Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest is a CS2 knife skin with forest camouflage across its broad tactical blade. Olive green, pale khaki, and dark brown-gray patches contrast with a nearly black handle. Its muted palette suits players building an earth-toned loadout rather than choosing a bright finish. All exterior grades are available, with regular and StatTrak™ versions to compare.

Description

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest brings a camouflage finish to a tactical knife with a distinctive Tanto point. Its hydrographic treatment covers the broad blade face with irregular, overlapping shapes rather than a single flat color. The subdued greens and browns give the weapon a woodland-inspired appearance that suits players who prefer restrained colors. A bright metallic cutting edge provides a clear boundary beneath the busy camouflage pattern. The nearly black handle balances the painted blade without adding another prominent color. Buyers can choose from every exterior grade, making float value an important part of selecting a particular copy. Regular and StatTrak versions offer separate ownership options, while no Souvenir version exists. Before buying, players can compare the exterior, exact float, version, and visible condition rather than judging the knife by its finish name alone.

History and Origin

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest entered CS:GO on May 1, 2014, alongside the Huntsman Weapon Case. Its release formed part of the Huntsman Case Skins update. Valve created the skin, so its origin is not attributed to a community designer. The underlying weapon was designed for tactical, combat, and practical uses, with a Tanto point intended for penetrating tough surfaces. Its flavor text connects the forest theme with dangerous woodland surroundings and the importance of traveling with company. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Huntsman Weapon Case drops. Existing cases can still be purchased and opened, preserving the original acquisition route without replenishing case supply through drops. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing knife through the Steam Community Market or a trade with another player.

Finish Style

Boreal Forest uses a Hydrographic finish to apply woodland camouflage across the knife. Olive green, pale khaki, muted green, and dark brown-gray form the main color palette. Irregular patches overlap across the broad blade face, creating a busy surface with no single dominant shape. The camouflage also reaches the guard and exposed handle edges, connecting those areas visually with the blade. A narrow, bright metallic line follows the cutting edge and contrasts with the muted painted surface above it. Large notches along the spine give the upper blade outline a distinctly rugged shape. The nearly black handle has fine curved ridges and several round metal fasteners. Its comparatively plain appearance keeps the visual focus on the patterned blade rather than competing with the camouflage.

Float Value

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest has a float range of 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of these exterior grades is missing. Regular and StatTrak versions are available, but there is no Souvenir version; these version choices are separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest belongs to the Covert rarity grade. Its stated chance of appearing from the Huntsman Weapon Case is 0.02%, making a case opening an uncertain route to this specific finish. Although that case no longer drops, existing cases can still produce the knife, and existing copies remain obtainable through purchases and trades.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted camouflage suits earth-toned loadouts

• Broad blade displays the overlapping forest pattern clearly

• Dark ridged handle contrasts with the patterned blade

• Regular and StatTrak versions offer different buying options

Price Range

The live ★ Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest price range is $47.72 to $442.54. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Factory New options can occupy a higher price bracket than worn copies, so condition deserves attention alongside the regular or StatTrak designation. A useful CS2 skin price comparison checks matching exteriors and versions rather than treating every Boreal Forest listing as equivalent. Review the exact float and visible condition before deciding which listing offers the right balance of appearance and cost.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Huntsman Weapon Case

Open a Huntsman Weapon Case for a chance to obtain this knife, with a stated drop chance of 0.02%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. An opening does not ensure that the result will be Boreal Forest.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest can be bought on the Steam Community Market without relying on a case opening. Compare the listed exterior and regular or StatTrak version, then check the individual copy's float and appearance before purchasing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain the knife by trading with another player who owns a copy. Confirm the item name, exterior, float, and version before accepting, especially when comparing regular and StatTrak offers.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Existing Huntsman Weapon Cases can still create copies, but new case drops no longer replenish that source of supply. Future demand and resale speed remain uncertain, so the retired case alone does not establish a strong short-term trading opportunity. When planning to buy, sell, or trade, compare matching exteriors and versions rather than relying on the skin-wide price range.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case limits replenishment of opening supply

• Distinctive forest camouflage on a broad tactical blade

• Regular and StatTrak versions broaden available ownership choices

• All exterior grades support different condition preferences

The ★ Huntsman Knife | Boreal Forest receives a medium investment rating. Its retired case limits future case replenishment, while its camouflage finish and version choices give buyers concrete features to compare. The main risk is uncertain future demand, since limited case supply does not establish price growth or a quick resale.
