Case is 3.2%, or about 1 in 31 drops. Although the case no longer drops, existing cases can still be opened, and the skin remains obtainable through purchases, trades and qualifying contracts.

Why it’s Popular:

• Overlapping hands give the artwork a recognizable subject

• Muted blue and off-white colors suit coordinated loadouts

• Dark upper components balance the densely patterned body

• StatTrak and Souvenir options offer different collecting choices

Price Range

The live P90 | Death Grip price range is $11.89 to $100.50. Exterior, exact float and version help distinguish individual listings within this skin-wide range. Standard copies and StatTrak listings are available across several conditions, so the exterior name alone does not establish a like-for-like comparison. Souvenir availability adds another version to check, but buyers should confirm the actual listing rather than assume it matches a standard copy. Compare the CS2 skin price alongside item details and preview images before choosing a copy to buy or setting an asking price to sell.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Hydra Case

Opening the Operation Hydra Case offers a chance to receive this finish, with a 3.2% drop chance. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This is a random acquisition route rather than a direct purchase of the skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract uses 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Operation Hydra Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Death Grip is a possible result, but selection is random among the collection's Restricted skins. The contract therefore cannot guarantee this particular finish.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market offers a direct route to buy P90 | Death Grip instead of relying on a random case or contract result. Inspect the listing's exterior and version, then check any available float information before purchasing.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades offer another way to obtain a specific copy by exchanging items with another owner. Confirm the P90 finish, exterior, float and version in the offered item before agreeing to the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired case drops limit replenishment of unopened Operation Hydra Cases, but existing cases and Trade Up Contracts remain routes for creating this skin. Available listings include standard and StatTrak copies in several exteriors, making variant-level comparisons more useful than treating every Death Grip as equivalent. Future demand and price direction remain uncertain, so the end of case drops alone does not establish a profitable trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Operation Hydra Case drops

• Distinctive overlapping-hand artwork gives the finish a clear identity

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions provide additional collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by retired case supply and a distinctive finish with multiple collectible versions. Available listings show several exterior and StatTrak options, but evidence of sustained demand or price appreciation is limited. The main risk is assuming reduced case supply will outweigh ongoing skin creation through existing cases and Trade Up Contracts.
