Hydra Gloves | Rattler

The ★ Hydra Gloves | Rattler is a CS2 glove skin combining mottled snakeskin, dark leather, and brass-colored hardware. Fingerless openings and a raised Operation Hydra serpent logo give the design a rugged, detailed character. Its earthy palette suits players who prefer tan, brown, and olive equipment over bright colors. All exteriors are available, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, without StatTrak™ or Souvenir versions.

Description

The ★ Hydra Gloves | Rattler brings an earthy, material-focused finish to CS2 gloves. Its appearance relies on contrasting snakeskin, padded leather, and metallic fittings rather than a single flat color. The patterned backs carry the busiest detailing, while broader leather sections give the palms a simpler appearance. Operation Hydra branding sits on the backhand patch, making the emblem part of the design rather than a separate accessory. Players building a brown or olive loadout can use the muted palette to keep their gloves visually consistent with their equipment. Professional players jL, captainMo, and yel have owned this finish. Buyers can compare exterior and float value alongside images of each listed copy. Its Extraordinary rarity remains separate from cosmetic condition, so a worn exterior does not change the skin's rarity grade.

History and Origin

Valve released ★ Hydra Gloves | Rattler on February 14, 2018. It arrived with the Clutch Case in the "Clutch Case Skins" update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. The Operation Hydra serpent emblem supplies its visible branding, while snakeskin and brass establish its material identity. The Revolution Case also contains this finish, providing another case-opening route beyond the original release. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Clutch Case drops. Existing Clutch Cases can still be bought and opened, so retirement did not remove that acquisition route. As of October 9, 2026, the Revolution Case remains in the Weekly Care Package drop pool, allowing new cases to enter the market.

Finish Style

Rattler combines leather, snakeskin, and brass in a fingerless glove design. Mottled tan, brown, and olive markings cover the backs, creating an irregular natural texture. That snakeskin pattern also extends around the finger openings rather than remaining confined to the central panels. Dark brown leather covers the padded knuckles, palms, and cuff straps. Lighter tan panels near the wrists break up those darker sections. A brown backhand patch carries a raised Operation Hydra serpent logo, with brass-colored studs lining its edges. Round brass-colored fasteners add smaller metallic details to the wrist straps and areas near the fingers. The contrast between busy patterned backs and broader, plainer palms gives the finish distinct surfaces to inspect in listing images.

Float Value

The ★ Hydra Gloves | Rattler float range runs from 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Neither StatTrak nor Souvenir versions exist, which is a version restriction separate from the cosmetic condition of an individual pair.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Hydra Gloves | Rattler belongs to the Extraordinary rarity grade. Its stated drop chance from the Clutch Case is 0.011%, a figure that should not be applied to the Revolution Case. It is one of 94 glove skins, with acquisition routes through case openings and existing marketplace copies.

Why it’s Popular:

• Earthy snakeskin colors suit brown and olive loadouts

• Raised Operation Hydra branding adds a recognizable focal point

• Brass-colored fittings contrast with dark leather

• Fingerless styling combines patterned backs with simpler palms

Price Range

The live ★ Hydra Gloves | Rattler price range is $25.82 to $163.01. These bounds cover the whole finish, not particular exteriors. Condition affects pricing, so compare Factory New, Minimal Wear, and more worn copies separately. Check the exact float and listing images rather than relying on the exterior label alone. There are no StatTrak or Souvenir price branches to compare, keeping the focus on condition and the individual offer.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Clutch Case or Revolution Case for a chance at this finish. Existing Clutch Cases remain available to buy and open despite retirement, while the Revolution Case continues entering the market through weekly drops. The Clutch Case chance is 0.011%, so an opening does not ensure this particular finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing pair through the Steam Community Market by choosing an available listing. Compare its exterior, float information, and images before purchasing. This route selects a listed copy directly instead of relying on a case opening, although selection depends on current listings.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player who already owns this finish. Check the offered pair's exterior and float, and inspect its appearance before agreeing to the exchange. A direct trade provides an existing copy rather than a chance at the gloves through either case.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Supply is not restricted to retired Clutch Cases because the Revolution Case remains in the weekly drop pool. Professional ownership provides visibility, but it does not establish sustained buyer demand or a price-growth trend. Before buying, selling, or trading, compare like-for-like exteriors and exact floats rather than treating all pairs as equivalent.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Verified ownership by professional players

• Distinctive snakeskin, leather, and brass detailing

• Valve-created finish with Operation Hydra branding

• Original Clutch Case no longer receives new drops

The investment rating is medium, balancing professional ownership and a distinctive design against continuing Revolution Case supply. Clutch Case retirement limits that original source, but it does not make the glove's overall supply closed. The main risk is continued availability without established evidence of rising demand, so price growth should not be assumed.
