Short Description

Dual Berettas | Tread is a CS2 pistol skin with gold-painted slides and detailed wave etching across both weapons. Dark frames and patterned silver-and-black grips give the finish a coordinated metallic look. It suits players who prefer intricate decoration within a restrained color palette. All exteriors are available, alongside standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

Dual Berettas | Tread brings an engraved, gold-accented finish to the paired pistols in CS2. The weapon combines large magazines with the accuracy and reload-time compromises of firing both Berettas together. Its most distinctive feature is the dense wave decoration running across the gold-painted slide sides. Comparatively plain, dark central frames separate those decorated surfaces from the tightly patterned grips. The finish is classified as Gunsmith, with its visual identity built around contrasting colors and detailed metalwork. Its gold, silver-gray and black palette suits players assembling a coordinated loadout without bright multicolored artwork. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions give buyers different options while retaining the Tread design. When comparing copies, the useful checks are the exterior, exact float value, version and current asking price.

History and Origin

Dual Berettas | Tread was released on September 21, 2021, with the Operation Riptide update. Its designer is Teo, a Steam Workshop community creator. The skin belongs to The Operation Riptide Collection, which identifies its collection origin. The Operation Riptide Case was its release container and remains the case associated with obtaining the finish. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. The Operation Riptide Case no longer drops, meaning newly dropped cases no longer replenish its supply. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so retirement does not prevent case-based acquisition. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing Tread directly through marketplace listings or a trade with another player.

Finish Style

Tread uses the Gunsmith finish style, with gold-painted slides set against largely dark pistol bodies. Dense wave-like etching covers the slide sides, breaking up the gold surfaces with closely spaced dark details. Bright silver-gray strips follow the upper slide edges, adding a contrasting border above the decorated sides. Gray barrels remain visible at the muzzles, carrying the neutral metallic tones through to the front of each pistol. The frames, triggers and trigger guards are mostly dark gray to black, keeping these areas visually quieter than the slides. Tightly repeated silver-and-black waves cover the grip panels with a raised-looking texture bordered by dark rims. Round fasteners punctuate the grips, while the central frame areas remain comparatively plain. Across both weapons, the concentration of ornament on the slides and grips makes the gold color and wave pattern the main visual features.

Float Value

The float value of Dual Berettas | Tread ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior missing from that range. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, but version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition recorded by a listing's exterior and float.

Rarity and Popularity

Dual Berettas | Tread is a Mil-Spec Grade skin in The Operation Riptide Collection. It has an 11.42% chance of appearing from the Operation Riptide Case, so an opening does not guarantee this particular finish. Documented professional owners include s1mple, pashaBiceps and JDC, although ownership alone does not establish resale demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gold slides contrast with dark frames

• Detailed wave etching across both pistols

• Silver-and-black grips complement the slide decoration

• All exteriors plus StatTrak and Souvenir options

Price Range

The live Dual Berettas | Tread price range is $0.36 to $38.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed price for any named exterior or version. Compare exterior and float together, treating Factory New and Battle-Scarred as distinct condition choices rather than interchangeable listings. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should also be checked separately instead of assuming they share a price. Before choosing a copy to buy, sell or trade, match its version and condition to the listings used for comparison.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Riptide Case

Open an existing Operation Riptide Case for a chance to receive Tread. The case no longer drops, but remaining cases can still be bought on the market and opened. The skin's opening chance is 11.42%, making this a chance-based route rather than a way to select a particular copy.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy Dual Berettas | Tread on the Steam Community Market to select an existing listing rather than rely on a case result. Check the listed exterior, exact float and version, and distinguish standard copies from StatTrak or Souvenir options.

4. Trade with Other Players

Tread can be obtained through a player-to-player trade for an existing copy. Confirm the item name, exterior, float and version before agreeing to the exchange, so the valuation applies to the actual skin being offered.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retirement removes new Operation Riptide Case drops, but existing cases can still be opened to create additional Tread skins. Professional ownership provides a visible player connection without proving sustained demand or quick sales. Compare available variants individually, because limited variant-level price evidence leaves resale depth and short-term trading outcomes uncertain.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case limits fresh case supply

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive gold slides and wave decoration

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden collecting choices

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by retired case supply, documented professional ownership and a distinctive finish. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, particularly when valuing exteriors and versions with limited price evidence. Neither the case's retirement nor a current listing price establishes future returns.
