Nomad Knife | Case Hardened

The ★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a mottled, multicolor blade and a restrained dark handle. Its blue, purple, pink, and pale gold finish suits players who want colorful metal rather than a uniform painted look. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with regular and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

The ★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened brings a colored Patina finish to an ergonomic tactical hunting knife in CS2. Its broad, sturdy blade gives the irregular metallic patches a substantial surface to cover. A silver-gray handle frame and dark grip provide a quieter contrast to the blade's shifting colors. The underlying lock-blade design includes composite handle inserts, combining practical-looking construction with a decorative finish. This look suits players who prefer visible metal textures and varied color over a single-color blade. Regular and StatTrak versions provide different ownership options without changing the underlying knife model. Buyers can compare exterior condition, exact float value, and the visible finish of individual copies. Inspecting the listing image alongside those details helps connect the advertised condition with the knife being offered.

History and Origin

The ★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened debuted on November 18, 2019, with the Shattered Web Case. Its release belonged to the Operation Shattered Web update, tying its introduction to that operation. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. The Fracture Case also contains this knife, providing another case-opening route beyond its original release case. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, neither the Shattered Web Case nor the Fracture Case drops anymore. Existing cases remain available to buy and open, so their retirement did not remove the knife's case-opening routes. Players can also obtain an existing copy through the Steam Community Market or a player-to-player trade, without opening a case.

Finish Style

Case Hardened uses the Patina finish style, with wood charcoal and high temperatures creating the colored metal treatment. The blade shows irregular blue, cyan, purple, pink, and pale gold patches rather than a uniform surface color. On the pictured knife, blue and purple are concentrated toward the tip. Pale gold occupies much of the blade near the handle, giving that area a warmer metallic appearance. A bright silver strip follows the upper edge, adding a clean line beside the mottled colors. The handle has a silver-gray metal frame with visible screws that emphasize its mechanical construction. Inside that frame, a dark grip panel carries a fine texture while remaining visually understated. The contrast between the colorful blade and mostly plain handle makes the metal finish the central visual feature.

Float Value

The ★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior tier is excluded. Regular and StatTrak versions are available; version choice is separate from the exterior condition represented by float.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened has Covert rarity. Its chance from the Shattered Web Case is 0.0049%, and that figure applies specifically to that case. Professional players DANK1NG and FlameZ own the skin, although their ownership alone does not establish broad market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Mottled metallic colors give the blade a distinctive appearance

• The dark handle contrasts with the colorful blade

• Every exterior tier is available

• Regular and StatTrak versions offer different buying options

Price Range

The live ★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened price range is $124.99 to $800.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than any fixed exterior or version. Exterior condition and StatTrak status are relevant differences when comparing asking prices. Check the exact float and listing image instead of treating every copy within an exterior tier as interchangeable. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match the version and condition before deciding which listing to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Shattered Web Case or Fracture Case for a chance at this knife. Neither case drops as of October 9, 2026, but existing cases can still be bought and opened. This route cannot guarantee the specific Case Hardened finish, so buying a listed copy avoids relying on an opening outcome.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing ★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened through the Steam Community Market. Check the listing's exterior and whether it is a regular or StatTrak version before comparing offers. A direct purchase selects an available copy rather than leaving the result to a case opening.

4. Trade with Other Players

Obtain the knife through a player-to-player trade with someone who owns a copy. Confirm its exterior, float value, and regular or StatTrak status before agreeing to the exchange. Inspect the offered knife's appearance so the trade concerns the copy intended, not just the finish name.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired source cases limit replenishment through new case drops, but existing unopened cases can still produce additional knives. The listed price spread makes exterior and StatTrak status important when comparing entry costs. Buy, sell, and trade decisions should account for those differences, while recognizing that available listings do not establish future demand or resale speed.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Source cases no longer receive new drops

• Distinctive multicolor Case Hardened blade

• Regular and StatTrak versions broaden buyer choice

• Professional ownership by DANK1NG and FlameZ

The ★ Nomad Knife | Case Hardened receives a medium investment rating. Retired source cases support the supply argument, while the spread of listed prices makes individual variant selection important. The main risk is uncertain future resale demand, with existing cases still able to introduce additional copies.
