Short Description

★ M9 Bayonet | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a mottled metallic blade. Gold, blue, purple, and dark gray patches contrast with its dark textured handle. The look suits players who prefer irregular color over a uniform finish. It comes in Factory New through Battle-Scarred, with standard and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

★ M9 Bayonet | Case Hardened brings a multicolored metal finish to the M9 Bayonet in CS2. Its Case Hardened treatment belongs to the Patina finish style rather than presenting a single solid color. The broad blade, oval hole, and serrated spine give buyers several distinct surfaces to inspect. A mostly plain dark handle provides a visual break from the busy blade pattern. The combination suits players who want a colorful knife without extending that color across the entire handle. ScreaM is a documented owner, providing a professional connection without establishing how widely the skin is used. Buyers can compare standard and StatTrak versions by exterior and exact float value. Listing images also help show how the gold, blue, and purple areas sit across the visible blade.

History and Origin

★ M9 Bayonet | Case Hardened entered CS:GO on August 14, 2013. It arrived through the CS:GO Weapon Case in the Arms Deal update. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. Its case sources also include Operation Bravo Case, Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, and Revolver Case. Other acquisition sources include eSports 2013 Case and Winter Offensive Weapon Case. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, none of this knife's listed source cases receives new drops. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, keeping the case-opening route available despite that retirement. Today, the knife itself can also be bought on the Steam Community Market or obtained through player trades.

Finish Style

The Case Hardened finish uses the Patina style on the M9 Bayonet. Its color treatment involves wood charcoal and high temperatures, giving the metal its varied coloration. Gold, yellow, blue, purple, and dark gray patches create a mottled appearance across the blade. A broad pale gold band follows the cutting edge. Blue and purple areas occupy the upper blade and surround the oval hole. The serrated spine appears darker, with scattered gold and blue highlights. Similar darker tones and colored highlights appear on the metal guard. The dark gray to black handle has a textured surface with raised horizontal grip bands. This mostly plain grip contrasts with the blade's irregular pattern, keeping the colored metal as the visual focus.

Float Value

The float value of ★ M9 Bayonet | Case Hardened ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with none of those exterior categories excluded. Standard and StatTrak versions exist, but there is no Souvenir version; version availability is separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ M9 Bayonet | Case Hardened has the Covert rarity grade. Its stated drop chance from the CS:GO Weapon Case is 0.0039%, which should not be treated as the odds for every other source case. ScreaM's ownership adds professional interest, while existing cases and market listings remain acquisition routes.

Why it’s Popular:

• Mottled gold, blue, and purple blade coloration

• Dark handle contrasts with the colorful metal

• Choice of every available exterior category

• Standard and StatTrak versions suit different preferences

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ M9 Bayonet | Case Hardened is $392.99 to $3,113.54. Those bounds cover the whole item, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare the exact float within each exterior rather than relying on the wear label alone. Standard and StatTrak copies should be evaluated as separate listings, with no Souvenir option to consider. Inspect the blade image alongside the asking price to judge whether a listing offers the desired appearance.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

The CS:GO Weapon Case offers a 0.0039% chance of this finish, and existing copies of its source cases remain available to open. Other sources are eSports 2013 Case, Operation Bravo Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2, eSports 2013 Winter Case, Winter Offensive Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 3, Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, eSports 2014 Summer Case, Operation Vanguard Weapon Case, and Revolver Case. None receives new drops, and opening a case does not guarantee this knife.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy ★ M9 Bayonet | Case Hardened on the Steam Community Market by choosing an available listing. Check the exterior and whether the copy is standard or StatTrak, then inspect its float and appearance where available.

4. Trade with Other Players

The knife can also be acquired through a trade with another player. Compare the offered copy's exterior, float value, version, and visible blade coloration before accepting. Case-opening odds do not apply to acquiring an existing copy through a trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Its source cases no longer receive new drops, although existing inventories can still produce additional knives through openings. ScreaM's ownership provides collector context, but broad demand and resale speed remain uncertain. Before deciding to buy, sell, or trade, compare standard and StatTrak listings by exterior, float value, and visible coloration.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases limit fresh case supply

• Documented ownership by ScreaM

• Distinctive multicolored Patina finish

• Standard and StatTrak options broaden buyer choice

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired source cases, distinctive styling, and documented professional ownership. The main risk is that existing cases can still add knife supply, while professional ownership alone does not establish sustained buyer demand.
