About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Quality describes the exterior associated with float value. This finish spans 0.00 to 0.48 and includes Factory New through Battle-Scarred; StatTrak is a separate version choice.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is the item's assigned grade, separate from its float or exterior. This knife is Covert and has a 0.0085% chance from the Operation Riptide Case.

How much does the ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand cost?

The live range is $54.11 to $1,921.33. These bounds cover the whole skin, so compare each listing's exterior, float and version.

Which cases contain the ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand?

The Operation Riptide Case and Dreams & Nightmares Case contain this knife. Riptide no longer drops, but existing cases can be opened; Dreams & Nightmares remains in the weekly drop pool.

Does the ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand have StatTrak™ versions?

Yes, StatTrak™ versions are available alongside regular copies. The finish includes every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred.

Is the ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand a good investment?

It has a medium editorial investment rating. Covert rarity and distinctive artwork support its appeal, but Dreams & Nightmares openings continue adding supply, and resale gains are uncertain.

Short Description

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand is a CS2 knife skin with a purple-and-black blade covered in silver-white artwork. Densely arranged figures, faces and abstract markings contrast with its mostly black handle. The design suits players who prefer illustrated finishes and purple accents over a plain blade. All exteriors from Factory New to Battle-Scarred are available, alongside StatTrak™ versions.

Description

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand brings a densely illustrated finish to the tactical Huntsman Knife in CS2. Its Tanto point and toothed spine give the weapon a distinctive shape beneath the decoration. A purple-and-black base anchors the design, while bright markings draw attention across the blade. The artwork mixes recognizable figures with abstract shapes rather than relying on a single central motif. A mostly plain handle provides visual contrast, keeping the decorated blade as the main focus. This combination suits purple-themed loadouts and players who want visible detail without a broad rainbow palette. Buyers can choose across the full exterior lineup rather than being restricted to a narrow set of conditions. Regular and StatTrak versions offer separate ownership options. When comparing copies, check the exterior, exact float and listing image together to judge whether the specific knife matches the intended look.

History and Origin

The Freehand finish for the Huntsman Knife was released on September 21, 2021. It arrived with the Operation Riptide update, establishing its connection to that release. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. Its original case-opening route was the Operation Riptide Case. The Dreams & Nightmares Case also offers this knife, giving it another acquisition route beyond its release container. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Operation Riptide Case no longer drops. As of October 9, 2026, the Dreams & Nightmares Case remains in the weekly drop pool through the Weekly Care Package. Existing Riptide cases can still be bought and opened, so retirement does not remove access to their contents. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing copy through marketplace purchases or trades with other players, without relying on a case opening.

Finish Style

Freehand is classified as an Anodized Multicolored finish, with a visual identity built around metallic-marker-style decoration. The blade carries a black-and-purple base rather than a uniform solid color. Bright silver-white markings sit across that base, creating a busy contrast between the artwork and darker background. Outlined figures and faces appear among the densely packed drawings, giving the surface an illustrated character. Curls, zigzags and small abstract shapes fill the spaces around those recognizable elements. Purple patches remain visible between the markings, tying the blade's different sections together. The saw-like teeth along the spine appear mostly silver-gray, adding a distinct edge to the decorated surface. The predominantly black handle has fine grooves, deep finger cutouts and purple fasteners that echo the blade's palette. Decoration across the blade and guard contrasts with the restrained handle, concentrating the visual detail toward the knife's working end.

Float Value

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand has a float value range of 0.00 to 0.48. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories is missing. StatTrak™ versions are available; version choice is separate from the exterior and float used to compare cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand belongs to the Covert rarity grade. Its drop chance from the Operation Riptide Case is 0.0085%, making that acquisition route a low-probability attempt rather than a dependable way to obtain it. That case-specific figure should not be treated as an odds figure for the Dreams & Nightmares Case.

Why it’s Popular:

• Silver-white drawings stand out against the purple-and-black blade

• Figures, faces and abstract shapes create an illustrated look

• A mostly black handle balances the densely decorated blade

• Full exterior availability and optional StatTrak broaden buyer choice

Price Range

The live ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand price range is $54.11 to $1,921.33. Those bounds cover the entire skin across available listings, not a fixed price for any named exterior or version. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred copies by exterior and exact float value, then separate regular listings from StatTrak editions. A high asking price alone does not establish the going rate for other copies with the same finish. Before deciding to buy, sell or trade, match the listing's version and visible condition to the copy under consideration.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open the Operation Riptide Case or the Dreams & Nightmares Case for a chance at this knife. The Riptide chance is 0.0085%, and existing cases can still be bought and opened even though no new Riptide cases drop. Dreams & Nightmares remains in the Weekly Care Package drop pool, but opening it does not guarantee this finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy a listed ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand on the Steam Community Market to select an existing copy instead of relying on a random case result. Compare its exterior, float and regular or StatTrak version before choosing a listing, rather than treating every Freehand knife as interchangeable.

4. Trade with Other Players

Obtain the knife through a player-to-player trade using an existing copy held by another player. Confirm the exact weapon, finish, exterior and StatTrak status against the agreed item before accepting. Review the float and appearance as well, since the finish name alone does not describe the copy's condition.

Trading and Investment Considerations

New copies can enter circulation through Dreams & Nightmares openings, despite the retired Riptide case drop route. For trading, compare regular and StatTrak copies separately, checking exterior and float before judging whether an asking price fits the item. Future demand and resale prices remain uncertain, so a broad listing range should not be mistaken for evidence of a reliable growth trend.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Covert knife rarity

• Distinctive purple palette and silver-white artwork

• Regular and StatTrak versions support different buyer preferences

• Existing Riptide cases form a finite acquisition source

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Freehand receives a medium investment rating, balancing Covert knife rarity and a distinctive finish against an active case source. Continued supply through Dreams & Nightmares is the main risk, while future demand remains uncertain. Buying for the design is easier to justify than assuming short-term resale gains.
