Flip Knife | Stained

★ Flip Knife | Stained is a CS2 knife skin with a mottled silver-gray blade and a muted olive-gray handle. Its dark patches and cloudy patina suit players who prefer weathered metal over colorful artwork. The curved blade, bright cutting edge and contrasting hardware give the design clear visual detail. It comes in every listed exterior, with regular and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

★ Flip Knife | Stained is a cosmetic finish for the Flip Knife in CS2. Its Patina finish gives the blade an irregular metallic appearance rather than a uniform painted surface. The Persian-style blade sweeps backward toward an acute point, providing a distinctive curved outline. Dark gray blotches break up the silvery blade and form the main visual feature. The olive-gray handle adds a subdued contrast without competing with the stained metal. This look suits neutral loadouts and players who favor visible texture over illustrations or lettering. Buyers can choose regular or StatTrak versions across the available exterior range. When comparing listings, the exact float value, exterior, version and item images help distinguish individual copies.

History and Origin

★ Flip Knife | Stained was released in CS:GO on August 14, 2013, with the Arms Deal update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. Its debut case was the CS:GO Weapon Case, which remains a source through existing case openings. Other eligible containers include the Operation Bravo Case and Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. The Revolver Case also contains it, so acquisition is not limited to its original container. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, none of this knife's eligible cases receive new drops. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened, keeping case acquisition possible despite that retirement. The knife itself can also be bought directly from marketplaces or obtained through player trades.

Finish Style

The Patina finish uses lemon and mustard to create an intentionally stained metal surface. A silvery-gray base remains visible between irregular dark gray blotches across the blade. Cloudy patches add uneven shading without forming a printed illustration or repeating graphic. A brighter strip follows the curved cutting edge and separates it visually from the mottled blade face. Short serrations appear near the handle, adding detail close to the pivot. The muted olive-gray handle has dark recessed grooves and a fine dotted texture toward its rounded end. Silver pivot hardware and fasteners stand out against this darker handle. With no visible text or artwork, the finish relies on metal tones, contrasting surfaces and the knife's curved shape.

Float Value

The float value range for ★ Flip Knife | Stained is 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of these exterior categories is excluded. Regular and StatTrak versions are available; version availability is separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Flip Knife | Stained has the Covert rarity grade. Its drop chance from the CS:GO Weapon Case is 0.0039%, and that figure should not be treated as the odds for every eligible case. Its source cases no longer drop, but existing containers can still be opened and already-owned knives can be purchased or traded.

Why it’s Popular:

• Mottled silver-gray blade with a restrained metal palette

• Curved blade profile and contrasting bright cutting edge

• Regular and StatTrak options across the exterior range

• Textured appearance without visible lettering or artwork

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Flip Knife | Stained is $106.16 to $523.75. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Individual listings can differ by exterior, exact float value and regular or StatTrak status. Inspect item images alongside the condition label, since the mottled blade is central to this finish's appearance. Before buying, selling or trading, compare matching exteriors and versions rather than using the overall range as a valuation for every copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Eligible containers include CS:GO Weapon Case, eSports 2013 Case, Operation Bravo Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2 and eSports 2013 Winter Case. Other sources are Winter Offensive Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 3, Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, eSports 2014 Summer Case, Operation Vanguard Weapon Case and Revolver Case. These cases no longer drop, but existing ones can be bought and opened; the chance from the CS:GO Weapon Case is 0.0039%.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct purchase route for this knife without relying on a case opening. Check the listing's exterior and regular or StatTrak designation, then inspect its float and appearance before buying.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades offer another route to ★ Flip Knife | Stained using items already owned. Confirm the exact knife, exterior, float value and version in the trade offer rather than judging it only by the finish name.

Trading and Investment Considerations

No new eligible cases drop, so openings draw from existing case stock rather than a replenished drop pool. That limits fresh case supply but does not prevent additional copies of this knife from being unboxed. Demand and resale speed remain uncertain, making exterior, float and version comparisons more useful than assumptions about a quick flip.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases limit fresh case supply

• Valve-created finish with an established release history

• Regular and StatTrak options for different preferences

• Distinctive patina and restrained metal palette

The investment rating is medium: retired source cases support a constrained case supply, but demand uncertainty does not justify a stronger verdict. Remaining cases can still produce knives, so future supply and resale prices remain risks rather than grounds for promised returns.
