Short Description

R8 Revolver | Reboot is a CS2 pistol skin with a red, silver, and black mechanical design. Angular panels and compact markings detail the upper body, while the grip remains dark and textured. It suits players who prefer technical styling with contrasting colors. All exterior categories are available, alongside regular, StatTrak™, and Souvenir versions.

Description

R8 Revolver | Reboot applies a Custom Paint Job finish to the R8 Revolver in CS2. Its design pairs angular silver panels with a black and dark gray foundation, then adds small red markings. Most visual detail sits on the upper body rather than covering the textured grip. The palette suits loadouts built around black, silver, or red accents. The revolver itself combines an accurate, powerful shot with a lengthy trigger pull. Rapid hammer fanning provides another firing option at close range. Stewie2K, Maikelele, and misutaaa are among the professional players who own this finish. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value, and version when selecting a copy for their inventory.

History and Origin

R8 Revolver | Reboot was released in CS:GO on June 15, 2016, alongside the Gamma Case. It arrived through the Gamma Case Skins update. RR3, a Steam Workshop community designer, created the finish. The skin belongs to The Gamma Collection, which also defines its supported trade-up route. Its flavor text uses a troubleshooting joke about switching something off, then back on. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Gamma Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so retirement did not remove that acquisition route. Today, the skin can also be purchased directly, traded between players, or obtained through eligible Trade Up Contracts.

Finish Style

Reboot uses a Custom Paint Job finish with a mechanical, moderately detailed appearance. Angular silver panels cover parts of the barrel housing and frame. Black and dark gray sections contrast with those brighter surfaces. Red bars, small markings, and lettering appear along the barrel, frame, and cylinder. The mostly dark gray cylinder includes silver sections, with thin pale blue lines visible above it. The grip stays dark and textured, with deep finger grooves contrasting against the paneled upper body. A narrow silver edge at the grip's base adds a small metallic-looking accent. Most markings are concentrated above the grip, keeping the strongest visual emphasis on the revolver's upper structure.

Float Value

The R8 Revolver | Reboot float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with no standard exterior category excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist; version type is separate from the float value and cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

Reboot is a Restricted pistol skin in The Gamma Collection. Its chance from the Gamma Case is 3.2%, about 1 in 31 drops. Ownership by Stewie2K, Maikelele, and misutaaa establishes professional presence, but does not measure wider buyer demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Mechanical styling with red accents and angular silver panels

• Dark, textured grip balances the detailed upper body

• All exterior categories available for condition-focused buyers

• StatTrak and Souvenir options for different collection preferences

Price Range

The live R8 Revolver | Reboot price range is $1.02 to $19.99. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Compare listings by exact float as well as the exterior label. Regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies should be checked separately rather than assuming their prices match. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match the version and condition before deciding where to buy, sell, or trade.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Gamma Case

Open a Gamma Case for a chance to obtain Reboot. Its chance is 3.2%, about 1 in 31 drops. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Gamma Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Reboot is a possible result, not a guaranteed outcome. The result is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy the skin directly on the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a random case or contract result. Check the copy's exterior, version, and float before comparing it with other listings.

5. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player who owns a copy of Reboot. Confirm the item name, exterior, float, and version before accepting, especially when choosing between regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The Gamma Case receives no new drops, so its remaining unopened supply shrinks as cases are opened. Existing cases and trade-ups still provide acquisition routes, so retired case supply does not mean a fixed supply of the skin. Compare regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings carefully, since documented professional ownership does not establish broad demand or a reliable price trend.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired Gamma Case supply

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Low price level for an accessible purchase

• StatTrak and Souvenir options expand collecting choices

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by retired case supply, professional ownership, and a low price level. Those factors justify considering a modest hold, but do not establish a strong short-term opportunity. The main risk is uncertain buyer demand while existing cases and trade-ups continue to provide acquisition routes.
