Flip Knife | Boreal Forest

★ Flip Knife | Boreal Forest is a CS2 knife skin with forest camouflage across a curved, pointed blade. Olive green, khaki, brown and dark gray patches contrast with a narrow silver cutting edge. Its earthy palette suits players building a subdued, camouflage-themed loadout. All exteriors are available, with standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Flip Knife | Boreal Forest brings a woodland camouflage finish to the Flip Knife in CS2. The weapon's Persian-style blade sweeps backward toward a sharply defined point, giving the pattern a curved surface to follow. Irregular color patches fill most of the blade rather than forming stripes or a centered illustration. A silver cutting edge and exposed metal near the handle interrupt the otherwise earthy palette. The olive-gray handle provides a quieter background, with texture and recessed grooves adding detail without extending the camouflage. This combination suits players who prefer muted colors and visible mechanical details over a bright knife finish. Standard and StatTrak versions provide different ownership options without changing the finish's woodland theme. Buyers can compare exterior, float value and individual item images to choose a copy that matches their preferred appearance.

History and Origin

The finish was released in CS:GO on August 14, 2013. It arrived with the CS:GO Weapon Case during the Arms Deal update. Valve created the design rather than a community contributor. Other source cases include the eSports 2013 Case, Operation Bravo Case and CS:GO Weapon Case 2. It also appears in the eSports 2013 Winter Case, Winter Offensive Weapon Case and CS:GO Weapon Case 3. Additional sources are the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, eSports 2014 Summer Case, Operation Vanguard Weapon Case and Revolver Case. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, none of these source cases receive new drops. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, while already-created knives remain obtainable through marketplace purchases and player trades.

Finish Style

Boreal Forest uses a Hydrographic finish built around woodland camouflage. Olive green and pale khaki appear alongside brown and dark gray across the blade. The shapes are irregular and overlapping, producing a busy surface without a single central motif. Camouflage covers most of the curved blade, while a narrow silver cutting edge remains visually distinct. Silver scallops near the handle add another break between the painted surface and exposed metal. The handle is mostly uniform olive-gray, contrasting with the blade's varied patches. A fine surface texture and long recessed grooves give the grip its own visual detail. Small metal fasteners and dark openings around the pivot and along the handle complete the finish's restrained, mechanical appearance.

Float Value

The float value range is 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories are missing. StatTrak versions are available, with version availability separate from the exterior and float of an individual knife.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Flip Knife | Boreal Forest has the Covert rarity grade. Its stated chance from the CS:GO Weapon Case is 0.0039%, which should not be treated as an odds figure for every source case. Although its source cases no longer drop, existing cases can still be opened and existing knives can be bought or traded.

Why it’s Popular:

• Earth-toned camouflage suits subdued loadouts

• Silver blade edges contrast with the overlapping forest pattern

• Textured handle balances the blade's busy appearance

• Standard and StatTrak options across the available exteriors

Price Range

The live price range for ★ Flip Knife | Boreal Forest is $99.64 to $397.70. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. Compare standard and StatTrak listings separately, then check exterior and float value within each group. Individual asking prices should be assessed alongside item images rather than the condition label alone. When deciding where to buy, check that the listing details describe the exact knife being offered.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a listed source case, such as the CS:GO Weapon Case or Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, for a chance at this knife. The CS:GO Weapon Case chance is 0.0039%, making this a chance-based route rather than a direct purchase of the finish. These cases no longer drop, but existing ones can still be bought and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy the knife directly through a Steam Community Market listing instead of relying on a case outcome. Compare the offered exterior, float value and StatTrak status, then inspect the individual item before purchasing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Obtain the knife through a player-to-player trade using an agreed exchange of items. Check the offered copy's exterior, float value and version before accepting, especially when comparing it with another Boreal Forest listing.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired source cases limit new case supply, but opening existing cases can still add knives to circulation. Available exteriors and StatTrak versions give traders distinct listing categories to compare before they buy, sell or trade. A listing price alone does not establish resale speed or a reliable price trend, so future demand remains uncertain.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases receive no new drops

• Standard and StatTrak versions offer different collecting options

• Valve-created design from the Arms Deal update

• Distinct woodland palette for camouflage-focused loadouts

The investment rating is medium: retired case supply supports a holding argument, but it does not establish rising demand. The main risk is uncertain resale demand while existing case openings can continue adding copies, so buyers should prioritize the knife they want over expected returns.
