Specialist Gloves | Foundation

★ Specialist Gloves | Foundation is a CS2 glove finish combining pale back panels, dark palms, and sharp orange accents. Textured sections and orange FOUNDATION lettering give the design an industrial character without covering every surface in bright color. The palette suits players building white, black, or orange loadouts. All exterior grades are available, but the gloves have no StatTrak™ or Souvenir versions.

Description

★ Specialist Gloves | Foundation is a cosmetic finish for the Specialist Gloves item in CS2. It combines off-white and pale gray panels with dark finger sections, cuffs, and palms for a strongly contrasted appearance. Orange FOUNDATION lettering gives the finish a clear identifying detail near the knuckles. The patterned backs are visually busier than the padded palms, creating different impressions across viewing angles. Its restrained base colors suit players who want orange accents without an entirely orange glove design. Professional owners include rain, DANK1NG, and XANTARES, providing documented examples of the finish in player inventories. For a particular pair, listing images help buyers assess how the pale panels and orange trim fit their intended loadout. When comparing offers to buy, sell, or trade, the exterior and exact float value should remain tied to that individual pair.

History and Origin

★ Specialist Gloves | Foundation debuted in CS:GO on November 28, 2016. Valve introduced the finish with the Glove Case in the "Glove Case Skins" update. The design was created by Valve rather than a community designer. The gloves are also obtainable through the Operation Hydra Case, providing another case-opening route alongside their original release case. Their flavor text suggests that Tortue drew inspiration from the Asiimov firearm line, presenting the connection as a rumor rather than a confirmed origin. Both source cases stopped dropping when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases remain available to buy and open, so retirement did not remove Foundation from case openings. Buyers can also obtain an existing pair through the Steam Community Market or a player-to-player trade.

Finish Style

The Specialist Gloves' rugged design provides the base for Foundation's off-white, black, and orange color treatment. Off-white and pale gray panels cover portions of the backs, giving the brighter accents a relatively neutral backdrop. Dark gray and black appear across the palms, finger sections, and cuffs, anchoring the lighter upper surfaces. Orange trim follows wrist patches, seams, and segmented finger guards rather than filling the gloves with solid color. A dense, irregular black-and-white texture makes the backs look busier than the surrounding smooth panels. Those smoother pale areas create clear breaks in the pattern and keep its contrasting sections visually distinct. Orange FOUNDATION lettering stretches across a pale panel near the knuckles, linking the branding to the accent color. The palms emphasize dark padding and visible stitching, offering a simpler appearance than the more detailed glove backs.

Float Value

The float value of ★ Specialist Gloves | Foundation ranges from 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Neither StatTrak nor Souvenir versions exist, so cosmetic condition is the main variant distinction rather than an alternative edition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Specialist Gloves | Foundation has the Extraordinary rarity grade. The chance of obtaining this specific finish from the Glove Case is 0.011%, a figure that should not be treated as the general Extraordinary rate. It is one of 94 Gloves skins and remains obtainable through existing source cases, marketplace purchases, and player trades.

Why it’s Popular:

• Orange accents complement white, black, and orange loadouts

• Textured backs contrast with simpler padded palms

• FOUNDATION lettering gives the finish a distinctive visual identifier

• Documented ownership by rain, DANK1NG, and XANTARES

Price Range

The live price range for ★ Specialist Gloves | Foundation is $150.08 to $2,150.00. These bounds cover the whole item, not any permanently assigned exterior. Exterior and exact float are central comparison points when assessing differently conditioned pairs across CS2 skin listings. There are no StatTrak or Souvenir editions to separate from the standard gloves. Buyers should compare condition and listing images alongside the asking price, while sellers can use comparable pairs to inform their own offers.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Glove Case or Operation Hydra Case for a chance to obtain Foundation gloves. Neither case receives new drops, but existing stock can still be bought and opened. The Foundation chance from the Glove Case is 0.011%, so opening it does not provide a dependable way to secure this specific finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct route to buying an existing pair of Foundation gloves. Check the advertised exterior and exact float rather than choosing by price alone. Unlike opening a case, this route allows the buyer to select a particular listed pair.

4. Trade with Other Players

Foundation can also be obtained through a player-to-player exchange for another player's existing pair. The trade offer should identify the correct finish and exterior, with the float inspected before acceptance. Comparing the offered pair with current listings helps assess the exchange without assuming every exterior has the same value.

Trading and Investment Considerations

With neither source case receiving new drops, unopened case supply can only shrink as existing stock is opened. Professional ownership provides evidence of use, but it does not establish how quickly a particular pair will sell. Prices vary substantially across exteriors, so traders should compare similarly conditioned pairs rather than treating all Foundation listings as equivalent.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Neither source case receives new drops

• Extraordinary rarity with a low documented Glove Case chance

• Documented professional ownership

• Distinctive orange accents and FOUNDATION branding

• Exterior options accommodate different condition preferences

The investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired source cases, documented professional ownership, and a distinctive finish. The main risk is uncertain demand for individual exteriors, especially when committing more funds to a higher-priced pair. These factors support a measured holding case, not a prediction of appreciation or quick resale.
